I went to this salon this afternoon. I planned on going today because they were offering specials on deep condition, which was what i wanted to have done along with a trim. The trim was $ 12.00 and the deep condition was on sale for $ 10.00. Upon arriving at the salon i showed my coupon to a lady that appeared to be a receptionist/shampoo lady. I told her what i wanted and she said o The issue began after i had my hair shampooed and deep condition i was told that i would be charged more money because my hair was thick and that it needed more conditioner. Mind you this was after the fact, no one mentioned that they were using more product on my hair or an increase in price. That

I only gave it one star in order to do the review!!! I really give it negative stars! This place is horrible! The worst treatment I have EVER received. Super unprofessional! I was greeted upon arrival and was told«I just made it!» Lol like that was some sort of luck or prize for me. I was a walk in client and knew when they took their last customer before hand. I had no idea the hell I would be in store for. The salon décor was nice when I first walked upstairs but was then greeted by food and crumbs all over the seating/waiting area for clients before being seated in a chair. I had to brush them off to prevent sitting on it. I wish I had read the reviews before coming(many bad reviews on Unilocal and other sites) but was referred by a male friend who brings his kids there and was pleased with their work for his kids. I was there for 5 hours!!! Yes five hours on a Sunday! It wasn’t even crowded! I was neglected numerous times by the OWNER! and the other staff members! Great way to treat a first time customer!!! There was a gentleman who was there cleaning up the shop durning my 4th hour there, mind you I was only going for a touch up, roller set that they refused to give me(my hair is a bit long and I guess they were pressed for time!!! The nerve!!) and a blow out that somehow turned into a flatiron!!! But they had no problem taking a $ 95 payment up front before ANY work was done! I sat and listened to the owner gossip about other staff members when she could have been doing my hair instead of running her mouth! For hours!!! She was kind enough to base my scalp and walk away to gossip more. Back to my other thought. The gentlemen that was cleaning up the shop noticed my dryer went off while the entire staff decided to have an office pow wow downstairs! right after I was placed under the dryer. After the dryer went off after sitting under it 30 minutes or so with no rollers just my hair as is!!! Who does that??? Oh that’s right lazy unprofessional folks who rip people off. He was kind enough to go down and let them know I was finished drying. You would think that would have resulted in someone coming back to attended to me right away but since they are extremely unprofessional, they continued their convo for another 10 minutes or so!!! Until they were good and ready to come back up! I had sooo many opportunities to walk out of there! Many times they most likely wouldn’t even have noticed because they were too busy either gossiping or neglecting me to even notice! At the end of it all, the owner was«kind» enough to offer me a 20% discount on my already overpriced visit the next time I come back! LOL!!! For my patience!!! AKA Because I didn’t go off on them in there and would have had the right to do so but didn’t. It will be a cold day in hell before I step foot into that fake DOMINICAN salon ever again! False advertising! They use that to get you in the door! I’m from NEWYORK! Pretty much the home of the Dominican salon! They wouldn’t know a DOMINICAN salon and the proper Dominican techniques if it landed on them and bit them in the a**! There are no Dominican stylist there! I repeat NONE!!! The closest might be the Asian women who answers the phones and does eyebrows… Ladies beware, do not be fooled and ripped off and mistreated like I was. Shame on the owner for running an establishment like this!!!

Very nice facility but it took over 3 hours for a stylist to do my hair. When I was finished under the blow dryer it took more than 30 minutes for someone to approach me and continue with my hair. This really upset me bc no one had the courtesy to inform me that someone will be with me in a little. The one stylist was getting rollers in her hair while i sat there for over 30 minutes. Very unprofessional. The lady who straightened my hair did a pretty good job though. Mixed feelings about this place

The hair stylist was not good at all. I wanted straight and she did bouncy… after getting my hair done, my hair was very dry and puffy… Not happy at all…

The stylist is fantastic! Her name is Sherri. She flat ironed my transitioning hair bone straight. Everyone is extremely friendly. I’m giving 3 stars because the shampoo tech didn’t detangle my hair properly. She pulled through my hair from root to tip.

Shampoo tech wasn’t that great she washed my hair in cold water the whole time… the stylist was awesome!!! She trimmed my hair asked lots of questions about my hair régime. Salon was clean and had on street parking until 4pm. Be prepared to spend total costs wash/blowout/trim $ 62!!!
