I’ve heard time and time again how great this restaurant is, but sadly went for my first time and my lobster was extremely over cooked. The scallops entrée, pork chops, and Mykonos ruins drink are absolutely wonderful. Service was fine, but it did take a while for our food to be brought out

I wasn’t sure about this place based on some of the reviews. I’m usually very good w picking the best restaurants based on reviews from different sites but this was iffy. I still took my mom to this place for her bday dinner on Saturday. Well, it was a hit. Noise level wasn’t bad at all, perhaps they listened to the previous Unilocalers’ comments. Food? Deeeelicious. We had the grilled octopus for appetizer. I don’t usually eat them but I knew my mom would like it so yea. Well well well. Yum yum yum. For our meal, we had the 3.2 lobster. It came with some potatoes and grilled veggies. Our waitress said it was plenty for 2. Well, unless you are not a big eater it may have been. I gave most of it to my mom since she is the big lobster lover. I must say, it was super duper yummy. There were like 4 potato wedges and may be 4 grilled veggies. Don’t get me wrong, it was soooo good. Just needed some more. LOL. Anyway, I ordered the spinach pie from the appetizer menu just to fill some of my hunger.(LOL). It was good but wayyyyy too rich for me. So i just ended up having a small piece. The waitress brought my mom a happy bday baclava on the house. Again, not a huge super sweet desserts but this was pretty yummy! Even my mom loved it and she does not eat sweets. Overall, great service and excellent food. Yea, I spent about 200 total to include the tip and valet svc but you all knew that this wasn’t a cheap restaurant! I think it was worth it. The only thing really bothered me was(ok here goes my anal tendencies) the fact that the tables were wayyy too close. It was so close that when a waiter was explaining the menu to the folks that were sitting next to us, his butt(LOL) was essentially right by my mom’s face. He could’ve stood on the other side where there were no one sitting; the way the tables are arranged, he would have been standing behind someone anyway even if there was someone sitting on the other side. Not even mad about the amount of veggies and potatoes. Usually, the side items are a la carte anyway in most of the high end places so I won’t complain about that too much . A side note. Their bread was super yummy too. I don’t know if you noticed, but when you go to a restaurant, if their bread is really good their food tends to be very good. I would definitely come back w my hubby. I recommend this place.

This is a great spot for a fancy night out. Ouzo Bay has great service(we got ouzo shots on the house after a mix up earlier in the meal). The whole bronzino was delicious — and portioned perfectly for 2. The spinach rice was more like a risotto, and I definitely could have used something a little lighter to accompany the meal. Still, it’s a good spot if you want some really perfectly cooked fish!

Oh, I love Will and this bar, I like to consider myself a regular, but this was one of my first times I found myself having an actual dinner here. We got to Ouzo in the middle of happy hour on a Tuesday and the bar was packed. We squeezed in and grabbed a few cocktails. A classic bourbon sour(Bulliet, lemon, a little simply and a frothy egg white) and an Ouzo creation the Sunset over Zerzura. Named after a mythical city in Greece, this was The Botanist Gin, a little Aperol with grapefruit, fresh-squeezed lemon juice and ginger syrup. It wasn’t sweet. I don’t like sweet drinks — this was incredibly balanced — as are all Will’s cocktails. Since it was happy hour, we started with a few appetizers from the special menu. We started with the saganaki tiganito — a Greek kefalograviera cheese in a small cast iron skillet. First its pan-fried, and then flambéed at the table with a little brandy. I owe everyone a flaming action shot, but I was too mesmerised to grab the phone. This is fried cheese folks served with pita toast points; it is one of those that kind of keeps its shapes when it is heated, so it is easy to scoop on to your bread. I love the smooth, creamy texture, and nutty saltiness of this cheese. The octopus(xtapodi sharas) is also on the happy hour menu. This is one of my most favorite dishes they make. Grilled over charcoal so the octopus is still a little crispy, but tender melt-in-your-mouth goodness on the inside. Once off the grill, it’s tossed with sweet Onions and red peppers, and some herbs. There is so much happening in this dish — from the tender grilled mullosc to the red wine caper vinaigrette. As a fan of octopus, I get this every time I come in — sweet, tangy, with a balanced acidity. Next, we had to take advantage of the fresh fish options. We shared the Karavides — which is a small Norwegian lobster. Chef here slices it and grills it and served with a flavorful buttery sauce. I liked these — the meat was tender and rich, with a hint of sweetness. The first three dishes were superb, so I was very attentively awaiting the bronzino. We were warned about the wait, of 30 – 40 minutes, and were enjoying rounds of wine and ouzo, so we didn’t take much notice when it took quite a bit longer. The plating was grand and eye-catching, but that was probably the best part of the dish. The lean Mediterranean sea bass was grilled over charcoal and lightly seasoned with lemon and capers. I think the intention is to let the fish speak for itself, which it did — I was able to pick up on the light mild and sweetness. I only knew the sauce was lemon and capers, because there were lemon and capers on the dish. I would have liked more brininess and acid to come through, as I think it would have highlighted the fish.

