Yep, it was only a matter of time before this establishment went to restaurant heaven(or…) Mismanagement, inconsistent food quality, and the staff’s overall bad attitudes were sure to lead to an imminent demise. Third restaurant in that location to croak within a short span of ten years.

I made a reservation for 10 people at Phaze 10 a month before our dinner; yet when we arrived, we were not greeted by anyone for 15 minutes, and we had to wait 30 minutes before we were seated. Only six members of our group came, but that was only the beginning of our disappointment with our experience. Five of us ordered drinks that were«two for one»; however we never got our second drink because… honestly, I don’t know why we didn’t get them, we certainly ordered them! Everyone enjoyed their meal, especially the«too sweet/cake like un-cornbread», that was served. After our meal, several of us ordered desert, two of us bread pudding(I’ve not seen bread pudding look that way, but it was okay). One of the owners was present(he stopped by our table to see if things were going well), and he was told that the bread pudding was supposed to be served with ice cream. He said that it «was not», but was shown the restaurant’s menu on the phone of one of the diners, and he had to recant. He retreated to the kitchen, and returned to sadly exclaim«the kitchen was out of ice cream»(Why weren’t we told that when the order was placed?). An offer was made to substitute the ice cream with a glass of wine or another drink(wait a minute, where was the second two for one drink anyway?), but his offer was declined. He did ask what he could do to rectify the situation? But when he received the answer to make a reduction in the bill,(after all it was not just the ice cream that was absent), he disappeared and was not seen for the rest of our meal. Phaze10 has a two hour dinning limit, which is laughingly ironic because their service is unreasonably slow. Customers have a right to expect excellent customer service, and when they don’t receive it, their only recourse is to complain via a site like this. I have taught customer service skills and have worked in the service industry. The practices I witnessed on Dec. 18 would not be allowed in companies whose reputation relies on their customers. In my opinion, excellent customer service is not Phaze10’s first priority. I say this because that starts with greeting guest upon arrival,(and providing a place for coats beside on the back of their chair). I will not return to Phaze10, nor will I recommend it.

Nice restaurant & bar but the food is not great. I ordered Shrimp and Grits it was truly not what I expected. The grits taste like instant grits they were hard and uncooked tasting. The shrimp were just steamed not marinated in anything or no seasoning. Then it was topped off with this weak gravy with sprinkles of cheese that didn’t even support the grits. Bad choice!!! The Old Bay wing were good

Phaze 10 is a great date spot. The food and entertainment were top notch. My wife had the gumbo while I indulged on the catfish and collard greens. The only drawback was the service. Our waitress was very friendly but obviously inexperienced. As an example we asked her for some hot sauce, that never came. Additionally it took a while to get our check. Lastly, she delivered a plate of food to another table while holding our dirty plates — rookie move. All in all, this is a good spot that with some tweaks can be exceptional.

Went on a Sunday with my cousin and was disappointed. We ordered the shrimp and grits and stated we didn’t want the green peppers but the onions. We were told that the onions and peppers came together so we couldn’t get onions because«they are all the way downstairs.» Wait… whaaa? how do you tell a costumer ‘we have onions but we don’t want to get them?’ Of course I state this doesn’t make sense especially since the grits are 20 bucks! She goes in the back and comes back and says the chef will do the yellow onions but not the red onions(I’m assuming because those were downstairs). The cornbread was great. Everything else after that ordering experience left a bad taste. The worst part is that we were the only ones there which should’ve made them more apt to ensuring we had a great dining experience. I’ve gotten better service at Chick-Fil-A for chesper

