Wasn’t the quietest Fogo experience because of the size of this large restaurant, but the meat selection was delicious as always, and it’s a fun and lively experience for a group dinner.

Steak, Steak and more Steak! We love it at Fogo! Everything is delicious! The caipirinha’s are yummy! My only complaint is it’s always a little long wait and I know it’s totally out of their control.

I came here back in April to take someone out for their birthday. Our server was AMAZING I forgot his name but he is a male with a thick accent. His knowledge of the food and the wine pairings as well as the side sauces was IMPECCABLE!!! I was very impressed with their salad bar selection and the food of course was to die for. I would absolutely love to go back!

Well, I love meat. Lots of meat. The more meat the better. So, I enjoyed my meal here. The salad bar was classy! There was cheese, fruit, vegatables, croutons, dressing, bacon, hard salami, lox and more. The meat servers were quick to drop off fine selections of beef, pork, and chicken wrapped in other meats. The sour note of the meal was the drinks. They were weak as water and a guest in my party never received his drink. The bathrooms were too dirty for my sister and I to use. This was a surprise. The napkins were soft and the mints on the way out of the door were a nice period to the evening. Valet park for $ 12.

Yummmm … The service was great, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was classy. You start out with a few small rolls, which usually is insignificant butttttt the rolls here were AMAZING… 10⁄10 … The outside texture reminds me of the traditional ice cream cone, but it’s bread, and the inside has butter and it kind of tastes like cheese. Ah, no need for butter or additives to the roll. They also provide fried bananas, mashed potatoes, and polenta fries as sides to each table. They give you a card to identify if you want the servers to stop at your table with various meats(green side up is to be served, red side up is means you need a break), essentially green light red light :) The meats come out hot and juicy! I literally heard the sizzle from some of the meats as they sliced the meat in front us. There is a loaded salad bar: veggies, salads, soup, rice, fruits, cooked salmon, cheeses, etc They serve wines, beers, Mixed drinks, and Brazilian specialties. They also have various desserts. We had the tres leches. Yummmmm. The cake was moist, sweet, and the layers of the cake were on point!!! This place is pricey! So if you’re not a meat eater or like meats with a passion, this may not be the place for you. If you enjoy meats at all, this place is Right up your alley. There is a constant flow of servers so there is really no wait once you get in the restaurant. Fogo has a great, classy atmosphere, but not overly classy where khakis would be inappropriate. Definitely recommend this place!!!

Meat is great tasting at the beginning but can’t eat too much, too greasy. If never been here before, try once. If haven’t eat for 3 days come for meat!

I’m not sure why they even have a salad bar, b/c it’s just taking up space in the stomach for more meat. Many of the meats were very nicely cooked and flavorful. My favorites were the picanha, filet, ribeye, parmesan pork loin, beef rib, pork rib, and leg of lamb. The garlic steak, bottom/top sirloin was more tough and I tended to stay away from those. Was nice that ice tea was unlimited refills; sodas are not. Service was excellent, although some of the ‘prime’ meats(picanha, filet, beef ribs) never seem to make it to my table unless we ask for them specifically.

Needed last minute reservations for a group of 9 and Fogo was able to accommodate(the day of). Located in the touristy harbor area of Baltimore. We had walked over, but colleagues said they found a parking garage behind(plus, I saw they have valet). We were seated right away, even though one member of our party had not arrived. The place is definitely set up to handle multiple large groups. We were early, so the place was still relatively empty(that changed during the course of dinner). We started with a round of drinks. Everyone had something different; beer & cocktails, while I settled on a glass of wine(they had a decent selection). First round is the Market Table; where you have a selection of salads/cheese/veggies. I am not a fan of buffet style eating, especially when with a group that everyone is talking; you have to keep stopping or repeat when others return. AND, I was not happy with any of the salads I grabbed from the Market Table. When you are ready for meat, you flip a card and servers are walking around and offer you the different selections. By the time we were ready, the place had filled up and it was pretty loud. Then add servers interrupting throughout dinner, offering their selection and you realize its just a bad idea of a spot if you want to talk. If you have little ones, no worries, they won’t be heard. The meat selection? There were some good cuts of meat and the seasonings enhanced the flavors. Finally, our main server switched out mid-meal so there was a little confusion when ordering the next round of drinks(I don’t blame her for not knowing the first round). But when the bill came, there was also confusion, because one member of our party did not eat any meat, but we were charged for it. We caught the error, which they immediately corrected. For just the Market Table its $ 24.95, but for the whole experience its $ 51.95 Final thoughts? Appropriate for a festive crowd(after a ball game), but if looking for a romantic evening or a place to have uninterrupted conversations, I wouldn’t recommend.