The Service it great, i had an early dinner in the bar section. I love the sexy atmosphere, really works well like MOJO. The restaurant is a so beautiful. Fried Calamari was good, but fried calamari is hard to mess up. The Salmon was very tasty, yum. Now the lobster was a bit tough/rubbery, but it’s okay. I can’t wait to go back to try more cocktails and other greek plates. I was extremely full that I did not get the chance to order dessert. i will be back real soon…

Very classy spot in Baltimore. The music was fantastic and authentic. I only had drinks and those were very well crafted. The atmosphere inside was a good mix of class and energy. The patio outside is designed for a glass of wine and a cigar

As a first time visitor of this establishment, I came away really impressed. Granted, the location, vibe, and interior design kinda sorta trumps the food. But the food was good, too. My friends and I came for a birthday dinner. I already had a heavy lunch prior so I wasn’t hungry. However, I managed to wolf down the Kritharaki Me Astako(Lobster Orzo & Cheese) and tried some of the complimentary Ravani Politiko(Coco Cake — traditional Greek cake with shredded coconut and vanilla cream). Also complimentary were some kinda black licorice shots that only I «took to the head». Everyone else chickened out. Boo. Our waiter was lovely. We made reservations beforehand and despite us being late, our dining area was still waiting for us once we got there. I’ll definitely come back to take advantage of the outside dining. Especially, if it’s faces the water.

If you are looking for a bright spot in a city that is lacking on so many levels this might be it. The food and location are outstanding and the service almost had me give a 5 star review. We had whole striped bass grilled it was prepared perfectly. Enjoyable meal.

Within 5 minutes of being seated, the stress just melts away. Great location, good view, relaxed, professional service. Food is good — we had the multiple purees and they were delicious. The sommelier knows what he’s talking about and there is a good wine selection. Enjoy it while the weather is good

This review is about the food only. I’m starting to think that people don’t know what delicious expensive food tastes like. There are so many great reviews in fact if you read through them you’ll get an idea of what to order when you get to Ouzo bay. I was convinced to order the lamb shank where my wife ordered the fish. Regrettably, the lamb lacked taste same with my wife’s fish. They were both bland and we were not impressed at all. My wife and I like the finer things in life but we keep cost and quality in mind as we don’t like throwing money away. On the other hand, the atmosphere, layout, and experience was great at Ouzo Bay. We came after 7pm and sat inside when the blue lights came on and it was truly beautiful. In the end the question is, is the concept and interior design of the restaurant masking the quality and taste of the food? Yup. Does cost meet quality and taste? Nope.

SOBE meet HarbEast, this is the exact vibe I got entering Ouzo Bay. This restaurant oozes sexy summer nights in Miami. Think Miami Vice the 21st century version(Colin Ferrell and Jaime Foxx). White furniture and blue neon lights give the restaurant a Santorini, Greece touch. I happen to love Santorini so this was a huge bonus for me. Packed on a Saturday night in August, with standing room only at the bar and a 40 minute wait for a table(my guest and I didn’t wait that long). We had the opportunity to watch Will the bartender(which seems so informal for what he does) create magic. Packed bar with nothing but happy customers is a sign that great service is being provided. Will made us quite a few fantastic drinks that night blended to perfection. Julian who is the wonderful manager who made sure we were seated in a prime location, came to check on us as well as other managers throughout the evening. Our server for the evening(I wish I could remember his name) provided excellent service from start to finish, making sure we were well informed about the menu, even the waiter assistance were on top of their game, my water glass never hit empty, that to me shows attention to guest. Everyone at the dinner table thoroughly enjoyed their meal. I can honestly say there wasn’t a thing we ordered I disliked. I had the Chilean Sea Bass, one party member had the crab cake, another; the lamb chops and a gorgeous whole fish but the name slips my mind. The atmosphere, the meals and the vibes gave way to a beautiful summer night in Miami … Oh wait I mean Greece … No, No I mean Harbor East. I didn’t matter you could be in anyone of those locations of Ouzo Bay is there you’re sure to have a great night.

