This location is located on the 3rd floor in between the Miller Research building and the Ross building on the JHU East Baltimore campus. A very busy spot for those looking for café style drinks, snack, or casual bite to eat. It is nice in that it is different from what is offered in the hospital but the pricing is a bit steep. They offer many varieties of baked goods. They also have a number of different premade salads and sandwiches. You can also opt to have a warm sandwich prepared for you. There is a breakfast menu that is available anytime and at least two different soup options. What I enjoy most about this location is the Indian food offered on Wednesday and Friday. They have a varying Indian meal or samosas on Wednesdays and on Friday they offer chicken biryani. The baked goods are very tasty it is just a bit much to ask for $ 4 for a rice crispy treat. They also offer many natural drinks and packaged snack foods along with your standard snickers bar. I recommend coming here when you want something a little different. Eating here daily would be costly

This is our fourth and final time visiting The Daily Grind(I gave them an extra strike) and this time, shame on me, I brought out of town quests. While our bagels/lox, egg sandwiches, and coffee were good, the place is dirty, the bathrooms disgusting and the service terrible. On our previous visits I attributed the bathrooms to being heavily used(still no excuse) and the service to being busy. NOTTRUE! Today it was 10am, the place relatively empty. The bathrooms were gross and the staff exuded the same attitude of us being lucky that they even took our order much less being interested in providing any kind of «service» I would love to know who owns Daily Grind. He, she, they, obviously don’t care about cleanliness or service, this kind of stuff always comes from the top down. Good bye Daily Grind, you have seen my last dollar and hopefully your other patrons will wise up and speak with their wallets as well. Maybe then you’ll understand what I’m talking about.

A nice café to get away from the hustle bustle of the hospital. It’s surrounded by windows so you get natural sunlight. My favorite drinks from here are the caramel latte and chai tea latte. The coffee is flavorful and strong. They also have a selection of baked goods, snacks, and foods(breakfast burritos, bagels, salads, sandwiches). I’ve had bagels and breakfast burritos from here before, but they were nothing special. Stick with the drinks :)

Wide range of bagel and other sandwiches. Even wider range of expresso and tea drinks. Funky, comfy atmosphere with charming interior courtyard. Good hangout spot.

The best place to study in Baltimore. Large tables that are almost always free. Bright lighting, inexpensive but delicious coffee and sandwiches, and staff that don’t care if you order one coffee and stay from opening until closing. Their wifi is very dependable. However their bathroom is really disgusting.

So it’s a little contrived, for the residents of fells point who want to pretend they are hip and natural… but it’s still very good. I love any place I get sprouts on my sammy — and their coffee is made with raw hippy love. I like this location the best because of the the shop’s physical structure. It’s multi-roomed and multi-leveled. It is a chain/franchise however, and I’m an advocate for supporting independent coffee shops — so minus 1 star. The other docked star is for the lame-o couples that come here on breakfast dates and talk about how they shop at whole foods and are trying to go green by buying energy saving light bulbs.

Generally quieter location compared to the Wolfe street location, service can be a tad slow due to lower level of staffing. The grilled sandwiches tend to be over-seasoned and too salty for many palates. Get the coffee and move elsewhere for lunch.