H/H yeah i go to this place a lot, so they have had Happy Hour for quite sometime now. Offerings are good and priced reasonably. $ 8 for their signature Caprinhas and some other drink choices. Food is priced from 6 – 9, beef sliders with their Brazilian cheesy bread. yall know that bread, skewers with chimichuri, some chacut.(yeah i don’t even know how to spell it), but that assortment of cheese and meat platter thing along with some others. All in all good H/H that may keep you within budget. Check it out.

Overrated. Went to Fogo twice in my life. Good that you can try variety of different Brazilian steaks. Bad that they are too salty and by the time you come home, you are gulping down a liter of H2O. I do like their salad bar though as well as the Crème Brulee. That’s about it.

Good but not great. Meats were tasty and plentiful but not always the best cuts. Salad bar was very, very good but u don’t want to fill up at the salad bar. Wine list was limited and over priced. Primary complaint was I felt rushed. No sooner did I relax and digest for a few seconds before a server approached offering more. I had no chance to ‘pace’ my meal. I know it is strange to complain about getting too much attention from servers but in this case that is exactly what happened.

My fiancé and I went here for Valentine’s weekend. He had been once and loved it. I’d never been before. First of let me say… it was extremely overwhelming. It was very busy but not just couples… there were very large groups with tons of children running around. Not very romantic. I heard great things about the salad bar but didn’t find it to be all that great? I enjoyed the meats and cheeses but the salad itself wasn’t very appetizing. I wasn’t a fan of the dressing. Although everything did seem very fresh. They bring a few side dishes to your table. I believe we received fried yucca, garlic mashed potatoes, and caramelized bananas. The mashed potatoes were good but I didn’t eat the others. Out of all of the meat they brought I enjoyed the bottom sirloin the most. It had the most flavor. Everything else seemed to be bland or dry. I did order an alcoholic beverage and shared a chocolate molten lava cake with my fiancé. Those were my favorite part. My drink tasted great and was on the stronger side so I didn’t feel bad for spending $ 13 on it! The service was great. Our waiter made sure we had everything we needed and worked in a timely fashion. My one and only complaint about service is that even when our card was red people would still come up to our table asking if we wanted whatever they were serving. Very frustrating! I would possibly try this place again but not anytime soon.

I feel like it’s going downhill. Some of the chicken cuts were dry. The salad bar is excellent. Fresh fresh fresh. That should not be the high point of an all you can eat MEATHOUSE though. The beef is good. Basically I will not be in a rush to go back.

This place is absolutely amazing if you love all meat!!! You receive a heart, one side red and one side green. When on the green the meat never stops coming to where once you’re ready to eat flip to the red. The entire staff here is truly cares about everyone experience and work as one team no matter«what one» is assigned to the table. A great, different experience if you love meat and can eat the price you’re paying for or more! I would 100% come back.

All you can eat meat with a wonderful salad bar spread. Did I mention that everything here was seasoned and cooked to perfection! The staff makes sure that your dinner party will have a great time. There are a few places that I would drive 2 hours from Rockville to Baltimore through heavy city traffic on a Saturday night to get to and Fogo’s is one of them.

I’m sorry for the 1 star, but for the money you spend in this restaurant you’d expect it to be better. IT’S NOT! I love the concept, but the employees at this restaurant is bringing it down, specifically due to the bad the service they are providing. I probably won’t return ever. There’s a black guy that’s a waiter that gave me and my two guest attitude. He asked me how was everything, I told him I need water(waiting to 30 minutes). And he said to me, «so everything is ok then»??? WTF. And there was so much confusion, we couldn’t figure out who was our waiter. We were there an hour before we had placed our drink order. The meat was either over cooked or under cooked, and that’s what they are known for??? Now they are known for being confused. Please choose another restaurant.

