When I lived in Charles Village I would buy food elsewhere and would stop in Ledos just to get an order of fries. I did this because when we ordered the pizza and spaghetti dinner the pizza was not worth the cost based simply on size, and the flavor did not help. The spaghetti dinner literally tasted like they opened a can of Chef Boyardee spaghetti. The final sour note was when my wife received a completely burnt piece of Italian bread that they were passing off as garlic bread. Basically, this location will cut corners and do the least possible work and cost to fill your order, so just get fries after getting a sandwich up the street.

Their pizzas, any kind you order, all are very tasty. Thin crust, good flavors, really savory. Their spaghetti and meatball also makes your mouth watery as well. Sadly, as others have mentioned, their service is terrible. I barely tip them when I eat there because it’s that bad. There are several other Ledo locations throughout Maryland, but this one provides the worst service. Otherwise, Ledo is the best pizza chain restaurant.

This was a very interesting and frustrating experience at Ledo’s tonight. I must say, I would give it a 5 star rating if simply judging the pizza. It was amazing. Properly cooked, loaded with cheese and toppings, piping hot. Down right yummy all the way around. But then there was everything else that really brought down the experience of eating one amazing pizza. I will start by the service. It was really slow and confusing. Our waiter was very friendly and polite, when he remembered we were there. However, he was much more interested in watching the TV with another employee(manager? owner?). No offers for refills on drinks and waited forever for the check. During our meal, we were totally bombarded with the smell of cleaning products from a bathroom. You know, the big peppermints in the urinals that make things clean, but the smell reminds you of a place that is not clean. Well, this odor was VERY strong through the dining experience. Then, while eating an ant walked across the table. This is cold weather in December, and there was an ant. Ugh. To make matters worse, as we ate our great pizza, but saw an ant on the table and smelled lavatory cleaning products, we really had the chance to closer inspect the place as we waited for our check as the waiter was more interested in watching television with his partner. The booth that we sat in has a chair mold type of molding around the entire wall. I kid you not, there was at least a quarter of an inch or greasy dust on this molding. A simple cleaning rag with some pine sol would have this place clean in a jiffy. But it was clearly neglected for ages. This was frustrating. If the people at the counter have the time to stand there and ignore the customers and watch television, they could certainly grab a rag and get to wiping. I love Ledo’s and as I said the pizza was amazing. But I think this place is suited for take out and not dining in. Although with an ant on the table, bathroom smells while eating, and caked on dust in the dining area, I am worried to think about what kind of conditions might exist in the kitchen. Come on Ledos… step up with the service and clean the place.

As a Baltimore native Ledos is often a must when we travel back home. This trip, as always, the beautifully sweet sauce and deliciously thin crust did not disappoint. The service, however, was terrible. The wait staff was rude, curt, abrupt, and very unwelcoming. It appeared as if we were an incredible inconvenience to the otherwise empty restaurant. If it weren’t for that pizza I wouldn’t go back, but for now we’ll stick to Ledos for carry out.

One of the first things you will notice when you walk in is that this place is how dark it is. Even though I am an eco-friendly man, I do not appreciate that; this is not a romantic place… light up the darn dining room! Another thing you will notice… this place is run pretty much completely by Indians… maybe a couple Hispanic fellas in the kitchen. Hard to blame Unilocaler Andi A. for mistaking this place as the Indian Restaurant Masala Kitchen right next door More importantly, pizzas are terrible. Crust is thin but super oily… what’s the point to save on carbs if you are gonna load it up with grease? Cheese is used sparingly and subpar. Pizza sauce? Absolutely terrible — thinly applied(come on, using more is not going to break their bank considering how much these pies cost) and tastes like ketchup and sugar with traces of «Italian herbs.» This place does serve alcohol… maybe you can drink your sorrows away if you do decide to eat here for whatever reason

I just came from this restaurant with my two friends. They were trying to enter Masala Kitchen, got seated, and ordered drinks. When they got the menu, they realized it wasn’t Masala Kitchen at all. But, hey, pizza isn’t bad either. Anyway, I joined them later and ordered a veggie pizza and a Strawberry Cooler(total with tax= $ 11.13). The pizza was a square pizza with a thin, dry crust cut into nine pieces. The sauce was TERRIBLE. It literally tasted like ketchup, or maybe tomato paste mixed with sugar. I only ate three pieces :( The strawberry cooler was really good, but the cup was ¾ ice. I took two sips and then it was done. No refills. :( The location is perfect, right on Charles Street, and the place is surprisingly spacious. Service was good; our waiter Sheike was super friendly and did not pressure our group to leave early. However, the food was not that good. We had to take a trip to University Market later to get some goodies to make up for the blah food :(The ambiance is good, kind of like a diner from the 80s, but food is sooo not!

The Stromboli Is delicious! The pizza is a walking heart attack/severe case of heartburn waiting to happen. If they cut back about 90% on the grease itd totally be worth it. My suggestion, go for anything other than the pizza and you’ll like be satisfied and at a significantly reduced risk for heart trouble in the future.

