All you can eat. Oysters rule. Steamed shrimp and other salad stuff are Da Bomb. Hibachi is also excellent. Be sure to tip a buck. Sushi is also excellent. Just go here to pig out. Would definitely both repeat and recommend.

This place keeps consistently getting better every time I go. I remember coming here the first time and absolutely hating it but I dropped by here yesterday out of pure hunger because I hadn’t had anything all day and I never seen a buffet(priced at $ 18.99 per person) with such fresh seafood. I went crazy over their scallop shells, their crabs, their shrimp, their cod, and they had a full on dessert bar stocked with cheesecake, fruit, and a fondue machine and a full sushi bar. What more can a girl ask for? You can tell that there was a lot of korean and chinese influence to these foods which is why it’s ironic that it’s called tokyo seafood buffet because their only japanese inspiration was their suishi bar. But i’m not complaining, because their food held the best of these countries all in one buffet. It was all super fresh, super well cooked, and it was surprisingly was not salty at all, which tends to be my main complaint when I eat seafood. This is a great place to go crazy with food that will fill you up with good quality food and you will leave with the best of both worlds: salty and sweet. The waitresses were also super attentive in filling up our waters and taking away our empty plates so that they didn’t stack up. I wouldn’t mind coming back here on my next cheat day to eat some good quality food for a reaally great price.

Tokyo Seafood and Buffet– Terrible!!! Went to the dinner buffet. No prices are posted and the cashiers at pre pay check in are rude and abrupt. I had a Val pak online coupon, that the woman cashier made a big deal over. She Claimed it had to be printed out, nothing stated to that effect on coupon. The meal cost $ 44 plus tax and tip for 2 seniors. Not worth it! Food quality very poor. There were 5 soups-a lobster bisque that tasted like whipped sour cream, a clear fake crab soup that looked like mucous, a disgusting hot and sour soup, some kind of coconut and tapioca soup, and vile New England clam chowder. No won ton or egg drop soups! The meat items were dry and stringy, spare ribs inedible although they looked delicious. sushi fell apart, crabs were all female with orange stuff inside(?), shrimp items not deveined, crab items either fake crab or dried up whatever, oysters had a sign that they had worms which are harmless if eaten and if you got worms NOREFUNDS would be granted(very appetizing), the cakes for desert were tasteless and dried up. About the only palatable items were the corn bread and mashed potatoes and who pays that kind of money for that? And, why go to a Chinese buffet for American food? I will NOT return as the food quality is poor, and the cost is way way too high.

Just ate with my family today. This Asian manager named Paul is very rude. My husband asked him where’s the waitress so he can tell her what soda to order. He responded angrily that waitress is coming and even tell my American husband if he understood. Then this manager went to the kitchen and shouting angrily to those waitresses to come out and start serving customers. He’s very disrespectful to his staff. He lacks managerial skills and very prejudice. I feel bad to the only waitress on the floor for being maltreated like that. They need to investigate this place for force labor and unfair practices for these Chinese waitresses who cannot hardly talk English or even understand the language. The food is mediocre and very expensive for lunch. We paid $ 38.00 for 3 people. Poor service… Paul the Asian manager need to be fired. An Asian bigot indeed.

This restaurant is in Security Mall, near Macy’s. We had another delicious lunch at this restaurant! I come here often and am never disappointed. The selection is phenomenal and the price is even better! However, it’s higher on Sunday($ 17.99) than any other day. Lunch on Saturday is $ 11.99. Hibachi grill, sushi bar, salad bar, dessert bar with chocolate fountain and salad bar. Soups, such as, hot and sour, egg drop, cream of crab. Hot foods, to name a few, duck, BBQ ribs, short ribs, various shrimp, fish, crabs, Mac n cheese, spinach, green beans… whew! Choices are astounding. We come often and bring friends, who end up returning with other friends. My visiting family says this is the best buffet they’ve ever patronized, and always want to go back when in town. We’ll be back!(In my Terminator voice)