After hearing about all of the hype and talk about Fogo de Chão from my friends & family, as a foodie I had to go check it out for myself! And what better way to experience this steakhouse than going there to celebrate my Dad’s 50th birthday! I made reservations a day prior to coming and I am glad I did because it was packed even with all of the snow the day prior. My party of 4 came around 7:30 for dinner and we went straight to our table with no wait. Our waiters were very polite and kind that they even pulled out the chairs for us so we could be seated. They gave each one of us a circle with a red side and a green side. They explained to us that the green side means that you want more meat and the red side means that you do not want meat at that particular moment. Then, the feasting commenced! We went to the center of the restaurant where there were different types of food such as rice, beans, soup, various types of cheeses, salad, bread, salmon, and several types of fruits and vegetables. As soon as I flipped my circle to green, a server who was circling around the different tables came to me to give me the meat that he was serving. There were several servers each with a different type of meat. They would ask you how would you like it cooked(rare, medium rare, medium well, or well done) and whatever you choose they would either slice you a part of the meat that is cooked to your liking or they would say another server with your meat preference will come soon if they don’t have it at that moment. Also, their lemonade was so good that I would even go as far to saying that it was the best lemonade that I have ever tasted! It was super refreshing and you could taste how fresh the drink was. On top of that, it was included with your meal! In honor of my dad’s 50th birthday, they gave a complimentary dessert. It was a cheesecake and boy were we stuffed at that point! Overall, a wonderful evening of excellent food and service! The only downside is that it is pricey but you have to treat yourself once in a while, especially for an important occasion like a birthday.

Came here on a Saturday night and it was extremely busy and noisy. We had a larger party and our waiter was great, he was attentive, polite and cheerful. I really like the salad bar here as it has nice salad, cheese and vegetable options and there was also butternut squash soup which was ok but not the best I’ve had. The meat was all very good and it came around often and when we asked for a certain type of meat it was brought out within minutes.

My boyfriend decided to treat me on Christmas Eve, so yay! It was my first time at Fogo, and can’t say I was disappointed. I walked in(we had a reservation) and the service to start with was exceptional. You have a small card that is red on one side and green on the other. and if you want more meat you flip it to the green side. and oh my, they come very quickly! Countless offers to lamb, steak, chicken, and pork.(I highly recommend garlic sirloin, by far the best) There is a huge salad bar and it is exceptional as well. They have soup, rice, normal salad stuff, fruits etc. Our waiter always came back to check on us and that was lovely. We went for lunch and I couldn’t eat for the rest of the day. I believe $ 35 well spent.

I think that I will have to give it another chance during dinner time. I am not sure if it’s because I went during lunch, but the different cuts of meat weren’t my preference. They offered lots of top and bottom sirloin. I would have liked if they offered maybe ribeye, filet and NY strip steak. They offered none of those during my visit, but then again maybe it was because it was lunch time.

I’ve been to a few Brazilian steakhouses east of the Mississippi, including the Fogo de Chao in Atlanta, Texas de Brazil & Rodizio Grill in Columbus, and Gaucho near Detroit. Of all of those restaurants, Fogo de Chao in Atlanta was by and far my favorite despite it also being the most expensive of all the Brazilian steakhouses I’ve been to. On our recent trip to Baltimore and Washington DC, we had the opportunity to dine at this Fogo de Chao in Baltimore. We were part of a large wedding rehearsal dinner that dined on Friday 12÷11÷15. Going in, I had told everyone in my party about how awesome Fogo is, and how it’s my favorite. Boy did this restaurant make me eat my words. The service was atrocious. 5 days later, I’m still having a hard time wrapping my head around how bad the service was. The level of service they provided would be considered bad even at a Pizza Hut staffed entirely by high school students. For the service to be this bad a super-expensive Brazilian steakhouse just blows my mind. It took 30 minutes for the server to come get our drink order. It was another hour before we managed to flag down our server for our second(and last) drink order. The salad bar was well stocked and clean. Then came the meat. Or the lack thereof. Their website( ) advertises that they serve 6 cuts of beef. But here’s how our meat service went(more or less): Server: «Top sirloin?» Server: «Bottom sirloin?» Server: «Parmesan pork?» Server: «Sausage?» Server: «Bottom sirloin?» Server: «Lamb leg?» Me: «Can you guys bring over some beef tenderloin?» Server: «Top sirloin?» Server: «Bottom sirloin?» Server: «Lamb leg?» Server: «Lamb chop?» Server: «Bottom sirloin?» Me: «Hey we requested beef tenderloin a while ago…» Server: «Top sirloin?» Server: «Bottom sirloin?» Server: «Parmesan pork?» Server: «Sausage?» Server: «Bottom sirloin?» Server: «Lamb leg?» Basically, we managed to go through our entire 3 hour meal without being offered beef tenderloin, beef ribeye, and beef ribs at all. Despite asking for them specifically. We also never saw the pork ribs. It goes without saying that we left feeling very disappointed. Oh, and they never offered us the dessert menu either. Baltimore is known for their seafood anyways. I advise everyone to go spend your hard-earned money at a good seafood restaurant instead of blowing it at Fogo de Chao.

