I ordered medium well, with a slightly pink center. That’s exactly what I got. I could taste the char on the meat, which by the way was a great cut! It was a tad underseasoned but the salt and pepper helped a lot. For the rest of my review visit:

Sorry to say this will probably be my last visit to the Baltimore location. I’d notice the quality of the bar service slipping steadily over the past couple of years(been dining here since 2005) but tonight was the final straw. Ordered a medium burger, & after an inordinately long wait got a lukewarm and WELLDONE burger that was completely tasteless on top of being burned – along with the roll. The servers seem to be just going through the motions, whereas in the past they were professional, friendly & engaging. No big loss: there are plenty of other mediocre eateries in Harbor East to choose from! BTW: the two stars are for the fries!

We went for Happy Hour on a Saturday evening(Yes! They have Happy Hour on Saturday!) and were quickly greeted by our bartender who provided awesome service and suggestions during our entire visit. The calamari was prepared perfectly! Burgers were excellent! Their spicy Thai Green Beans were perfectly seasoned and spiced! And for dessert, the carrot cake was really really nice! Overall we enjoyed everything about the visit and time we dined at the bar. They offer some nice wines for a great price during happy hour as well.

We had the greatest waiter. We sat in the lounge. This was my fiancé’s first time eating at a Fleming’s steakhouse. He had the bone in ribeye and I had the Chilean sea bass which both we’re very much amazing. We enjoyed our waiter so and I think he enjoyed us as well. He ended up giving us a 4 box of chocolate truffles made with Meyer lemons and some made with espresso bean. When we come back to Baltimore we definitely will be coming to this Flemings.

I give this place three stars because we had a wonderful and attentive waiter named Donnie who really helped make tonight special despite our challenges. Let me begin by noting this was a special evening for us. We ordered the ribeye — one bone in and one a smaller angus beef cut. Our steaks were cooked to the right temperature, which was great because I hate sending things back… BUT they tasted extremely bland and lacked flavor. I worried it was just mine and asked for fresh horseradish to give it a little flavor. However, my bf complained that his ribeye had no flavor either. I tried his and agreed. The manager offered to take our steaks back and add a rub to them, which only resulted in the steaks becoming dry and overcooked while still lacking flavor. The manager took the steaks off our bill but didn’t offer us any other options. Considering it was the end of the night I imagine we got the rushed steaks and they probably didn’t want to go the extra mile. Thankfully, our waiter Donnie was very helpful and offered us other food options. He went the extra mile and we greatly appreciated that because after 10pm in Baltimore I really don’t know what other food options there are for a decent meal. I have had a lot of great steaks and I simply refuse to eat any steak that isn’t amazing because let’s face it — red meat isn’t that good for you — so of your going to indulge you might as well enjoy every bite! I also want to note that they did go above and beyond to improve our experience at the restaurant after we had to send the steaks back. I appreciate that level of customer service. they recognized an error and still helped to make tonight special. Thanks so much to the team at Flemmings for showing such effort to improve our night. I’m very much tempted to come back. They even gave us a gift card to use.

I was looking forward to a great food experience when I was invited to a birthday dinner at Flemings. I ordered the 6 oz. Newport Filet Mignon with a Fleming Salad and Green Beans. The salad and green beans were OK,(but overpriced) and the side of potatoes that came with the steak was good.. The steak was the big disappointment. I had 2 sizeable pieces of gristle in my small steak. I really don’t believe my steak was Filet Mignon, but a much cheaper cut of meat. Definitely not what I anticipated for a high rated steakhouse.

Amazing. We dine often and this evening had the pleasure of hosting a birthday celebration in a private room. Everyone was amazing from start to finish and the food. well that was great as usual. We requested Don who is one of our favorites. Thank you Don, and everyone else who helped make this special evening a great memory for our family. You all were awesome!

Went to this restaurant without reading the reviews and my husband and I really enjoyed the dining experience on a service level and food greatness. Steaks are delicious and the cocktails.

