do not and i mean do not ever order from this trash establishment.. i ordered an item which said nothing about having meat in it, under special instructions i asked for all veggies, it came with chicken and pork. when i called to see if the order could be replaced, they argued with me and told me it was my fault and that it wasn’t their problem that the ingredients weren’t listed… the manager refused to help and refused to replace anything… i’m in customer service, and i would never treat a guest like that… so… warning…do not use this place… the food sucks and they are extremely rude…

After realizing a soda was missing from the order, I called back to let them know. Not only did the woman I spoke to not apologize, she was incredibly rude about having something I PAID for redelivered. She told me it would take 45 minutes to have a can of soda delivered — keep in mind I live 10 minutes away from the carryout. The food is okay but not worth the terrible service. Avoid.

Terrible, just terrible. The food showed up freezing cold and the sweet and sour pork that my husband ordered was so overcooked you could not find meat inside. It had shrunk into oblivion. The chow fun noodles were a cold solid greasy block with little in the way of meat or vegetables. Never again.

this place is very sometimey, you can order from them one week and the food is amazing you can order from them the next week and you wonder if they didn’t pick it up along the way, i was kinda threw when i ordered a cheese steak sub and the lady on the phone told me she didn’t have any bread. your food may arrive fast but sometimes the drivers are rude and pushy. you take a gamble ordering from here. i’m smelling my chicken fried rice and it smells kinda funny. in the trash it goes :-(

I ordered the roast duck soup — pretty awesome for inner city Baltimore. You can’t really find roast duck anywhere close to Charles village.
I also ordered the Singapore noodle without curry, it was the bomb diggity! The roast pork was delicious, I do believe they roast their own pork which is pretty amazing; hard to find that level of dedication. The noodles and flavor was on point, reminds me how my dad cooked it at home.
The cheese steak rolls, pretty great as well. Solid choice for anyone who wants something savory.
I am a pretty picky American Chinese food customer and they won me over :) I do think people need to take a chance on this place!

What a pleasant surprise! So I ordered here because it’s to cold outside and I really wanted some sesame chicken. Soooo I picked this place with no real expectations… And bomb-​pow-​SURPRISE! The Sesame chicken rocked! It was crispy and the sauce was sweet. I got vegetable fried rice instead or pork and they had the little baby corn! Lol awesome. Real veggies! And I also got an order of chicken on a stick and an Ice tea. The chicken on a stick was tender and juicy. And the tea rated great! My food arrived Hot and now I’m full and happy! :).
Oh and I got an order of the baby shrimp. They were very crispy but not in a bad way.

Food was good. I got shrimp egg foo young and they actually put vegetables in the patties. The egg rolls were great. But one of my egg rolls was pork so that loses a star.

Terrible, Bland, boring, overpriced, should I go on? Never again…

Our chicken teriyaki was burnt to a crisp, so much so that nobody would eat it. Every meal we ordered had almost no meat, and was almost entirely filled with onions. Worst Chinese food I have ever ordered, I’ve ordered from almost everywhere else in baltimore. Save your money and get asian taste.

There is a known lack of Chinese food in the area, so options are limited. Of all the Chinese restaurants nearby, I would say this is the best.
Delivery via the Eat24 app is quick, max 1 hr on busy weekend nights, and the delivery people are always friendly. Food is delivered very hot and neatly packaged, no leakage. Generous portion sizes. General Tso’s chicken is probably the most popular order among Americans so of course I tried that as well. The spiciness level can be customized and mild, for me, was a perfect blend of sweetness with a kick of hot pepper. Utensils, napkins, condiment sauces, and rice always included. Overall, the best choice for Chinese carryout and delivery!

The food was great, and they brought it up to my floor rather than the lazy traditional leaving it with the door man. It was delivered fast. Everything was actually there so I’d say they’re pretty accurate. As far as a standard american Chinese food, this was really good.

I cannot believe the rating for China Express is so low. Perhaps reviewers before me forgot this is a freaking Chinese food carryout joint. When this place stacks up against the other Chinese carryouts, China Express stands out among the pack.
I have done both delivery and carryout (mostly carryout) many times, and besides the one time they forgot my free egg rolls (which you get by mentioning the offer when you order over the phone after sending at least $ 20), they have got my orders correctly each time and packed well. One minor complaint is they never give you napkin, but a variety of sauce packets, plastic utensils, and fortune cookies.
Food is great for a cheap Chinese carryout. Items such as the scallion pancakes, egg rolls, shrimp egg rolls (in which there are 2 pieces of actual shrimp!), pizza egg rolls (cheese and marinara sauce inside an egg roll shell), boneless pork, and crab wontons are hidden gems and absolutely delicious. Their pork fried rice and lo mein have the marinated red boneless pork in them, while the chicken variety contain strips of white chicken meat.
Highly recommend this place, especially if you are visiting Union Memorial Hospital and/​or Johns Hopkins Homewood Campus!

No stars for no food. I ordered via eat24 app. The restaurant confirmed the order with an estimated 45 minute delivery time. Waited 90 minutes, no food, called restaurant twice. No answer. Had eat24 try to contact restaurant. Wouldn’t answer for them either. Cancelled order and had eat24 refund me.

To be fair, I’d read the reviews before ordering and knew better. I was just suspending belief.
There’s really not much to say for this place aside from it just being the absolutely worst food I’ve ever put in my mouth. Not the worst Chinese food, mind you, but the worst food. Period.
I ordered the Orange Chicken. Since a picture speaks a thousand words I’ll just post that and you can infer the rest.

My Chinese New Year dinner! We got our food delivered. We ordered the «Americanized» Chinese food items, such as orange chicken and General Tso’s chicken, and they were pretty good! I would suggest trying the fried crabmeat cheese wontons as an appetizer. The delivery was pretty quick and the prices are reasonable. There is no delivery fee for orders over $ 10!

I can’t believe the ratings are so low!!! They arrive quite faster than I read from the reviews, I ordered from them several times, and they never disappointed me. The food is okay– just like any other Chinese takeout place. Personally love the duck noodle soup.

Worst Chinese food I’ve had in a long, long time. Avoid at all costs. They got my order wrong, but it really didn’t matter since everything that did come was awful. At best, it was flavorless. At worst, it was inevitable. The bulk of it went into the trash can. Disgusting.

I ordered delievery from China Express for lunch. Food came quickly and was hot. But it was disgusting, easily the worst I’ve had. Andre’s description of the food is spot on. I won’t ever order here again.

This is my main spot to order from. Compared to other places in the area, this is by far the better. I would give it 5 stars, but the only issue is delivery can sometimes exceed 45 minutes. Food is always beyond expectation.

If you live in Mt. Vernon, this should be your go to place for Chinese delivery. It may not be the most gourmet Chinese Food, but you get what you pay for. Food comes fast, hot, and in large quantities.
