Went to the Baltimore location for a lunch and learn kind of deal! The food was awesome! Great salad, rolls, filet mignon, potatoes, and double chocolate mousse!!! I soul definitely go back for lunch or dinner … Splurge and enjoy yourself!

This was my first time going to Morton’s after having been in the Ruth’s Chris camp for quite awhile. I can’t say I was terribly impressed. We went here mostly for drinks as it was in our hotel, but found the service to be quite slow. This would have been okay if it wasn’t 8:45pm and our party of 6 represented a solid third of the total patronage at this time. We waited 30+ minutes before our server returned to our table to ask what $ 20 drink we wanted next. My co-worker was pretty candid in telling him that keeping us waiting that long wasn’t acceptable, after which point the service picked up and we were being checked on regularly. They even let us get one last call in after last call, so that was nice. However, where I maintain my two-star review is the food. We ordered the filet mignon trio off the«Bar Bites» menu. This is a steakhouse, and one of the more famed ones, so it should have excellent filet, right? Nope. The steaks were awfully dry and lacked a lot of taste. I wouldn’t say it was horrible, but compared to what I’ve gotten at Ruth’s Chris, hell, compared to what I’ve gotten at TGI Friday’s, it was pretty abysmal. I’m just glad I got it during the late reprise of happy hour for $ 8 instead of at regular price of $ 14. So, to sum up: — Service was slow until we very pointedly complained; — Steak at a steakhouse left a lot to be desired; — Drinks averaged $ 20 for the same call brands you can get anywhere for $ 7(Maker’s Mark was $ 16, I believe); that said, great bourbons like Basil Hayden’s were similarly priced, so they’re only fleecing people who aren’t taking advantage of paying the same price for better liquor. All in all, I can’t say I’d be back. Maybe this was just an off night, but for the price, I expect a lot better. I’ll stick with Ruth’s Chris for my carnivorous needs.

This was the second time going to Morton’s. The first was in AC. We went here for our first year anniversary. They really treat you like royalty. Well worth the money and memories.

My fiancé and I decided to celebrate our engagement on our weekend getaway with family at this location in Baltimore. It was a party of 7. We were treated AMAZINGLY! They printed out special menus for us with the date and congratulations for us too keep, took our picture and printed it right there! It was placed in a beautiful black folder with their name on it. The food was delish! I had the 6 oz. Filet with mashed potatoes, the steak was cooked perfectly. For an appetizer we shared the raw dozen oysters and shrimp cocktail. It had to be the freshest seafood I’ve had in a while! For dessert I had the chocolate soufflé… YUMMMM! it was not too sweet, just perfect! All in all… if I ever come to Baltimore again, I’d definitely come back here!

I have been a Mortons fan since 2000. This was the first restaurant I gave 5 stars to. My standard bearer I judge all others by this one restaurant. What the heck happened to my restaurant? Bring it back. This is a poor copy of a Mortons. The last time I ate here was the DC location in 2001 sill exceptional. From 2001 till now is a long time and I know things must and do change but this one. I got to sit down and collect my thoughts to do this right. Let’s start with drinks. The drink menu said professional mixologist which would explain why I paid $ 16 each for a Mojito that was not made right. My wife said add I agreed to minty. She added extra lime to it but it just didn’t do it. I got no buzz from Mojito. I did get a glass of the house Marlo at 9. Should have order that and saved some cash for the bill. I think the drinks were better the last time and way cheaper to get. Appetizers I ordered a shrimp cocktail which came out in this cool dish with dry ice smoking around it. Very Kool and kick ass too. It was spot on. The shrimp were large at $ 21. It was a great show. We ordered off the small restaurant menu which had a three course meal with some add items for additional cost. We did order from the house menu also. I ordered the broccoli(restaurant week item) wife Leonase. Potato basically sautéed potatoes with onions(house menu). No kids menu(Ruth Chris has a kids menu and way cheaper too. Read on folks I got the story) The offered three sliders with cheese and fried. We didn’t know what it cost till our check. Final price $ 28. The burgers $ 15 fries $ 13. My son didn’t like the burgers he started eating my wife steak? My steak was very good as we’re every one but let’s talk about the vegetables. Once upon a time Mortons use to offer huge portions of vegetables I am talking like half a head of broccoli type stuff but the last time it was small but you could still share but for the cost I got was three tops of broccoli. Well dam. I got more vegetables at my local Bob Evens. My wife was hot she said for the cost of this and it was just about 1 potato fixed she. Like I said back in the day the size was such that you could share. Not so much now. Overall my experience left much to be desired. I feel sad to because this was my favorite restaurants now it’s degrade into an also ran. But things do change and may be for the better. They have a lot of work to do. Good luck with that. I won’t be back for a while. Over priced drinks and small sides, with no kids menu go back to the drawing board come up with a new plan.

