Service was good, drinks ok, all day happy hour was cool all signature drinks and apps were $ 7. I Had the mixed greens salad, filet mignon with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Salad was good. Steak was way over cooked, sent it back once and returned with another overdone steak which the chef brought to the table himself. I ended up just taking the steak because I didn’t want to wait another 20 minutes. Steak was tough and hard to cut but seasoned well. 3 other ppl in my party ordered the ny strip steak and they were also over cooked and had to send it back. Another friend had the burger and sent it back said it had no seasoning.

I’m embarrassed to say that in my 3? Odd years on earth this was my second time eating steak. For some reason I just always assumed I didn’t like it. A few years back a friend took me to a place I won’t name and I consider the«Friday’s» of steakhouses and ordered a T-Bone steak which was horrible and left me traumatized. And then there was Sullivans lol. Went for a surprise dinner this past Friday and ordered from the restaurant week menu. Started with the lobster and shrimp bisque. At first glance I thought, oh boy I’ve been bamboozled. Thinking I was getting the typical bowl of wish soup. Wishing it was actually shrimp and lobster in it. And to my surprise, it was actually shrimp and lobster in it. Chunks of it too. It was very thick and flavorful and can almost cut your appetite to make you not have room for the main entrée. Now onto the main entrée. The 8oz filet mignon. This is where the phrase«the steak melts in your mouth like butter» was adopted from. It had to be. There are no words to even explain how tender, flavorful and succulent this steak was so ill just move on. Note: add the bourbon pepper sauce for an extra $ 2. I can’t really comment on the horseradish mashed potatoes and the asparagus because the filet mignon overshadowed both. I will say that the potatoes didn’t have that kick that I was expecting it to considering it’s made with horseradish. And I forgot the name of the dessert that I ordered but it was some kind of chocolate cake. I didn’t like that because it tasted like chocolate icing only. For drinks I ordered the Knockout, hands down the best drink I’ve ever had in my life. Shane the waiter service was impeccable. Setting is intimate and dimly lit which let me know my age because my eyes are surely not what they used to be. Cell phone flashlight was definitely needed.

My friend and I went to the Garth Brooks concert(best ever). The evening started at Sullivan’s and it was fabulous. We lucked out because it was Restaurant Week and it was a great price for great food. The service was wonderful and would come here again.

Baltimore Restaurant Week ^_^ I came here on a whelm since I was off for another day from work due to the snow and I’m glad I did. I took advantage of the Baltimore Restaurant Week lunch special and I have to say for $ 20 bucks what a steal! I was amazed how delicious the food was. Of course I had to order a martini! I asked the bartender which one would he prefer and he suggested«Red over Heels» and«Blueberry Lemon Drop». I decided to try the Red over Heels first and I was amazed how delightful it was. I mean I have to say this might be the best martini I had in a VERY long time. After I finished Red over Heels, I decided to try the Blueberry Lemon Drop. I have to say I wasn’t impressed with this selection. For my app I ordered the caesar salad which was simple and delicious with the right amount of caesar dressing. The croutons was homemade which was a plus. They also provide you with warm bread and butter which was great, since it was chilly out. Now for my entrée, I ordered the 8 oz New York Strip(medium) with caramelized onions, garlic mashed potatoes and fresh string beans. I have to say the steak was cook perfectly. I loved the charcoal taste surrounding the steak, it was juicy and pretty big for an 8 oz. The garlic mashed potatoes was your average. The string beans was my least favorite, it was very bland with no seasoning. Overall I really enjoyed my time here at Sullivan’s. My bartender was very attentive, I wish I remembered his name maybe Jordan? I’m not sure. I had a really nice time here.

