NextCar

I had to to drive to pick up a car to get to work in DC at 9AM on a weekday so I went to this NextCar location at 7:25AM before they even opened. At 7:30 they opened the doors, there was one person ahead of me so I figured the wait would not be long. A full 45 minutes later I still had not even been addressed by an employee so I left and rented a ZipCar instead. This place is horrible, don’t go here if you have any other options.

This company is awful! So rude attitude and behavior in front desk and also manager. I rented the car a week before pick up date through carrentals but when I wanted to pick the car they told me I cannot have the car. They did not mention any logic reason and I had to rent from other company with higher price. I will never try this poor and non professional company in future.

they let us reserve a car they didn’t have. called 2 hrs before pick up and was told the car was on the lot, but when we arrived they said they never had it to begin with.

Awful.
Dirty cars, dirty office. Clerks are sloooooow and don’t care. I literally walked out.
Save your time and go to Enterprise on Sisson and watch how grownups do it.

Avoid this company!!! I was a customer of next car several years ago and had usually good experiences so I talked to my relatives about switching their company business to next car. What a mistake that was! They went to the location on Howard Street and it took two hours to pick up a car that had been reserved several days before. There was a line of seven people waiting to rent a car and only one person working behind the counter. Not only was the service terrible but next car charge $ 750 extra dollars in security deposits for the car rental. The time of rental was less than 24 hours! It has been a nightmare trying to get that $ 750 returned and credited to the credit card. It became such an ordeal to get the proper amount credited that they had to cancel the credit card and order a new one and dispute the charges. The rental charge was only $ 50 per day I do not know how they racked up a $ 750 security deposit on a car that was kept less than 24 hours? Save yourself time aggravation and most importantly money and do not use this company. This is about the third issue that we have had with them and I do not know why because several years ago they were very good highly efficient company. I think they’ve gotten too big too fast and do not have the staff to accommodate the customers and it was quite apparent by the person’s attitude they just do not care.