Service has declined dramatically. Been a frequent diner in the past and I was so disappointed tonight. The server was slow and thy no longer tell you the specials, they just throw you a menu. Gone are the days of personalized service. Morton’s used to bring the steaks to your table to select which steak you wanted, they no longer provide this service. I ordered the 6 oz filet and shrimp. the steak was dry and I could barely chew it. How can a filet mignon be tough and dry? I won’t be retuning. A waste of $ 150. I can make a better steak at home. Not what it used to be.

As much as I love the DC location, I was really disappointed by my experience at this location. It started out very nice. When I made reservations, I let them know that it was my friend’s 30th birthday and requested personalized menus. When we arrived, everyone we encountered greeted her with happy birthday from the hostess to the wait staff to the manager. They even took our picture and gave us a framed copy. VERYNICE! Everything after that was kinda…“meh.“ The Shrimp Alexander appetizer is described as «butterflied shrimp in a [something or another] sauce.» What’s omitted is the fact that there are only four shrimp. I don’t care if they’re butterflied, dragonflied, or super-fly’d…Four shrimp should never cost $ 20. Ever. They didn’t have any taste, even with the sauce. The house salad was good. The bone-in chicago ribeye, not so good. First off, for the price, it was very thin(almost half an inch). Second, I requested medium-rare. I got medium-well or maybe even well done. It was overcooked, but(as with the shrimp), I didn’t want to mess up the evening because it was my date’s birthday. She seemed to be happy. The mac and cheese side was kind of watery. After we got our food, our server disappeared. She was in training, so someone was with her. Both of them vanished. My friend asked for another cocktail, but after twenty minutes we flagged down another waitress and asked to cancel it. The new waitress cleared our table and we asked her to bring out the soufflé we ordered at the beginning of the evening. She came back with our food in a box. We kept waiting for dessert. When she brought out the check, we assumed they canceled the dessert along with the cocktail. Lo and behold, they put the soufflé in the to-go bag. Not sure why exactly. They also charged us for the other drink that we never received. They took off $ 18 for«special occasion» so I just let it go. Lesson learned. I won’t be going back to this location.

This summer, I made reservations at Mortons for my husbands birthday. We had won a gift certificate earlier and thought this would be a nice treat! We were absolutely blown away by the impeccable service and hospitality! Every point of contact, from making the reservation, to checking in, our servers, and the head chef stopping by made us feel so special. Not only that, since I mentioned it was my husbands birthday, they personalized out menu and took a photo of us and printed on the spot to treasure the moment! Talk about going above and beyond for their guests! And I haven’t even mentioned the food yet! Our food and drinks were all delicious, cooked just right and nice portions. Needless to say, we will definitely return and continue sharing this recommendation. Thanks for a great dining experience! Absolutely wonderful!

I came here with a group of friends for my birthday and restaurant week. We had great reception and after a short wait, they had a table for all of us. They printed out special menus for us. I had a birthday drink which extremely strong(not necessarily a bad thing) and passed it around. For the appetizer, I personally found the french onion soup to not be very good. It was way too salty and the bottom was very spongy and thick. The filet mignon was delicious though. It was soft, tender, and perfectly cooked — quite delicious and very memorable. I had mashed potatoes on the side which was also great with a great portion size. They were very creamy and complimented the steak well. For dessert, the cheesecake and chocolate mousse were both also very delicious. Overall I had a great experience. This is a great place to go for restaurant week, but may be a bit pricey otherwise. Service was fantastic.

This was the most disappointing steak I’ve ever had. That said, the service and the sides, and especially the dessert made up for it, but the 2-stars stands. It’s a steak house. A RENOWNED steak house. And they served me a 6 oz filet mignon that was dry, cooked«well» and was flavorless. I ordered it medium rare, the waitress described it back to insure that’s what I wanted, and it is not what I got. I had three bites(one from each side) in hopes it would get better and it never did. We told the waitress and she said she told the manager, and nothing was done or said to us. So I’m done with this place. Not even a frickin apology for a $ 42 steak that I couldn’t eat. Update: Their customer service contacted me shortly after I posted this and sent me a link to fill out a form in which I detailed the situation. 2 months after I filled out that form and I have still heard absolutely nothing. This actually made me want to lower the stars to one, because it’s left a worse taste in my mouth than their steak, but their soufflé is still strong in my memory, and that was great.

Worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant. They did not honor a gift card we had and the manager made a loud scene in front of my wife on our anniversary and my sister in law on her birthday, not to mention the entire restaurant. We called the corporate line and filed a complaint and they wouldn’t do much to make it right. This place does not value their customers and doesn’t realize how to treat a guest. Don’t done here.

We’ve been here several times and loved it every time. It is expensive, but so is Capital Grille, Ruth’s Chris, et al. Good service and correctly made steaks and sides. Good bar selection, good ambience. Note that if you are a Landry club member you may get an invitation to a free wine or bourbon tasting, which includes tasty appetizers

Came here for restaurant week($ 30 dinner) and birthday. They were nice and printed out special menus. French Onion soup was not very good. Too salty and thick. The filet mignon was delicious though. And the mashed potatoes were great with good portion size. Cheesecake and chocolate mousse was delicious. Good place to come for restaurant week but too pricey otherwise.

Very late with this review but better late than never. My husband and I went for the first time for restaurant week and boy am I glad we didn’t go during regular priced times. I got the stuffed shrimp and have seen bigger at less expensive places. I had to mix the shrimp and pasta together with some broccoli I had from home to make it even mediocre the next day for lunch. My husband got and enjoyed the pork chops but how hard is that to make. The sides were less than memorable and the best part of my meal was my lemon soufflé. I shall not be returning.

The Service was excellent and the restaurant is beautiful. It’s a great place to go for a special dinner. I thought the food was definitely good but maybe didn’t quite match my expectations considering the price. They will validate your parking if you park at the Sheraton garage

I am not a steak eater, so I went out on a limb going to Morton’s, and I’m glad I did! I started with the 5 Onion Soup, which was your typical French Onion Soup. For my entrée, I got the stuffed shrimp. These were fantastic! It was like little mini crab cakes on top of large shrimp. SO good! It was also served with a small side of pasta which had capers on it(such a lovely touch!). There was also mashed potatoes for the side, which kind of tasted like it was straight from a box, but were still edible. For dessert I got the double chocolate mousse. It was so rich tasting, but fulfilled all of my chocolate cravings! I felt that the service was pretty good, although our waitress was not super attentive, luckily all of the other people were, so it did not affect my opinion of the restaurant.

We decided to check out Morton’s for restaurant week. Morton’s is located in the Sheraton. Definitely has the old school steak house feel to it. We made a reservation, but our table wasn’t available when we arrived and ended up waiting a few extra minutes. Our server greeted us promptly, but only showed up with 3 menus, not 4. There were 4 of us. The wine and cocktail list is pretty pricey, but that was to be expected here. I ordered the house salad, filet, mashed potatoes, and the crème brûlée. Everything I had was delicious. The house dressing was very good. The salad portion was small, but I assume it’s bc it was restaurant week. The filet was cooked perfectly and had a nice char on the outside of it. The mashed potatoes were buttery and very simple. And the dessert was done perfectly. The service was so-so. The food runners and water refill guy were on point. At one point they brought our dinner, but our server hadn’t cleared our plates so they had to bring the food back to the kitchen until she did. Our server was pretty absent the whole night except for taking our drink order and bringing our bill. I would have expected more for a fine dining restaurant. 5 stars for food, 3 for service.

I came a long time ago, like 6 – 7 years ago, and the food was so bad that I vowed I would not return(except to get some key lime pie which is amazing here). But, a friend had a gift card so we came here to give it another chance. Our steaks were pretty good. We got the ribeye and the cajun ribeye, and they cooked each steak perfectly according to our order. The meat itself was nice and well flavored and I liked how they made it more crusty(last time there was no crispy edges). The sides were pretty good too– creamed corn, brussel sprouts, and scalloped potatoes. Their chopped spinach salad and house salad were decent too. I love their key lime pie. Tart, creamy with a fresh graham crust. This place is not the best steak house in Baltimore(Fleming’s is my favorite, then Capital Grille) but this place was pretty good.

In the Sheraton, we had a gift card, though the hot and cold reviews here and the extremely positive stars on The Capital Grill almost made us change our plans. Thankfully we stayed the course and had a fantastic evening. Kristie from Annapolis was our server and was attentive, fun and oh so helpful! I found the wine by the glass list to be great and offered some realistic pricing from $ 9 -$ 17 a glass. We shared the iceberg bacon blue wedge, sharing it that night at Morton’s and again at home the next night. Having noticed a cheesy toasty dish on nearly ever table we also had the Bacon, Onion Mac & Cheese. Awesome, half of that too was enjoyed encore at home the next night. The Cajun Rib Eye was Amazing and the filet nice but had to return to the kitchen to be prepared as requested. The icing on the cake as it were, was the raspberry soufflé absolutely perfect. 4.5 stars