There’s an impressive array of food choices at this well-kept and clean buffet. Most of these buffet places are a crazy mess and make you question food safety. My husband likes them still, so I go along. But this place was not like that at all. Very well organized, clean plates, no staff walking around mopping everything up with the same disgusting looking rag. I know that’s a pretty low bar to set for being happy about a restaurant, but it made a great first impression. Ok… the food was pretty decent. There were plenty of options, and we both found plenty of items to make us happy. It’s really mostly Chinese food though, not Japanese. So if you’re really looking for Japanese options, you would be disappointed here. The worst thing about this place was that it was pretty hard to find. For some reason, the map using the address took us inside the mall. And their own website says that it’s next to Macy’s. It is detached from the shopping mall, in a separate building that’s actually not next to Macy’s. Lol. The husband also thought it was rather expensive for a Chinese buffet place. But we’ll probably be back here at some point. Not often. — — — — — — — — — — — – Explanation of my rating system — 5*: Epitome of something, the best I’ve had, would LOVE to go back 4*: Great food and happy to go back regularly, but not the best of the category 3*: Food is fine. I may spontaneously decide to go there based on convenience. But no need to go back either. 2*: If you insist, I guess I’ll come along. I’ll find something to eat. But I wouldn’t have picked it. 1*: No plans to come back. I’ll try to talk companions out of going.

The food is really good but kind of expensive. Carry out is even more expensive. They charge $ 3 each for the bit size crab cakes. The older Asian guy that works the front counter/register is a butthole, just plain rude and not welcoming at all. Every time I leave, I say I’m never coming back but the coconut shrimp, and the Asian rib tip things keep me coming back.

This is the place to go if you LOVE Chinese food like I do!!! The food is always good. The dinner buffet is absolutely the best !!! The only reason I didn’t give them a 5 star rating is because the service needs to be improved. The servers get bad attitudes sometimes. The restrooms are always clean and smell good. The restaurant is clean and has a great atmosphere. They have televisions in two places, which is great if you love watching sports on Sundays. I recommend this place all the time.

I just didn’t wanna make a scene so I left. but do not go there… so disappointed… actually beyond disappointed i have been coming here for couple of years and as of lot of people have said. this place has gotten so… yucky since opening. if I were able to give no star I would but I have to give at least 1 star I guess… so mad…

Me and my family have been coming here for many years now and I can confidently say that Tokyo Seafood Buffet is consistently good, which, if you have some experience with Chinese buffets kind of qualifies a place to be excellent. 30+ years of eating Chinese buffets around the DMV and elsewhere, I’ve seen just about every good Chinese buffet eventually raise prices, raise prices, lower quality, only to unsurprisingly close and be forgotten. We all know the ones that seem to always stay in business, defying every law of the universe, but I’m convinced that those fill a very particular niche: crappy American Chinese junk food. That’s not to say that Tokyo Seafood Buffet doesn’t excel in those food categories. In fact, they do, but do it better. Better quality ingredients, better offerings, better tasting food, superb variety, real seafood that isn’t mostly fake crabmeat and actually worth your time picking at to eat. And the korean short ribs. I crave that stuff. At TSB, they actually serve properly made Chinese staples like stir-fried Chinese spinach, roast duck, beef brisket with tendon, which is why if you look around you see so many Asian diners. And they are consistent. No food poisonings, prices and value remain excellent, and the food quality has remained the same, which is usually where you see most and almost eventually all Chinese buffets lose it first(after raising prices of course). Table service is mostly attentive and efficient, dining and food areas have always been very clean. I’ve never experienced anything here that even remotely made me question the cleanliness of the food. So why not 5 stars? Well it’s certainly not the best Chinese food you can get around here, but for the price you really can’t beat the variety and value.

The food has progressively gotten worse since it’s first opening. Hard to call a place a seafood buffet and the entire buffet is mainly chicken products. They didn’t have any crabs and charged the same price as with them. The food was just ok. I will not be returning to this place. There are other Chinese buffets that change less and have better quality of food. Everyone in my party ran to the bathroom as soon as we got home.

