Called this place to ask a simple question regarding Record Store Day on April 18. Got a snide, sarcastic answer from whoever answered the phone. Won’t be spending any of my money here… ever. Oh, and maybe they should be removed from the Record Store Day website since apparently they’ve never heard of it.

This place is a confusing jumbled mess. I couldn’t even see anywhere to even start looking

I’ve been there a few times, but with a lot of gaps in between and unfortunately, Dimensions has the potential to be one of the best record shops in Baltimore, but it fails due to price gouging and lack of quality vinyl over mass quantity of Poor/Fair condition records. I will say I have picked up a few good ones here I haven’t found elsewhere and I do enjoy digging through a lot of obscure singles and looking them up to see if it’s something worth checking out. The owner appears to know a lot of about music which is good. There are much better shops to check out though around the greater Baltimore area so I’d only check this place out if you really have extra time, like some serious digging and aren’t too budget conscious.

Ok spot, GREAT selection. Nothing is priced and when you ask, everything is $ 10, $ 20 or more. It seems like the guy at the counter is just guessing. Prices not in line with competitors. I’ve been DJing vinyl for over a decade, collecting vinyl for 30. I’ll take day trips to Philly, NYC, DC&VA for vinyl to fill my record bag. I’ve only stopped here a few times since Music Liberated closed and I live 2 miles away. Each time I find a record or two, leave paying way too much for too little. Last time I stopped by, I browsed and instead of buying at the store, when I found what I wanted, I checked eBay, bought the same records, sealed/new for ¼−½ the price(shipped)… I HATE doing that. I’d rather support my local record shop, but… If you’re looking for something specific, need it today and you don’t mind paying quite a bit too much, this is a good spot. Otherwise, I recommend Trax on Wax, Soundgarden, TrueVine or Record & Tape Traders.

Before moving out of the state of Maryland, I was a frequent customer and I could definitely find lots of rare items. I agree with a previous reviewer who mentioned that the prices range from ’ fair to «I Can’t Believe They’re Charging This Much For This Record!!» ‘, but one can understand especially when you’re able to find gems that could only be imagined. Customer Service here is awesome! No other word to describe it! The only advice I can give to current and future customers is to be sure you check the vinyl. Always make sure it’s the correct album in the jacket. A couple of times I have been so wrapped up in excitement and I didn’t check the vinyl… got home to play it… and realized it was the wrong album. HAPPYSHOPPING!

If you are a music lover then you need to go check this place out. With the way independent record stores are falling by the wayside to the corporations it’s nice to see stores like this still thriving. They have a wide variety of music genres. Every time I go I end up spending at least an hour in their perusing through their stacks. When I’m looking for a particular artist, I know I can find it there. They’ve even surprised me on a few occasions with something I never thought I would find in there.

Great independent record store! We didn’t look for anything too obscure, but they seem to have a decent selection of music, especially hiphop. The entire 2nd floor is vinyl. Very friendly, knowledgable, helpful staff.