Two words… food poisoning! Went here on New Year’s Eve and the food was amazingly delicious. My friend and I had the ribeye, mac and cheese, Caesar salad, calamari and cheesecake, and classic margaritas and we had no problems at all. Our husbands ordered the same thing except they added the lump crab meat to top their steaks and they both had 24 hour food poisoning. As good as the food was going in it definitely wasn’t nice watching or smelling it come out of my husband. The service was also extremely slow but it was a busy night so I can’t knock them for that. The hosts and waiters were very friendly and involved. Obviously we will not be going back.

I’m pretty stingy with stars, but this experience deserves every point on every star! Prompt courteous service. Courses all well-paced. Food prepared to near perfection. Appropriate atmosphere with separate dining and bar areas. Wife and I each had the Prix Frixe offering as we were not in the mood for huge portions and the samplings met our tastes. I had the calamari – in the words of today’s modern youth, OMG this was delicious! Sweet, spicy, nice touch of cilantro and bean sprout, and a perfectly cooked fry on the calamari – not even the slightest fishy or chewy. I followed that with a shrimp and lobster bisque – wanted to take a picture of it, but I ate it too quickly, ’nuff said?! Entre was the sliced NY strip. Mid-rare – a touch on the rare side, but that’s the way I like it! Delicious garlic and horseradish mashed potatoes. Again, no pictures. Ate it too fast. Wife had the meatballs to start. Delish! A greens salad and for the entre, a six ounce flilet. She never finishes her steak. There was not even a bite for me when she was done. That usually only happens at home when I cook! Hats off, chefs! So, recap… Fabulous! Great location helps too. Right next to the walk way to the inner harbor. Great place to eat and visit when in town.

I was next door to this steakhouse and decided to give it a try. Very close to the hotel, so getting there was a snap. Waking into this place I knew I was putting out a pretty penny so I was hoping for great service and great food. Couldn’t come to a steakhouse and not try the steak. We started with some cocktails. They had a pineapple infusion with vodka martini style. Was delicious and the vodka wasn’t over powering. I did the pre fixe meal at $ 42 was a steal, I thought. I upgraded to a little bigger filet. The steak was amazing. I was slightly disappointed I asked for medium and I got medium well. The steak lost its juice. The service was very good and out waitress took good care of us.

Cocktails: 3⁄5 Burger: 1⁄5 Management/Owner: 1⁄5 Service: 2⁄5 An easy way to find out whether a burger will be of good quality is to ask whether it is made in house, or shipped in as a pre-made patty. I always ask the wait staff whether a burger was made in house prior to ordering, if they say it was shipped in as a patty then I always pass. I didn’t ask at Sullivan’s because it is a steakhouse and I have never heard of a steakhouse that did not make its own burger in house. As soon as the burger arrived I could tell it was a pre-made patty and it did not taste good at all. I confirmed with my waitress that the patty was pre-made and shipped into the restaurant. I would have returned the burger but service was so slow it would have taken way too long to order and receive another entrée. The waitress was very nice however she had way too many tables under her responsibility. This is a failure of management who obviously needs to hire more waitstaff. Sullivan’s(as a steakhouse) should be truly embarrassed that they do not make their own burger in house. Pre-made patties are for McDonalds, Wendy’s, dive bars and sports bars. Not steakhouses. And this is a big failure of management and the owner. I can’t emphasize enough that you should not pay $ 14 for a burger you could get at a fast food restaurant.

Hosted a private business dinner for about 20 people on a Thursday evening. I had some frantic last minute changes to the room set up and the staff was very accommodating which I appreciated. The passed meatballs and bruschetta were really tasty but I could have passed on the chicken tenders as they were dry and flavorless. I had coordinated a pre-fix menu for the meal and from it I selected the salad, NY strip and crème brulée. First two courses were uninspiring but the dessert was amazing. Like a hush fell over the crowd amazing. Except for the poor souls who ordered the cheesecake, they still had breath. I’d definitely try Sullivan’s again in more relaxed form for me, order from the whole menu and get that delicious crème brulée again!