I’ll start by saying I definitely see why this place has three stars. So I brought a Groupon for here a while back for brunch and it was about to expire so we finally made our way. We went on Sunday, they opened at 11 we got there about 11:15 mainly because I didn’t want it to be crowded because I saw the reviews said service was pretty slow here. I’ll just say no matter how empty the restaurant is the service is going to be slow. We were literally the first table there. I unfortunately decided to do the unlimited mimosas for $ 18 and that ended up being a headache on its own. Got one before the meal. After we ordered we didn’t see the server again until he brought the food, at which time I got my second. I received a third after finished my meal. Then I told him to put one more in and bring the check. So I definitely wouldn’t recommend the unlimited mimosas because trust me it will be a fight to feel like you are getting your money’s worth. Now for the food. I got the steak and eggs. The presentation was very nice and the food tasted pretty good. The cornbread was excellent! However, unfortunately for me the food doesn’t overshadow the slow service for which reason I would probably pass on another visit. I recommend they get a separate manager for the daytime restaurant from the evening nightclub manager because the two are completely different and they clearly don’t know how to properly train for a pleasant restaurant experience.

Ohh Phaze 10… I’ve been waiting for the perfect day to visit this restaurant but sadly I wasn’t impressed. My boyfriend took me here for date night recently and I was actually looking forward to it. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as expected. The first thing we ordered were drinks. I ordered the Phaze 10 and my boyfriend ordered the Hennessy cocktail. His drink was watered down and mines tasted like a bag of skittles. For dinner, I ordered shrimp and grits and he ordered the burger. While waiting for our meal we were graced with their house cornbread which was actually pretty. By this time I just knew that our entrees were going to be great. When I got my shrimp and grits I dug right in but it was not good at ALL. The grits were soggy and tasteless and the shrimp sauce tasted as if it were heated in the microwave. Because they expected me to pay $ 19.50 for that sad excuse for shrimp and grits I sent it back and changed it to their catfish fritters and a side of mac n cheese. Sadly, That was even more sad. The catfish had absolutely no taste at ALL and the mac n cheese was also under seasoned. I decided to just keep it anyway. My boyfriend didn’t like his burger either because it was also under seasoned. The«fresh cut» French fries that came with his burger were extremely soggy and also tasteless. We didn’t even bother to order dessert because the food was just that bad. They are WAY too overpriced considering the quality of the food. $ 15.00 for an $ 8.00 burger and I don’t even know where to begin with the pricing of my food. Food of such quality should never even leave the kitchen. Honestly, I don’t think I would ever return back to this restaurant… I could go on for days but I’m already over this restaurant…

I have only been here once and I was not impressed. It was very crowded went on a Friday night for my bosses going way party last summer. Here is why I was not impressed. 1. Very slow serve 2. Waiters were not knowledgable about the menu. 3. Too loud to hear anyone even the person next to me. 4. Very cramped sitting. 5. Many of the people I had dinner with complained that the food was very underwhelming. :( Food: 1. Cornbread yes it is amazing 2. Caesar salad was basic 3. Jambalaya was tasteless 4. Salmon was super salty 5. Crab dip was ok Overall I would go here on a less busy day. Weekends seem to be overwhelming. Would not recommend for large groups.

My family and I came here for brunch last week based off a locals suggestion. Many issues but this place has potential to be successful. 1) Lack of training: starting with the hostess who doesn’t smile nor greet you when you enter the establishment. Who makes you wait for 10 minutes so they can set up your parties table when you already made reservations. 2) Service: our server wasn’t knowledgeable about the menu at all and she was a poor listener. She had to continuously come back and confirm our orders. My lady asked how the gumbo was and the server responded, «it has a spice to it, and the seafood in it is shrimp.» Our server lacked basic training as far as not to reach over a guest when placing plates or glasses on the table. She also cleared our table before we were finished. 3) Food: Being that this was brunch most of us ordered breakfast food. I ordered a simple 3 eggs, turkey sausage, and grits. My food came out bone cold. My potatoes were undercooked. The sausage was old and dry. I told my server and she just literally went back and microwaved it and brought it back out. They put parmesan cheese on my grits? And the grits were grainy as well. Overall: with proper training I think this place can be very successful. But they need to invest in their people it’s apparent that they haven’t.

Our brunch was amazing from start to finish, food and server included! I had the blackened salmon and poached egg and my guy had the grand marnier french toast. Absolutely no complaints! Going back for the catfish and some jazz very soon.