Came here before a show at the Hippodrome to celebrate my birthday. Chose this place because my preferred choices closer to the theatre were all booked because I waited too long to make a reservation :) I knew it would be pricey but holy cow. My husband and I each have a comfort zone when it comes to dining out. My tastes are definitely more expensive, but a $ 60 steak with no sides is out of my comfort zone. Aside from the price — which is fine for what it is — the meal was fantastic. We were seated in the dining room right away when we arrived at our reservation time. Our host showed us how to use their ipad app wine list. It wasn’t long before our server came to introduce herself and take an initial drink order, explain the specials, etc. My husband ordered a beer and I, 7 months pregnant in a wine bar, stuck to water. They brought their homemade parm sourdough, along with a chipotle wine infused butter and a champagne infused butter. It was so amazing, we couldn’t say no when the server offered to bring us out more than one. As she reached over to clear a plate, she knocked the full glass of water over. Her reflexes were like lightening and napkin was of high quality, so luckily the water barely penetrated my husbands lap. We ordered the pan crisped pork belly appetizer. It was phenomenal. I never thought pig fat melting in my mouth could be so delicious. The goat cheese grits and cherry chutney it was served with was perfect. My husband ordered the filet mignon and I ordered the Wagyu NY strip, both midrare and iron crusted. We ordered the Flemings potatoes to share. Both steaks were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The potatoes were cheesy and flavorful. I enjoyed the experience but when the bill came in at $ 150 before tip(one beer, one app, two steaks, one side) I knew it’d be one of very few lovely expensive fine dining experiences. I will absolutely return when someone else is paying the bill :)

Dinner with friends; no special occasion. All of the food was delicious including desert. The service was fast and friendly. My friend even got a free glass of wine because she requested her steak go back for more char. I wasn’t expecting that. We didn’t come off as unhappy at all but I guess they wanted to go the extra mile. The restaurant is located in a tourist area so it’s surrounded by hotels which makes it convenient for out of towners or a special occasion. I’ll definitely be back.

As a fine dining steak place connoisseur, and long time Flemings fan– I am angry and disappointed to write this scathing negative review. Service was perfunctory at best. With sloppy and inattentive service — no refills on water, missing silverware, no follow up, and rapid fire mumbling of specials. Latte machine out of order–«sorry». With a Starbucks sharing the driveway — send someone to get it I said. The manager said«we don’t do that» — ok, then I’ll have plain coffee and fruit. Any other Flemings or fine establishment would have comped one of those two if not both. I got a $ 16 bill for them. Add in tasteless overlooked scallops, Cajun seasoning as bland as cream cheese, and refilling the wrong drink after being asked for refill — and all I can say is Stay Away. Ps I have not stiffed a waiter in twenty years till tonight.

We love Fleming’s the chain, this one just pretends to be part of the family. We went for dinner there on a Monday night around 8pm, restaurant pretty empty, and it took the hostess over 5 minutes to look at the screen, with nobody in front of us to figure out which of the restaurant’s vast majority of empty tables would be best for us.(Clue #1) We sat at the table and the hostess fumbled and dropped the electronic wine ipad but a waiter immediately appeared and took our drink orders. Then equally immediately they delivered bread to the table, that was the last fast service we would enjoy all evening. After a long wait the waiter appeared with our cocktail and glass of wine.(Clue #2) He took our order and then another long wait for our soup and salad to appear. My wife’s onion soup came in a white bowl but looked charred and she had to return it because it wasn’t hot. It came back hot and more charred. The meals took forever to come, as we even joked that we were glad we were not there on a busy night. Service was just not good. The food, the two steaks and the potato side were good. But at $ 51 and $ 55 one might expect that, a side of potatoes is now $ 11.50 and a dessert of a scoop of sorbet at $ 9.50 makes you really want good service to go with it. I think they have out priced themselves out of the market for what they deliver. There are so many better places to go.

Birthday dinner for my bestie and this was the spot… Lets talk about the table bread first… great right but that reddish spread is the real star!!! Ugh! So good!!! The Flemings salad was awesome! I could have had a dinner size salad and been totally satisfied!!! So I went for the salmon and mash taters… First I was delightfully surprised by the mushrooms hiding under the fish… Second, the taters were wonderful! I prefer a few lumps in my mash but they we’re still great… The fish was only appealing because it was cooked to my liking… sauce was something like barbeque sauce… smh not a fan!!! I added some horseradish sauce and it was better but still not good… PLEASEGIVE A ROUNDOFAPPLAUSEFOR… CHEESECAKE!!! A healthy slice of blackberry??? drizzle on top of fresh cream on top of quite possibly the best restaurant cheesecake ever!!! Great end for a special dinner!!!