My stomach felt really weird after eating there and it doesn’t happen often with me! On top of that they blasted the worst selection of the 90s Chinese karaōke breakup songs so loud for this Chinese New Year event they were running I couldn’t hear my family next to me and I felt deaf for the rest of the night… Will not go back again! Food is like that of a typical Chinese buffet, when their price is definitely higher than average. Their American food selection is terrible! Their salmon tasted like it was made yesterday, and I bet Walmart’s frozen pizza tastes better than theirs. My little sister, who only goes for pizza and typical American food at a Chinese buffet, could not stomach their food, and she’d even do McDonald’s! How could they mess up things when fast food restaurants can get them right? None of their food is memorable in the way that made me want to go back for seconds. Crab cake was dry and without much crab meat. Oysters looked not fresh. Sushi felt like they were made yesterday, with cold, hard rice. Also I couldn’t quite tell what sort of mysterious mush they put on the sushi, and no sashimi or nigiri at all. The short ribs were really hard to chew, and the Chinese food items got all of their«taste» from being drenched in oil and msg. The fat and balding floor manager is among the rudest people I’ve encountered. He acted like he owns the place but probably not because he also rang the cash register; was probably having a mid-life crisis and threaten by the fact that as a girl standing at 5’7″ I could see the top of his head.(he also couldn’t tie a tie properly as it was way too short on him.) I went over to the control board to ask someone to turn the music down because my family was going deaf, and he told me to not touch the board like he’s guarding his life(or remaining hair on his head), despite of me having no intention to touch it. He talked down to me so much, telling me I needed to turn around and leave before he can adjust the volume, like that was some billion dollar secret and I’m some 3 year old child who just pulled off his remaining hair… I simply could not grasp that, as a paying customer, why I should leave when a request as simple as turning down the howling music hasn’t been met. At the end when I left he turned the music down maybe not even half a decibel. I felt so ill-treated, I was even tempted to «accidentally» dump some of their overly bland soup on him. Horrid horrid experience.

Ummm nothing special about a buffet. But I did feel it was overpriced. $ 45 will get u two meals and two sodas on a Fri. The crabs had absolutely NO flavor. The fried rice was nasty. I mean how do u mess that up. They have a chocolate fountain, but I saw too many kids unsupervised and double dipping. The ribs are good and the bourbon chicken. Other than that I was not impressed and will not return. A waste of money.

It is quite difficult for a Chinese-run buffet to impress me, but it did. Please note that I have adjusted the star system for geographic location — this place probably would not survive in New York City. Food: the whole crab station was great — I probably had eight myself. There was an impressive array of fruit, vegetables, cooked fish et al. The ice cream was unimpressive and needed improvement. Service: quite responsive with the tea-pouring! Décor: relatively clean, but it was quite dark during lunchtime… makes me wonder what they are hiding. This place was difficult to find — look for Macy’s! GPS does NOT lead you directly here.

I came here with a bunch of co-workers for our weekly Friday lunch. We came just before noon, right before it got crowded, so I’m guessing people like this place. The buffet is mostly a lot of greasy Asian food and is very heavy on the fried stuff. Fried wonton cheese, fried dumplings, fried spring rolls, fried shrimp, fried whatever. It’s good if you’re interested in getting a lot of greasy Asian food and you want multiple plates of it, but otherwise it didn’t really impress me. The buffet itself is very big, but again I don’t feel like there is much variety. The sushi section just seems like variations off of the California and Philly rolls and the people behind the sushi bar were a bit rude. The salad bar was lacking in quality and the desserts were lackluster. I did like the cups of ice cream they had though. They had orange ice cream, which is one of my favorites. So that’s really the big plus in this place. I did not sample the bathrooms based on the Unilocal reviews. I did feel like the floors and tables were a bit dirty and not very clean though.

