New York Fried Chicken

The best, make that the ONLY place to grab some late night fried chicken in Baltimore.
Best approached on foot and located smack dab in the middle of «The Block» which is where all the strip clubs are. Nevermind the 500 or so cops on the street if it’s after last call… just tell them you want chicken or wait for a fight to break out across the street, then make your move.
It lost some of its old time charm when they replaced the dildos and X-​rated videos on the opposite wall with cellphone stuff. You still might get propositioned or offered a couple crack rocks or both though, so it’s all good.
As for the food, the chicken is rather high priced, but it has great texture and flavor. Not much meat though. The collard greens are perfectly seasoned, and the macaroni and cheese is slammin. They don’t always serve half and half which is disappointing because it’s awesome.
So go ahead, if you’re feenin for some late night yardbird, hit up New York Chicken!