Update: After my not so great Mother’s Day dinner, I was invited to dine back at Fleming’s, and I’m glad I did. This week is Restaurant Week which is even more of a good deal. Service was impeccable, very friendly host, hostess, manager and waiter. We were seated immediately. I chose the Salmon, Salad, Fleming’s Potatoes and a Cheesecake for Dessert. My son had the Rotisserie Chicken. Everything was delicious. Food Order didn’t take as long after ordering. I will be going back.

What drew me to Fleming’s initially was the fact that it was a prime steakhouse that offered wagyu beef, something that isn’t too easy to find at most steakhouse chains, big or small. I’m not aware of any other steakhouse in Baltimore that offers it in the core of the city. The fact that it is a real wine bar also helped cement the decision. Many restaurants only offer the decent wines by the bottle, which isn’t just expensive for us solo travelers, but very impractical. Overall, it was an experience I found very hard to nitpick. I largely knew what I wanted when it came to food,(14 oz. Wagyu NY Strip), but the wine selection app really surprised me. Far from being just a list of their wines, it helps you choose based on the exact dish you’re ordering along with a number of other criteria. I’m normally wary of wine pairing suggestions given by restaurants, but in this case the wine I got went perfectly with the food. But, what about the steak itself? It was more or less perfect, not only a true wagyu steak but it was cooked to a perfect medium rare, cooked in a way that sealed in the flavor perfectly. The seasoned french fries and wine were the perfect complement to it. The service was gracious without being too overbearing or pushy when it came to appetizers and desserts. The décor is what you’d expect, low-lit and classy without being too over-the-top with the fanciness. If I had to give it some kind of criticism, I’d say it had to be the drink selection. Not the wine selection, that was as good as it got, but Fleming’s only seems to have a minimal selection of beers and individual spirits and whiskies. There wasn’t even any real list of their spirits. I knew it was a wine place and that’s what I was after anyway, but it could annoy someone else that they have a huge selection of wine but asking for a specific kind of Scotch might be too tall an order for them. When it comes to steak companions and rubs, they also seem a little in love with including béarnaise with most things, which I wasn’t personally interested in, but then again I tend to avoid sauces and rubs in general.

I’ve dined out hundreds of times over the years and I can say without a doubt that when I took my wife and our son to Fleming’s last night that it was the best service I’ve ever received. We made a dinner reservation for a Wednesday evening at 6:30pm. The occasion was my wife’s birthday. From the moment we arrived we received amazing service. The waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, and he followed up often without following up too much. Some items to note: — My wife asked about the wine selection and the waiter brought her a complimentary glass of wine. — The host, the manager, the waiter, and even the chef wished my wife happy birthday on multiple occasions. — The chef came out and thanked us for dining with them. He also asked how we liked the food. — The manager made sure to stop by and introduce himself and thank us for our business. — The manager took a photo of us, printed it out, and gave it to us in a frame. — They gave my wife complimentary truffles for her birthday. — Before we left they gave us a a Fleming’s keychain light. — As we left everyone made sure to thank us for dining with them. In reference to the food it was all very good. Bottom line, everyone on the staff went out of their way to cater to us, thank us, and made it a truly special birthday for my wife and for our family. We left Fleming’s feeling like we got the celebrity treatment. It was really incredible. I’ve never experienced anything like it. I really like Fleming’s for any dinner occasion but if you’re going out for a birthday I would HIGHLY recommend eating at Fleming’s.

Went for the easter brunch… was sadly dissapointed. originally went to Teavolve which was closed… while we ordered our meals we called around to other restaurants .with tip spent $ 150 then left and went to 5 guys to eat… lobster bisque was ok… my companion ate two spoonfuls… crab omelet was premixed with spinach and mushrooms… smashed hashbrowns were a burnt over cooked potato that wsd broken up. they were HORRIBLE! Took the dessert to go. I used to sooooo love Flemings but my last two visits have really let me down. Despite me informing the waiter that I do not eat pork… he gave me two pork sausages with my omelette… expected better for the price… on a side note the drinks were pretty good for an $ 8.95 mimosa