When I took my boyfriend here I had very high hopes for his first experience at a Brazilian steakhouse. Fogo did not live up to his — or my – expectations. 1) The service was slow and forgetful. Our table of 4 only got 3 of our drinks, and the 4th drink, a left out Diet Coke, took about 10 minutes to be brought to the table. At the end of the night, I asked for coffee which took another 15. The waitress never even stopped by to ask if we wanted our check; we had to flag down a manager to get us out of there! 2) The misleading website and lack of options. My boyfriend has a restricted diet, and he only eats chicken and fish. The chicken only came around twice(and once wrapped in bacon). The website lead us to believe that there more options. We did not have any of the mango sea bass, shrimp cocktail, or grilled shrimp skewers — they were not at the market table or rotating on the floor! Very disappointing. If we had known this we wouldn’t have eaten here in the first place. In short, the service was lack-luster and the lack of menu options(that were advertised on the site but not available at the restaurant!) will prevent me from going to this place again. Too much money for the experience of being frustrated.

The restaurant was very busy and lively. A very friendly wait staff the first place I visited was the salad from far away it look very appetizing. But after taking the five minutes round trip for my salad it was an okay outcome. I was part of a large party of about 50 people and being the only vegetarian our server told me the chilean seabass as an alternative when the dush arrive at the table it look very pretty and tasted like the seabass was previously frozen. But I will say their tres leche dessert was good it need to be a little sweeter. Qudos to the bartender he made me a green tea shot with Jameson whiskey that drink was helluva strong. All in all nice restaurant for people who loves eat meat from all types of animals…

There is something magical about a churrascaria in general, and Fogo is possibly the best. I’ve been to a few other places here and there, but no one can ever match the service and quality of Fogo. What’s great is the variety. From the very fresh salad bar(less salad, more side dishes), to the array of meats on swords, you really have to try hard to not find something you enjoy. And then, once you find your true love, you can get as much of it as you want(just be gentle to your stomach, you only get one). I’m a huge fan of the fresh asparagus from the ‘buffet.’ It is always perfectly cooked, huge stalks, very crispy, and lightly seasoned to perfection. Accompanying olives, capers, cheeses, cured meats, and other veggie favorites(sun-dried tomatoes, cherry peppers, marinated mushrooms) are a must. Yes, I actually get ‘salad’ before the meat arrives. Then, there are the meats. My personal favorite is… whatever I’m in the mood for that night! From Lombo(parmesan encrusted pork chunks), to bacon-wrapped chicken and filet, to the house specialty picanha, it’s all good. But, it’s to your taste, so munch accordingly. Valet parking is available if you don’t want to try and navigate the downtown parking scene. It costs $ 12 now, which keeps going up, but still(IMHO) affordable given the price of the meal. As of October 2015, the price was $ 53/person, pre-tax, pre-drinks. This isn’t an everyday dining place, though, of course. But it is well worth it when you decide to go. Just be sure and make reservations as it does get crowded some nights.

