By no means is this place as large as the Home Depot or lowes but it’s incredibly well-​stocked for its size. Recently we’ve picked up caribeaners, a new trash can, lawn chairs, outdoor light bulbs. But they have so much more!
Need keys cut? Done. Need some plants for you planter? Done. Need some Adirondack chairs for your stoop? Done. Plus the usual basic necessities of a hardware store. Really fantastically stocked for a neighborhood hardware store! It looks small from the outside but don’t let that fool you. And the people that work there are great: warm, hospitable, and knowledgable.
Parking is always an issue in the city but they’re conveniently located across the street from Safeway so that helps!

I popped in here to try to get a key cut because Home Depot didn’t even sell a blank for my house key. The customer service was exceptional. They really made me feel welcome. Plus, I noticed that they now sell Amy Howard chalk paint — I’ve been on the hunt for a retail store that sells it. Overall, great experience.

And just when you thought the corner hardware store was a thing of the past, this little Ace location has stuck tried and true in the heart of Canton. Yeah, they’re a brand name, so perhaps it’s not the truest form of a mom and pop shop, but the friendly, helpful nature and knowledge of the staff, the efficient usage of a smaller space, and somewhat unassuming location remind me of the hardware stores my Dad would take me to when I was little. The kind that would keep candy for the kids, so you could rev up a mini-​sugar high before getting lost in the aisles of whosits and whatsits. After several good experiences at this Ace, varying from flower shopping to light bulb replacement, I’ve knighted it my go-​to for all things household.

I love this place! The customer service is 1000 time better than Home Depot and it has a very local feel. Whenever I go there they have a solution to my problem. The prices may not be the cheapest, but you’re paying for good quality that won’t break and works well. Shout out to the manager Jenn who was super helpful this morning!

The Canton Ace Hardware offers a destination for one of those dependable trips out doing errands when the ants have suddenly swarmed in the kitchen as the temperatures hit 70 or needing a special glue for fabric. The aces who work there have provided answers that have worked and always great attitudes.

I love this hardware store. They’re not as big as Home Depot but their selection is good enough that they should have anything a typical homeowner would need. Prices aren’t always the absolute lowest, but they’re never unreasonable and you’re paying for much better customer service than you’d get at a larger store. There also appears to be an enormous orange cat who lives in the store, he’s awesome and seems very cool with strangers.

I always used to go across town to the Home Depot for everything, but now I don’t have to! Ace Hardware is a little hidden, which is why I didn’t realize it was there until recently. They have a great selection for any of your household needs, but what makes me want to come back to Ace each time is their customer service. You get a warm greeting when you walk in, then if you are walking around looking for something, someone will always ask if they can help you. Rumor has it that there was also a fire at a conjoining business and the staff of Ace went and helped to make sure all of the dogs got out of the building safely. Such caring people! They also have a cat in the store that just lounges around usually around the cash register. He might own the store, I’m not positive though.

Every time I go in the staff here are so helpful. Whether answering questions about how to get rid of flies or which is the best anchor to use in my drywall, they seem to know it all. And even when they don’t they make up for it. I went in recently to have some paint matched for a patch job and when I got home the paint was a little too light. I brought the paint back hoping for a different sample. After talking with the salesperson we realized that the sample I had was as good as it’s going to get. And rather than say oh well, rather than giving me a credit to the store, they took the paint back and gave me a full refund. Seriously… how awesome is that?

The inside of this Ace looks different than most, but I assume its a privately owned Ace. All in all, I can appreciate that its smack-​dab in the center of Canton… making it easy to find a quick fix of hardware. Immediately upon entering the store I was greeted by an associate who was more than willing to help me. He walked me to all the ends of the store and got me the items I needed and then rang me up at the register. Clean, attentive and friendly service is why I will continue to come back to this store.

Take a hike Home Depot: Ace is the place! Okay, cornballness aside I’ve been here twice this week. We decided to beef up our home security and also a light switch broke and had to be replaced. The first time I went Jon was helping me. He asked me quite a few questions to help describe the lighting situation, he didn’t try to oversell me or pressure me and as a single girl totally out of her element I could have been fooled but he was very kind. Later in the day at home I had a question so I called him at the store but he was busy but he took the time to return my call and answer a few more questions. Today we stopped in there and Eric helped us. I think his badge says he’s in training but you wouldn’t have known it. He was thoughtful and willing to stay with us until all our questions were answered. The store didn’t carry one thing we wanted but they offered to order it specially for us. Thanks guys!

Update: I have been to this location more than i should have due to a lot of unexpected maintenance work at my new house. Every time that I walk through the doors I am greeted with a very warm welcome from everyone that I run across and every single worker there offers to help you locate what you are looking for. This is some of the best and most consistent customer service that I have run across. Do yourself a favor and stop by sometime, you will be as pleasantly surprised as I was.
Original: I just moved to Canton and had a logistical nightmare moving in some furniture, the staff were all very helpful, friendly, and eager to help us find a workaround. The store is clean and very organized, this is the best hardware store in town!