Simply the best meal we’ve had in Baltimore in a long time. Food was outstanding. Our group had lamb chops, lamb shank, and pork chops and all were cooked to perfection. Great grilled asparagus and other veggies. Starter zucchini chips were pretty killer, as well. Interesting and well priced wine list… wines were made even better by excellent quality wineglasses, With terrific food and a great serving staff, this restaurant is one we will re-visit, for sure. Nicely done, Ouzo Bay!

My parents love Greek Food, so when they came to visit, I suggested trying Ouzo Bay in Harbor East. My parents don’t come down to Baltimore very often, so when they’re here I want to make sure we go someplace they’re going to love. I’ve also heard great things about Samos and other restaurants in Greektown, but it was a Saturday evening, we wanted someplace that accepted reservations and was near the hotel they were staying in. We started off the meal with Spanakopita, or Spinach Pie, which is one of my favorite Greek dishes. This was flaky phyllo dough stuffed with spinach, leeks, and aromatics. This was delicious, and I would order it again in a second(let’s be honest, I’d order this again from almost everywhere) and it was a great size to share. We also started with the Horiakiki — Greek Salad — it was Traditional Greek Salad with beefsteak tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, onions, feta, olives, kalamata extra virgin olive oil & red wine vinegar. This salad was very traditional, but still awesome and packed with flavors. Next, we ordered the Tiganito Kolokithi — Zucchini Chips — this turned out to be my favorite part of the meal and I’ve been craving them ever since. The zucchini chips were thinly sliced zucchini that were lightly fried and served with tzatziki. These were delicious, when you visit Ouzo Bay, you can’t leave without ordering these. My parents and I also ordered the Bronzino which is Mediterranean Seabass. At Ouzo Bay there is a fresh fish selection that is grilled on charcoal. The fish was incredibly flavorful and the light seasoning and grill preparation let the mild and sweet flavors shine through. We also ordered Paidkia which are Lamb Chops. These were charcoal-grilled and served with grilled asparagus, roasted lemon potatoes & balsamic reduction. The lamb chops were delicious and probably some of the best I’ve had in the city. If you’re looking for great Greek Food, check out Ouzo Bay in Harbor East, you won’t be disappointed by their authentic Greek flavors! Ouzo Bay is part of the Atlas Restaurant Group, their other property in Baltimore is Azumi which is on my list to try hopefully soon!

An inaugural date. He suggested that we try this establishment. I pass it often when I’m on my way to other locations in the area, and have always admired the outdoor seating that is adorned with hues of blue. Gorgeous. Alright, located in the Harbor East, there is valet as well as street parking, which in my humble opinion is dreadful. That back in slanted space thing is for the birds. Unless you have a vespa or a fiat why even bother? Geez. Parking isn’t free, I believe those spaces are metered until midnight. If you go up a block towards Fells, those meters generally end at 6p. Ambiance: ahhh shucks. I’m gonna say it is quite romantical. The indoor lighting, the seating, the intimate settings. Yea they tryna set the mood. We sat in the bar area, which I noticed is void of a tv, which I dig. They actually expect you to talk; engage distraction free, couple that with some good liquors and you have a dope set up. To begin, were a couple of old fashioned, made to perfection I might add. However, how one could mess that up is beyond me. For dinner I had the scallop entrée, which came with a purée of sorts, brussel sprouts and tomatoes. The presentation was absolutely phenomenal. My date for the evening got the I believe lamb steak which came with fava beans and potatoes. Okay, am I the only one that thinks of Silence of the Lambs when someone mentions fava beans… oh and how you need them with a nice Chianti… bwahahaha! Sorry I digress. My entrée was delicious! The scallops were cooked to perfection, the brussel sprouts were roasted well, they weren’t overcooked and they had great flavors, it really married well with the tomatoes and the purée. Initially I was skeptical as I thought that it wouldn’t be filling, but I was quite satisfied. My date thoroughly enjoyed his meal, as it was punished! I did taste the potatoes and I was pleased, they were thinly sliced, baked and it tasted as though there may have been a cheese of sorts mixed all up an through. For dessert we had this custard that had phylo and what tasted of cinnamon and honey. The custard reminded me of what one might find in a crème brûlée, but mixed together it tasted great. It maybe considered overly sweet to some. Our server was extremely attentive, as was the rest of the staff, as the checked on us frequently. I’d return, I hear that the happy hour is really great.