Why the one star review? The staff is awful, rude, unprofessional, racist, and makes any visit extremely regrettable. I believe it was the manager who pulled his eyes into a «slant» to comment on someone’s Asian ethnicity, completely unprovoked. There was an African-American couple who a waiter«jokingly» told them glasses of tap water would be $ 5 for them. He did this so convincingly that the man ordered an iced tea instead and when the waiter brought the iced tea to the table said«Oh I was just kidding about the water price.» This is just the beginning. Numerous women have said the entirely male staff have made sexist remarks, making the women feel so uncomfortable. These are just some experiences I’ve personally witnessed or heard of, I’m sure there’s plenty more. Please do not support this organization in any way until the staff learns how to properly behave as human beings.

Maybe there’s something wrong with me. I grew up in Prince George’s County and have been a Marylander all my life… but I just don’t get Ledo pizza. It simply doesn’t make sense to me. My parents like it. We used to go out to TJ Elliott’s in Bowie for Ledo pizza all the time. I always ordered something else from the menu. The crust is strange, the sauce is too sweet, and frankly, the only thing pizza-like about it is the fact that it somewhat closely resembles the way a pizza looks. If you’re a resident of Charles Village, it’s a pretty short walk to Ledo’s. The convenience aspect is a plus. I want to like this place, but I can’t get past the pizza. I’m sorry, Ledo’s. :(

It’s not bad pizza, it’s not great pizza either. It is serviceable. The husband and his family adore Ledo’s so I end up eating it more often than not when it come to pizza time. The best way to go when it comes to Ledo’s is plain cheese, extra cheese. It’s good and greasy but gets the job done. Most of the other pizzas have been a little but f a disappointment so the old standby works.

Ledo is great! I highly enjoyed their chicken Parmesan with spaghetti! The sauce was so rich and tasty. Truly surprising for this type of place. Plus the salads are fresh :) my boyfriend always orders the calzones and he loves them. Highly recommended when you want good food for less $!

Not real pizza. While it may have crust, sauce and cheese(and maybe even pepperoni) this is not what I would call«pizza». From what I gather, all ingredients come from a freezer with nothing fresh. The cheese is a crappy blend and filled with grease. If my kids(who obviously have poor taste in food) didn’t like it, I would never order again. It’s too bad Maxis is so expensive.

This is my go-to place for salad and pizza. All the food on the menu are surprisingly good(except buffalo sauce — very salty). All their salads are super fresh and delicious. I love all of them. I also really enjoy their chicken parmesan with spaghetti. They also have amazing fries and cheese bacon fries. There aren’t many choices for beer and wine; I normally just order their draft beer, which is pretty cheap during the happy hours. Overall, you won’t be disappointed at Ledo Pizza. A very nice local restaurant.

The very first time I tried Ledo’s I was not impressed but since then my opinions of it has changed a great deal. They don’t have the best pizza in the world but it is tasty and the prices are hard to beat. It’s sliced into convenient little pieces which are great if you’re splitting with a big group of people. I’ve tried a number of their appetizers as well, none of them really stand out in my memory but they were all good in a greasy, very unwholesome bar food kind of way. Service at this particular location has always been fast and friendly and I recall the beer being relatively cheap as well. Not bad for non-fancy pizza.

A very mediocre pizza place near Johns Hopkins in Charles Village. The sauce was much too sweet and the pizza was just a mess. It was nice to be able to sit outside while we ate. In this locale, I prefer Papa Johns pizza on 33rd over Ledo’s.

I really like this Ledo’s. I have a gluten-intolerance and was so excited when they announced that they have a gluten free crust. I actually really like it. It comes in a personal size(I think 8″) and they have made it for me in the style of other pizzas on their menu(Margherita, California Cool, etc.). The salads, french fries, and iced tea are also good. I like the atmosphere here. It’s pretty casual and kind of cozy. We usually end up hanging out there for a while since the booths are comfy and the lighting isn’t too bright or too low. They have wi-fi, a couple of TVs, and serve alcohol. It’s usually not very crowded, so service is fast and it’s not too loud. The staff are always friendly. Have had them screw up my order before, but they were quick to fix it.

I ordered some take out Ledo’s off of Foodler for some reason. It really made no sense to do it that way. I should have just called because when I arrived they never received the fax so I had to sit and wait for my pizza. Foodler blows. The only reason this matters is because I had quite the juxtapositional experience. The check out lady, a very pretty young lady I might add(god bless the shorts), was very apologetic and helpful and quick about putting my order in. I told her it wasn’t her fault of course, because it wasn’t, but I asked to talk to the manager. The manager was a total nerd. I simply asked if he or if I would have to resolve the redundant charge on my card and he mumbled an answer I couldn’t hear, looked away, and then made me tell him to speak up like a man because I’m now irritated atop being hungry. It was not a pretty picture. I give this place four stars because I genuinely like Ledo’s pizza and though the manager was a weaselly little girly man, I cannot let him take away from the pizza. Chances of having to deal with him anyway are few and far between but if you do, just yell at him if he’s being quiet.