First time here. Out of towner from phoenix. Came with a group of 3. Place is super cute inside and felt like a non chain restaurant — love that. Here’s the reasons for the two star rating — we had to ask for bread after putting in our order 10 – 15 mins before. They are a high end place, they should be on top of it –all of our food was cold. Steak inside, mashed potatoes all cold –I ordered a medium filet. Seems simple to make. Came out and it was rare, rare, rare. Sent it back no problem — it happens even to the best steakhouses. They returned the same steak and it was still very rare. Ugh ok, sent it back again. Manager brings back the same steak and its still rare. Like really? U can see where i cut into it and was still pure red. I send it back. They bring me a brand new steak and it was the fattiest filet ever. Sent it back and told them to forget it. Sadly, i wont return to this joint

Very disappointed! I was part of a group of 10 who had a reservation on Saturday evening prior to a show at Royal FarmsArena. A phone call had been placed to say that we were running a tad bit late due to traffic. When we arrived we were promptly seated. Things were looking good! We ordered drinks along with appetizers. Although there was some delay in receiving some of the appetizers we were hopeful. As we watched table after table of people who arrived after us get their food our waitress was questioned about our order. Shortly thereafter one of the managers came over and said«we are plating your food right now». About 10 minutes after that someone from our group got up and went to ask where our food was. Then two managers arrived and apologized profusely but said that our ticket had been lost. We had been sitting for almost 90 minutes and all we had was appetizers. I highly doubt that I’ll return. It might be a great place to dine with a smaller group, but I won’t ever find out now. We would have done better at the Chipotle around the corner.

Sullivan’s sent me an email for their Hot Summer Nite event September 4, which was their happy hour priced drinks and bar menu items priced at $ 7 each, live music and the theme of a white night, which encouraged everyone to wear white as a farewell ode to summer. We arrived and took advantage of their valet parking($ 10 until midnight). We entered and headed to the bar area, which was decorated with white garland and paper lanterns. Our server, Juliet, was gracious as she welcomed us. As she proceeded to take our order, she informed us of the $ 7 bar food and drink specials. I asked her to make a suggestion as to which drink we should order and she suggested the Tennessee Mule, which was Jack Daniel’s whiskey, lime juice and ginger beer served over ice in a copper mug. I told her l wasn’t a beer drinker, but she assured me the drink didn’t have a «beer» taste and the ginger would enhance the taste of the drink. Well, when er got our drinks and took a sip, it was all that she said and more. The whiskey and ginger combo was refreshing and the lime accent made for a well rounded drink. We also order cheesesteak egg rolls, saracchi shrimp and the garlic meatballs in a mushroom ragout topped with melted fontina cheese. They were all very good, especially the meatballs. As l don’t have an affinity for mushrooms, l kindly moved them to the side while enjoying the savory ragout and fontina cheese that covered the meatballs. The ambiance was nice and the live guitar player added a nice touch to the evening. The manager, Gregory, who was very pleasant, came around to every table, asked how our service and evening was going and presented us with a voucher for a free appetizer(up to $ 16 value) for us coming out to patronize their establishment. As the happy hour only occurs on Thursdays and Sundays, l enjoyed this end of summer event and will be visiting Sullivan’s again in the future.

Restaurant week lunch review! First of all, 5 stars for value since I do not see how you could have a steak lunch as well as an appetizer for $ 15(well, a bit more since we did add ons). The starter, a shrimp and lobster bisque, was a lovely and delicious bisque that was creamy and not too salty with little chunks of tender seafood. I had the filet mignon and my significant other had what I believe to be the New York strip as well as green beans as our sides. We also had two of the recommended sauces on the side. I did not enjoy the sauces very much since they were a bit too hearty and thick. The steaks were great though, and were very steakhouse-eque. Unforunately, I have had much finer quality steaks recently(think Charleston) so I was not as impressed with the tenderness as I could be. Service was relaxed and casual, but there was a mix-up with the bill when they charged us an additional entire meal. It took them about 10 minutes to get back to us with the correct amount, which would normally not be a problem, but I was on a limited lunch break. Overall a decent experience and a great value.