5 stars for bar service and happy hour! I almost don’t want to say it cause then maybe the bar will be full the next time I go… but here’s for the greater good I guess. We go all the time for delicious cocktails and happy hour food. Everything is always always always delicious and the waitstaff and bartenders are perfectly attentive. Ambience, happy hour food and drinks, service… It’s just perfect. I love it here. Now I’m finally giving this place a review after two years of enjoyment because I finally sat down and ate a full meal here. Two big«damnnnn“s in my night. daYUM: how perfectly delicious the food was. DAYUM: the prices. Let’s start with the appetizers. We got the zucchini chips which are delicious crispy light little snacks of happiness(which are also on the happy hour menu and great bang for your buck) and the frilled octopus. Oh my god the octopus is amazing. When it first comes you’re like«shit… that was a lot of money for what’s on the plate», and then you put the octopus in your mouth, bite into it, realize that this is the most amazingly cooked octopus that you’ve ever had in that it has the perfect bite to it but is still unbelievably tender. And you totally forget about how much it was until the end of the night. For the entrees, I got a roasted leg of lamb, and my boy got a whole grilled fish. I would just like to say I come from a family that likes to eat either whole steamed or grilled fish at home so whole fish, to me, is no big deal. Apparently, it’s a big deal when you’re eating out. Priced per pound, the fish here must be fed kobe beef and painted with gold or something. However, I was told by my favourite dining companion that the fish was absolutely delicious and worth it. When someone thinks that truly delicious food is worth the price, you know he’s a keeper. My roasted leg of lamb was quite delicious. I always know that if I get lamb at ouzo, it will be good, and I was right. Their lamb meatballs are really delicious, as is the lamb appetizer. But, total honesty? The last bit of the roasted lamb got a teeny bit dry. And the carrots tasted just a little off. Like off enough for me to be like«Hm… maybe these carrot’s are off» Still, the juices from the lamb ran onto them and it didnt stop me from cleaning my plate. Spinach rice. Yum for a side. Rice, spinach, and olive oil. Who knew? Anyway, this place has amazing food and drinks, a great atmosphere, and a very professional service staff. That’s all I was really trying to say

If there was a 4 ½ that would be closer to our rating… excellent food, definitely pricey. We had dinner reservations at 6pm on last Saturday and sat at the bar until our entire group arrived. The cocktails were very good. We were seated immediately when all 4 were there. We started with the saganaki(initial taste was very salty, which appeared to be less as we ate the rest) and grilled octopus. Both were excellent. Next we split 2 greek salads which were also very tasty, but on the smaller size for the price. For entrées, I had the sea bass. The fish itself was amazing. Very tender and a nice thick fillet. The tomato based sauce withe beans and capers wasn’t my favorite. Next friend got the halibut. Loved the lobster sauce on that. The other entrees were the lamb shank and lamb chops. Everyone enjoyed the lamb dishes. For dessert, we had the baklava like pastry with crème on top which was excellent. We left most of the strawberry shortcake which was the least favorite part of the meal… strange consistency to the cake… a bit crispy instead of soft. Also, I agree with another review about the 2 strawberries on the plate were soggy as if previously frozen. To finish off the night, our waiter brought us ouzo, which was good but I had to drive an hour home so left it there. Service was excellent. Forgot our waiters name. The repeated cleaning of our table with a wet wipe was a bit strange. Overall, a great evening.

I recently stopped in for a few drinks with a friend in the later part of the evening. It’s a classy location with an ambiance and bar that are very inviting. The restaurant area looked quite nice as well. The welcoming of our waiter was warm and proper. We ordered some mixed drinks and were both very pleased and surprise by how perfect their concoctions were made. Just the right amount of everything in the right place! Will be sure to be back again in the near future

I kept the smile on my face from the time I stepped in, until after we walked out. Absolutely amazing service. The food was fresh and full of flavor. We had grilled calamari, fried calamari and grilled octopus along side mussels. Our Entrees were scallops, lamb chops, pork chops and bronzini. We also had a bottle of white and a bottle of red. Both were fabulous. This was my little brothers 21st birthday. They made it a beautiful experience for us. I can’t wait to visit again. :-)

I know some people have really not liked Ouzo Bay. Having been forewarned by family and by Unilocal NOT to order the fish-by-the pound, which is quite deceptive in terms of price, a friend and I decided to make a meal by ordering several small plates and appetizers. We had the calamari, greek salad, baked feta, and spanikopita. I love Greek food and was pleased with how everything tasted, though the portions were quite small for the price, even for small plates and salad. For the price, I was expecting more of a twist or something special about these traditional dishes. I server was attentive but both of us got the feeling that she hated us for some reason. I appreciated the large pours of wine and the complimentary shot of ouzo at the end. They must have gotten plenty of complaints about the volume of the music because it seemed lower. All-in-all, it was a good way to spend a Saturday night and a bustling, fun atmosphere, but the food I tasted is just as good(if not better) at Samos(best Greek in Baltimore… still!) and at a fraction of a price and bigger portions. I would be back if it was suggested for a special occasion, but otherwise, I’m sticking with Greek town.
