Food is very good and no complain about it. However, costumer service here is very very rude, especially over the phone. They hang up before you could confirm your order and you ask questions, they yell at you and they hang up the phone.

The only thing worse than eating something terribly unhealthy, is eating something terribly unhealthy that doesn’t even taste good. If it’s going to be salty and crispy and deep-fried, at least let it be worth the spike in blood sugar! Hip Hop is worth it, and a couple of times a year I give in. For under 10 dollars, you can easily feed two people with an order of wings or catfish nuggets, both of which are absolutely packed with tiny crispy nooks and crannies. Get a side of their fried okra and /or mushrooms, both of which are spectacular. The batter is perfectly seasoned, pleasantly salty and piping hot. Their fish filets are good, too, but not as easy to eat neatly. The only thing I’d avoid are the shrimp(tiny and tasteless) and the chicken nuggets(highly processed meat-like substance.) I also tend to throw out the fries and white bread that come with every order, though I never remember to ask them to leave them out. I do, however, remember to ask for extra hot sauce, as it’s exactly the right level of heat to eat with every bite. The shop isn’t much to look at: it’s dingy, dazzlingly flourescent and full of vacantly-staring customers waiting for their food. However, this gives me the opportunity to rave about their packing skills. I live about 10 minutes from the shop, and those 10 minutes are crucial in the life of a fried dinner, as anyone who’s ever had Five Guys takeout can attest: yum, a bag full of grease! Somehow, the young wizards at Hip Hop keep your food steaming hot without losing any of its crispy edges. The okra, for instance, is wrapped in deli tissue inside a cardboard boat, topped with napkins and placed inside a paper bag. I don’t know how, but somehow all of those components conspire to deliver a perfectly crunchy meal that will still burn your mouth after you get home, put your things down, let the dog out, set the table and unpack the food. It’s about time modern science delivered something useful, right?

You like fried chicken and fish? Look no further than Hip-Hop. Always made fresh to order and very tasty. Anything fried you can want it should be here. And the half and half is great. I will make a pit stop just for the half and half a many of night. The service is always good and you never have to wait to long. If you have a big order, I’d suggest you give a call to cut you wait time.

Their chicken is good. However, the last batch I got from them apparently wasn’t cleaned properly. Too many feathers.

Rick James once said«Cocaine is a helluva drug.» well Hip Hop Chicken food is a damn good drug. I always stop in and get me some chicken whenever I have a craving for it. If you want good chicken with some good seasoning then this is the place for you and they are not that expensive. I really miss Cluck-U-Chicken they had good chicken too.

The name of this place needs to be changed from HHF&C to HHF&C with seasoned crack on it. It is a joke around Baltimore to call chicken from HIPHOP Fried Crack. Yes the savory seasoning they use it the best stuff ever. Do yourself a favor and ask for extra seasoning on your chicken, shrimp, and/or fish and fries. Just as the name says Fish and Chicken, though the majority is fried so if fried is not your thing they stay away. For the rest of us… Damn… Writing this review I am thinking I will most likely have some wings, shrimp, catfish, and or whiting in my future at some point this week. Bottom line: there are 5 stars there for a reason. Nuff Said. The chicken is cooked to crispy perfection and the shrimp and fish is so well seasoned and flavored that you will be back sooner than you think.

I love going to Hip Hop Chicken location on route forty. The chicken is awesome we ordered 50 wings with fries OMG. I don’t know WHAT they sprinkle this chicken with, but it has to be illegal. Crispy, not greasy, PIPINGHOT, and the seasoning! Make sure you ask for extra! Fries are perfectly crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside. I’ve ordered from this location on several occasions. The chicken has always been delicious the fries is to die for. Don’t let your budget stop you from visiting Hip Hop these people know their chicken! Next time I will try the whiting I heard it was as good as there chicken and fries.

After MONTHS of hearing about how I HAD to go to Hip Hop Chicken while I was staying in the DMV, I FINALLY got the chance to go during a visit to Baltimore last week. A friend and I ordered the 10 wings with fries, and OMG. I don’t know WHAT they sprinkle this chicken with, but it has to be illegal. Crispy, not greasy, PIPINGHOT, and the seasoning! Make sure you ask for extra! Fries are perfectly crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside. I ordered a half and half and it was DELICIOUS, a perfect accompaniment to the meal. Go! Don’t let the low budget outside or inside décor fool you, these people know their chicken! Next time I will try the whiting.

The boyfriend and I were on the way to Lowe’s today for home improvement stuff, but as usual we got pretty hungry along the way — go figure. We’d passed by HHF&C a thousand times before, and we’d always commented on the name — it seems like a really stupid name for a business — but this time, we decided that fried chicken sounded like a good idea. So we stopped. We were overwhelmed the second we walked in and saw the menu. The choices! When they say fish and chicken, they are not kidding — there are a LOT of options for you to select from. I chose the 2-piece chicken breast meal(it comes with fries and coleslaw) and a 20-ounce half and half, while the Love of My Life chose a modest 3-wing and fries meal. The staff was so pleasant and nice to us that they threw in an extra serving of coleslaw for free. I think they were happy to see us sit down in there and enjoy it. That’s one thing about this place — a lot of traffic, but everyone’s carrying it out. I opened my meal box to see two HUGE, ginormous pieces of chicken breast and a mountain of fries. Holy crap. How am I going to eat all this? In addition, there were two slices of white bread poking out from underneath. Oh, wow. I take a bite of the chicken breast. Good God. It’s salty, crispy, NOT greasy. The meat is tender and juicy. This is heaven in a styrofoam box. The fries are crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside. Dipped in their thick hot sauce, it’s insanely delicious. The half and half is incredibly sweet, a perfect compliment to the salt on the chicken and fries. Finally, the coleslaw. If this slaw is as I think it is, this is an automatic five-star rating, no question. Chomp. Oh, my Lord, yes. Sweet dressing, crispy cabbage pieces. I don’t even need to question how my boyfriend’s liking his meal — this is five stars. Period. It doesn’t matter what he says. :D He liked his meal, as well, though he did make mention that the chicken was a bit saltier than he’d expected. He didn’t like the coleslaw much, but that’s okay — more for me. The shock was the price — a mere eleven dollars for two meals. Two huge, ginormous, GARGANTUAN meals! Epic, epic, epic, EPICWIN. We noticed the traffic coming in and out of there while eating — this place never. slows. down. Ever. There was a lull that lasted for maybe five minutes before the insanity of yet more crowds came in. And it wasn’t even peak dinner hours. I can’t imagine what this place is like between 6 and 8pm on a weekend. I have eaten my LAST chicken piece from Royal Farms. Royal Farms can’t even compare to the glory that is this meat. I intend to come back and try their catfish nuggets, as well. These five stars are WELLDESERVED. Fish and chicken goodness await you. Go. Go NOW. Thank me later.
