This store only has wools, tweeds, and upholstery fabrics. Mostly all polyester fabrics. It’s very disarrayed and the owner says he has no good sources of fabric anymore and all he has is «junk.» Would not recommend.

Fairly certain this place is closed. Try A Fabric Place(6324 Falls Rd).

I love this place! Was impressed by the expansive and variety of fabrics. It’s on two floors and if you leave without something or at least wanting something it’s your own fault. I will be back.

I was surprised to hear about a fabric store in Baltimore. I thought I knew them all! Guss Woolens is located near the old city garment district. It moved from Baltimore St over to Park — still on the west side. The selection is mainly men’s fabrics. Wools, crepes and a few shirtings. The GREAT value they provide is a deep and long table full of gorgeous remnants that are value priced. The prices run about $ 5 to $ 7 a yard in skirt lengths. There are usually several of the one piece, so you can get enough to put together a suit with planning. The owners were energetic and helpful and there was several people in the store during my Saturday visit. I will definitely be going back again. Be sure to check out the fantastic old wood stove on the second floor. It’s beautiful and stamped with a local Baltimore company. Call ahead for openings. They keep banker’s hours!