This place is a 3.5 but I’m rounding down for inconsistency. It has a good selection, so there is something for everyone, but quality of the food is inconsistent. Some items were really good but there were also items that were not so good. The seating and buffet line does look more upscale than the typical Asian buffets, which is good because this place markets itself as such. I went with a large party(+10) for dinner and the restaurant has a lot of seating to accommodate large parties. Tip was included already when we paid(they do this for large groups). When they seat you, they want you to show them the receipt so they know how many people are in the party and who ordered a beverage. They have a small sushi bar but if you’re a sushi noob like me, not all of the rolls were labeled so I just stuck with the familiar ones. They didn’t do a good job of keeping the rolls stocked, usually when I went up there most of the plates were empty or there’d be 1 – 2 pieces left. They have raw oysters which were fresh(not fishy at all). They also had shrimp and crabs, if you don’t mind getting your hands dirty and peeling them. The crabs are on the small side. They have salmon and other fish dishes, rice, lomein, a row of soups, American food(pizza, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, fried chicken, French fries, etc.), and other typical Asian dishes like General Tso’s chicken, beef and broccoli, chicken and mushrooms, teriyaki chicken kebab(dry), and sweet and sour chicken. I really liked the cheese rangoons(my favorite!), fried rice, coral scallops, bourbon chicken, and Korean spare ribs(nice and tender). While I liked the coconut shrimp, not all of the shrimps were cleaned thoroughly. They have a whole station dedicated to fried foods(fried oysters, fried chicken, French fries, fried fish, Chinese doughnuts, frog legs). My doughnut wasn’t fresh so I didn’t like it. They also have a couple dim sum options in the corner by the hibachi grill, but they weren’t that good — on the dry side and they looked like they had been sitting there all day. The hibachi grill — amazing! You grab a plate, fill it with whatever you want(chicken, beef, shrimp, scallops, egg, rice, noodles, veggies) and they’ll cook it for you on the spot. The scallops are chopped up super tiny, though. Great dessert selection — chocolate cake, carrot cake, cheesecake, fruits, sesame balls, a chocolate fountain, banana pudding, some jello type thing, cookies, egg tarts(these are by the dim sum, but I would skip them because they were dry and overcooked), and a freezer full of ice cream(individual serving cups of chocolate, vanilla, and sherbet, plus ice cream sandwiches and Popsicles). Service was so-so. They are attentive when you first get seated and get your drink orders. They are also quick to clear away your finished plates. However, if you want a refill for your drinks we had to wave them down(and the place wasn’t even that crowded). Overall, I had a good experience here, there’s a good variety, it lives up to the name, and I would go back due the hibachi grill alone.

Pretty good for an all you can eat buffet. Only complaint, whole crabs were on the tiny side, therefore not much meat to be had.

This is the buffet that I go to when I am at my Clarksville, MD home. It’s the best one around that area. I eat here because I like their large buffet selection and I love their hibachi grill. The hibachi grill is interactive and entertaining, to tell you the truth.(But I’m odd like that) The buffet includes a sushi selection which I call fake sushi. Even though it’s not authentic and fresh sushi it tastes decent. It’s a good try at sushi. They also offer a oyster selection during dinner and weekends. The oysters are pretty good. It’s clear they are not fresh out of the sea, but they are good for a Buffet oyster selection. I like to eat here with my family cause we like to eat a lot together. #fatstatus with my family… ***They offer a military discount, but only for active military members.

This is an awesome buffet. The most positive things about this place is the taste of the food and the constant sense of abundance. I never feel like there isn’t enough of something there. They are never lacking things I want. Especially, the oysters! They have soo many and the buffet seems to do a good job keeping them stocked. My favorites: 1) I love their coconut shrimp– this is a must try. 2) They also have crawfish, which is pretty good. 3) I always get their banana cake. I crave this all the time! It has a delicious cream on top of a moist banana cake. 4) oysters! Just squeeze some lemons and a dash of cocktail sauce. I eat like two dozen oysters each time I go. Cold, tasty, and fresh. 5) I always love to get hibachi here. They have a wide range of toppings you can choose. They have noodles, eggs, shrimp on skewers, chicken, beef, scallops, bean sprouts, onions, mushrooms, and many more vegetables. All you have to do is fill your plate with everything you want. Then, you put the plate on the counter. The chef will cook the hibachi for you with a delicious sauce. You just get other stuff and you hibachi will be ready for you. Just pick it up and enjoy the yumminess. Things to try, but are not that great– 1) They have crabs. The crabs are okay, but it does not have enough meat in them and the crabs do not feel fresh, but you have to try them at a seafood buffet. Right? 2) sushi. It’s okay. Ive definitely had better sushi at buffets(sushi is my favorite thing though, so it’s pretty disappointing, but I guess all the other delicious food makes up for it) Also great price even during dinner! It is very cheap for a great buffet.