First time here and we walked away pleased. We came for«Weekend Brunch» on Saturday, that I purchased on Groupon deal($ 30 for $ 16) a few months back for my next visit to Baltimore to hang out with my CT grammer school friend now living in Baltimore. Though the place wasn’t crowded; far from being full, the Hostess greeted us with«Do you have a reservation?» which appeared awkward in a semi empty place. We were quickly seated in a small dining area at a table for 4 located near the back of the restaurant. One suggestion, if you’re going to seat guest near a back door or utility closet, don’t have it visible for all to see(dirty wall, trash can and/or utility equipment in plain sight); close off the area as it makes the dining experience less delightful! My friend and I were very please with menu choices and the hostess/waiter was very open with suggestions and answering any questions we had. We were given 3 cornbread muffins to start off our dining experience. If the muffins were a prelude to the taste and quality of the food, we have somthing to look forward too! :-) We chose breakfast item entrees(Fried Apple Strudel Pancakes and Brown Sugar & Cinnamon French Toast) along with a few sides(Savory Grits, Applewood Smoked Bacon and Catfish Fritters). SEEPHOTOS! The meal was plentiful and tasty. The menu prices was excellent for the amount of food given; so much that I ended up taking half of my pancake order home! Bottom line, I would come back again if in town for Weekend Brunch, even without a Groupon deal! :-) :-)

I would give the food a 3. But the service certainly was excellent. The chicken tenders we had as an appetizer were well cooked — the breading was crisp and didn’t fall off the chicken however it lacked flavor. The breading didn’t appear to have even been seasoned with basic salt and pepper, that was a bit disappointing. I had a delicious BBQ Burger it was perfectly medium well. And a side of Mac n cheese that was well seasoned and cooked! A very nice ratio of noodle to cheese. I believe our server’s name was Sierra. She was very good. Attentive without being intrusive. The restaurant also had a bar area. I initially thought they had a D.J. But after a few songs, it seemed less like a D. J and more like an Ipod and the person controlling it was having a tough time deciding what to play. It was also very loud. We would likely return if we were looking for a place to eat in the area.

AMAZINGFOOD! Great ambiance. we went for my friend’s bday and were not disappointed by the food. it was large portions but so delicious! If i had one complaint it would be the reservation process. I had made reservations on opentable for 8:30pm. We arrived early and were told our table was not ready. At the time it was fine as we were early, but then 8:30 came and went 8:45 we finally had to seat ourselves on the second level in the sort of lounge area i receive a text at 9:15 that our table is ready we have already been served by then so i just ignored it. We didnt have a particularly large party it was only 5 of us but why take reservations if you cant hold them. But other than that it was really good. i would just suggest not having reservations if you dont plan on actually holding peoples’ tables seems pointless

The vibe at Phaze10 is chill. It can be a bit noisy. Live music is always a treat. My first time there, I ordered the shrimp and grits. Too saucy for my taste. The service is friendly. This time I ordered the crabcake. New rule, you CANNOT be a restaurant in Baltimore and not get this basic concept right. It was the most underflavored, overworked(read mushy), low quality crabcake I’ve ever had in Harm City. The sangria tasted powdered, so I switched back to the Malbec. Still very friendly service.

Food was delicious. Been here twice and not a but disappoinTed in the food placed I’m getting of me. The wings I had last time I forgot to tell them«all flats» however it was just as good. The mac n cheese is a great side to eat alone. They always have a DJ going and happy hour is until 7pm. I totally enjoyed my experience the both times I frequented this place. Only complaint was that we asked for our check but they grouped me on yhr same check as my classmate(mind you I came separately grok my classmate)… lll still be going back soon

Phaze 10 is a cute place and a lot more spacious then it seems there are 2 floors and a whole bunch of seperated gathering spaces. I wish this place was in a better part. Of town it is so out of the way to get here Definitely one of my fav brunch spots. And thats saying something since I prefer a buffet. The boo always gets the eastern shore omelete and enjoys ot with the huge pancakes. The biscuits they bring out with powedered sugar are perfect and even the shrimp and grits are perfectly cooked. My issue here is that for $ 18 you are supposed to get unlimited mimosas or sangria. If I only cam catch my waiters eye that is hardly worth my money. Its great my food comes out in a timely manner but if I cant drink my way through my meal did brunch really happen?

