Everything I have ever eaten here has been delicious. They are fast and friendly, although I would recommend calling a few minutes ahead if you are going right at noon. Definitely go on Wednesday or Thursday to try their shrimp salad!

Great food, great service, clean and friendly atmosphere. Lots of food and drink selections. Went there with my sister and a friend for lunch. We all enjoyed our meal. Would definitely go back!

Hot food, decent pastries and coffee ($ 1.50 for a regular cup). Nothing spectacular, but I’m a regular here, mainly b/c I’d rather support «local» as opposed to Caribou (which is next door). Today I came in at 10:37 and asked for an egg/cheese. The manager told me they «stopped serving breakfast» at 10:30. Now, of course, I’ve heard that a hundred times over — at McDonald’s or Burger King, etc. (Not that I agree with the policy… it’s not as though I’m going to order lunch at 10:31 AM.)
But really, David & Dad’s? You want to go that route? You want to be in that terrible echelon of restaurants? So stuck to a policy that you will lose a customer? It appears that way.

The food here is awesome and the prices are totally reasonable. With a sandwich, made from always fresh ingredients, you get a complimentary bag of chips too. It doesn’t look like anything great from out side but I definitely recommend going in to try this place out.

(08/01/2011) Nice little place in the dark heart of downtown Baltimore’s office jungle to grab a quick sandwich. Prices are a little high, but so is the quality of ingredients. Had the «Charles Street Special», $ 7.45; turkey had a subltle pickling spice flavor (like pastrami), lots of speckled brown mustard (which I like), Swiss cheese on the sandwich was melted through, and the rye was indeed grilled to a dark golden brown and crisped. Place is on par with the full-service David and Dad’s up the street.