I went to Sullivan’s for a nice Monday lunch. There were a few large parties but no issue getting a table for two. I ordered the filet mignon, which was perfectly cooked and the mashed potatoes that came with it were rich and flavorful. I ordered it with a side market salad; the side salad was almost a meal on its own but was good! I also had the 50⁄50 drink — iced tea with mint lemonade. Not too sweet but good if you want something refreshing. Overall it was a good pick for steak!

Went here for restaurant week… Sadly enough the service was beyond slow and the place was half full. My steak was undercooked. Way undercooked, but I waited so long to get my food I didn’t care to send it back. Sides were decent, I ate half of my mashed potatoes because the other half was bloody from my steak that was supposed to be medium well. Strangely enough, the highlight of my meal was the shrimp and lobster bisque and the bread. Because the price was low, I really didn’t care to complain, but if it’s a steakhouse it seems like they would be better prepared for restaurant week customers.

First time here during Restaurant Week. Have to say, probably won’t ever come back. The only reasons this place is not getting two stars is because our actual waitress was nice, and the steak was fantastic. We arrive and sit outside after speaking to someone inside and waited a good 25 minutes before seeing anyone else. We were about to get up and walk out when our waitress showed up. Granted, it was a busy night, but that did not start the meal off well. While we waited for our food, we were served our drinks and my friend ordered a sprite. A server rushed by and said we would be served bread while we waited. He came out with a fresh loaf of bread and served it to the table beside us. We NEVER received the bread he spoke of at all. The same server filled my friend’s glass of sprite with WATER. An honest mistake, and easy to fix so we thought nothing of it until it happened AGAIN about 25 minutes later. He tried shrugging it off saying, «I’ll fix this like it never happened.» and of course I retorted«Except it happened twice now.» No apology but at least it didn’t happen again. I ordered a caesar salad with 3 croutons and a pile of lettuce. My friend ordered the bisque soup, which was a bit watery. As we ate, people with bread beside us lit a cigar, which furthered ruined our dining experience as we coughed from the smoke. I strongly urge this place to have a smoking & non smoking section outdoors since this really made a bad dining experience worse. Finally our dinner came, and the steaks were amazing. The sides didn’t have much flavor at all but you could easily forget it with each bite of the steak. The desserts were okay. This place is so expensive and for that kind of dining experience, it is not worth it at all.

PAN-SEAREDSEABASS«HONGKONGSTYLE» Baby Bok Choy & Sherry-Soy Glaze is the best sea bass I have experienced. If you have a chance to be in Baltimore MD, don’t miss this dish and the crab cakes. Crab cake in this area is the best in the country. You won’t find this good of the crab cakes any where else!

I went here for dinner on a weekday night, so it was not very busy(yay, no lines). The venue is nice. They have a bar with live music to the left, and a much more peaceful and traditional dining room. As a person who likes to be able to hear what someone is saying, I would recommend the dining room. Our waitress reminded me of a high school cheerleader with her bubbly personality and an eagerness to please. We indulged in their signature Knockout martini and the Peach Bellini cocktail. The Bellini masks a lot of the alcohol taste, and the pineapple flavor is extremely strong in the Knockout. We started with shrimp&lobster bisque and the Shanghai calamari which was amazing! The bisque is pretty standard. I got the 8 oz filet mignon and my friend got the 12 oz. I got medium well for filet, but I guess medium suits it better. The filet mignon at Fogo de Chao is comparably juicier and tender. The new york strip was pretty good, but it’s interesting that they don’t add any flavoring to their steaks(you can get an additional sauce. I got the bordelaise and was not a fan). Their horseradish mashed potatoes on the other hand were quite epic. The horseradish taste is not overpowering(so it’s like lightly wasabi-tinged potatoes), and the potatoes were very very creamy. Nom nom nom.