I went here for Saturday brunch with friends. The place was fairly empty, and after my experience I understand why. Some people at our table ordered the catfish fritters for appetizers; they came out after their entrees, which took forever to come out. When we asked our server, Simone, how much longer for our food, her response: «they’re cooking it.» Of course they’re cooking it that’s what happens in a kitchen… but okayyy a long wait for food is to be expected when you’re in a packed restaurant… Oh wait, that’s right. THEPLACEISPRACTICALLYEMPTY!!! When our food finally arrived, we couldn’t eat it. Why? Because we didn’t have any silverware. I asked our server three different times for silverware. She came back multiple times; once with ketchup, then with hot sauce, then napkins. After a few minutes of staring at my steak and eggs and not being able to eat it, I went to the kitchen to find my own utensils. I found my server there rolling the silverware up in napkins. I asked her if I could just have the silverware so we could begin eating. She told me she had to roll it and bring it to the table.(I wanted to scream, «I’m already here in the kitchen where I shouldn’t even be just hand me the forks and knives!!!»). After I insisted, she reluctantly gave me ten unrolled forks and knives. I wish I could say that once I got utensils, my experience turned around because my food was delicious… but nope! The steak was so bland, my friend who ordered the same thing said(I kid you not) this tastes like dog food and asked for steak sauce. Or waitress«oh I don’t think we have any. If we do it’s in the basement. I’ll go check.» We never saw steak sauce or heard anything else about it. The potatoes were dry and shriveled up, like they’d been zapped in the microwave one too many times. I had some of my friend’s chicken and waffles dish. Chicken, dry and overcooked. Waffles, rubbery. Our food came out at 3:10, we asked the waitress for another round of the bottomless mimosa/bellinis, only to be told that there were no more BOTTOMLESS mimosa/bellinis. Whaatttttt!!! Bottomless has a bottom? We asked to speak to the manager. He/she didn’t come. Instead the waitress came and told us she would bring us a pitcher of mimosas. Now five ladies ordered five different flavored drinks(peach, mango, strawberry, raspberry), some mimosa and some bellini… How do you decide to bring ONE pitcher of plain mimosas? We asked to speak the manager, never saw them. Instead, the bartender came over apologized and offered another round of our individual drinks and a pitcher of whatever drink we decided. Ok, that’s better. But at this point, I would still like to see the manager. What kind of manager doesn’t come see about a table who has had multiple issues? I asked the waitress if the manager was coming. Her response, «I mean, oh. You still want to see the manager? Didn’t the bartender come over?»(Umm yes, but the bartender is not the manager, I’d like to see the person running this shit show. I have complaints as well as suggestions for improving the experiences of your customers, and alcohol is not going to make me forget that.) She goes off to get the manager, she comes back a few minutes later and tells us that the manager stepped out and he’ll be back in forty five minutes to an hour. Unfrigginbelievable !! No wonder the place is so shanty, there’s no supervision. You could not pay me to go back here. Bad food, bad service. Granny’s in Owings Mills is better.

The waitstaff is very courteous and professional. I last came down about a year ago. We sat in the bar area and listened to the Marc Evans jazz band. The band, the drinks & the catfish = an awesome night. Make sure you try the catfish. I prefer the blackened. It’s delightful. Parking can be a task sometimes, but it’s the city!

Omg ! Where do I start ! When I walked in the presence was amazing. Very clean and nice setting ! The music playing definitely sets you in a good mood. I love how we were greeted by a friendly hostess/server. I came here on a groupon with my roommate and the food was amazing ! We ordered the southern Cobb salad and Mac and cheese! It was soooo good! Definitely worth every penny! The salad was huge ! I has crispy chicken but you can have the choice of grilled chicken and have shrimp or salmon for extra ! The Mac n cheese was soooo good. ! Definitely will come here again Also the seating in here is amazing ! Plenty of space ! You will not regret coming to Phaze 10!