So totally disappointing. I’ve been to several different Brazilian steakhouses, and they work the same way. You have a card you flip over: green means give me more meat, and red means hold off for now. They’re accompanied by a great salad/greens/etc bar that you help yourself to as accompaniments to your meat. So the theme is the same, they all give you all you can eat food… so let’s just take the quantity of food you get off the rating. Salad Bar: The salad bar was disappointing. There was very little variety, and things were chronically empty because they weren’t refilling. I went on a Sat evening, when it should be best kept for a peak night service. Also totally disappointing that there was almost no fruit there at all. They had very bland flavorless pineapples, some sliced tangerines, and the spinach salad had a few slices of strawberries in it. I know they want to save money on the salad bar, fill us up with that stuff so we eat less meat, but still, put a little value in there and give us some fruit. Meat Variety: There were about 3 cuts of steak — all of which came medium to medium well cooked, but at least it was seasoned generously. Still very disappointing for those of us who prefer steak less done. There were a couple of chicken items, but mass produced chicken is often dry and tasteless. The lamb chops were so over cooked it was very unpleasant to eat. It seems like other reviewers have raved about the filet mignon, but it was not present on this Sat evening. There was a pork rib and a pork chop that were ok. All in all, the meat was edible, but nothing worth writing home or telling any friends about. Service: Extremely slow with regard to anything other than the meat coming around. Wine had to be requested twice. They spilled water all over the next table and didn’t do anything to make up for it. They took like 30 minutes to get us our check at the end of the night. We also called for reservations that afternoon. They told us they’re booked solid until 9:30pm. We walked by to see around 6pm, and the place was empty. They sat us right away. Clearly not worth ever bothering to call and make reservations, but no worries, I likely won’t be going back. Price: I think it was $ 50 or 60 per person for the dinner. I’ve had such better quality meals for my hubbie and I with $ 120. Maybe they had an off night. Maybe they were understaffed that night for the empty restaurant. Maybe they decided not to bring things out because there were so few tables occupied. I don’t know, but I’m thoroughly unimpressed. All around, with regard to food quality, service, and value — not worth it. — — — — — — — — — — — – Explanation of my rating system — 5*: Epitome of something, the best I’ve had, would LOVE to go back 4*: Great food and happy to go back regularly, but not the best of the category 3*: Food is fine. I may spontaneously decide to go there based on convenience. But no need to go back either. 2*: If you insist, I guess I’ll come along. I’ll find something to eat. But I wouldn’t have picked it. 1*: No plans to come back. I’ll try to talk companions out of going.

I’m a guy, and love meat… what’s there not to like?! Finally went to Fogo the night before my fiftieth birthday. My lady was aggravated by what she felt was a mall food court — circus atmosphere, but it was Friday night and the various servers were hustling. It didn’t help that there was a misunderstanding over seafood options NOT being included in the«all you can eat» cornucopia of meats. As for me, I was in culinary heaven. I thought the salad bar was okay, but didn’t really want to focus on that anyway. I really enjoyed all of the beef offerings, thought the ribs were good and of an unexpectedly mild non-bbq taste, found the pork loin slightly dry but decent tasting, and was only disappointed in the bacon wrapped chicken, which was quite dry. Really dug the little rolls that accompany the food, and the side dishes were good other than the rather boring mashed potatoes. Surprisingly bad beer selection, but I guess that’s just not their focus. The way folks were dressed was all over the place, with some folks like me who were celebrating being in business/dress clothes, but at least as many VEY casual– as in shorts, t-shirts, and backwards baseball caps! Will be back at some point, probably«with the guys»! In the meantime, I’ve had my steak fix for quite a while!

I came here with a party of 4 for dinner on Saturday. I had made a reservation for 6:30, but we got here early(around 6) and they still seated us without waiting. This place is an all-you-can-eat style steakhouse. You have a circular card by your plate, with one side red and one side green. If you want servers to come to you with meat, flip the green side up. If you want them to stop, flip the red side up. The meat is delicious, and it’s really satisfying watching the servers slice them off the racks onto your plate. The salad bar has a decent selection of non-meat options as well, though I try to fill my stomach with more meat to get my money’s worth. The service is great — the servers come by often to serve meat if your card is green, and they clear plates quickly as well.
