Jackie’s Place is our new go-​to last minute soul food spot. Everything we’ve had has been pretty great. Ribs are awesome, fish is seasoned well and tasty, macaroni and cheese is pretty good (could be a bit cheesier though) and I love their potato salad. Side note: I’m currently in the middle of placing my order and they are out of potato salad… yes it’s the end of the day, but as a pregnant woman in her 9th month, I’m a bit heart broken. Anyhoo, back to the review… the fried chicken is good, but not great. I only deducted a star because they should offer homemade rolls/​biscuits with a meal, the service isn’t fast (but you can’t rush greatness) and a selfish reason… they tend to be closed whenever I’m craving soul food.
