I’ll start by sharing that my expectations for this dinner were way too high — I was a underwhelmed by my first experience with Dinner Lab. The dinner was good but nothing blew me away. My favorite course was the soup but that could have been because it was the only part of the whole dinner that was actually served warm, just warm. We were told by others at the community style table that the barely mediocre service we received was abnormal so we could have just been part of an off-​night. I will certainly try out another dinner and will hopefully be able to update my review at that time.

Just an update on Dinner Lab: I went to the second event (held at a former movie theater on The Avenue in Hampden). Location made more sense. Thought most of the meal was off and a bit disappointing. Went again to the third (in a very B’more former small factory spot in Remington). This one KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK! Food was incredible. I hope they’ve hit their stride. Will try to review meal #3 soon.
