Went to Royal Farms in September of 2015 for The Comedy Get Down: Cedric ‘The Entertainer,’ George Lopez, and More show. I got my tickets on Groupon, and wasn’t really satisfied with the seats, but the venue wasn’t bad. It’s definitely not a new arena, but okay enough to enjoy a show. The parking garage took forever to get out of, but the arena wasn’t bad.

Great sports atmosphere for the Baltimore blast. Very kids friendly and a high paced soccer game. Easy parking and seats are all good

Terrible acoustics for a concert venue… I have been to many concerts here and can barely hear the singers.

Went this past weekend to see Garth Brooks, was disappointed in a few things. 1. The wait time for the ladies restrooms was ridiculous. How do you seat thousands of people and only have 6 stalls per level for women to use. We missed songs due to the wait time to use a restroom. We sat on the third level. It is steep. There are no stair rails to hold onto when walking up/down the stairs. It was a bit scary and I heard others mentioning this same issue. All in all it was just ok. I will continue to stick with Nissan Pavilion and Verizon Center. Royal Farms needs to be updated

I was at Royal Farms last night for a 10:30 concert. This was one of two concerts at this venue last night. They scheduled a 7:00 and 10:30. They could not possibly clear out the arena and get the new crowd in on time. The concert did not start until 11:57 p.m. The bathrooms were filthy at the beginning of the concert. The scanner machines were not working properly for those that did not have a paper ticket. The worst was that just before the concert started a man missed a step, fell and broke his leg. As a former EMT I went over to him prior to EMS getting to him. When EMS arrived they checked him over. The male EMT was great. I was watching the female who was checking over the obviously broken leg. I noticed blood on her gloves and asked if he was bleeding as I had not seen any blood near the break. Her response was — oh no, that was from another patient but I am not touching him with it. The dried blood was all over the glove. It would be physically impossible to check out the leg without touching it with two hands including the bloody glove.

This venue is outdated, dingy, and has poor management of foot traffic. Only a few doors are opened, leaving you standing outside in line for hours. The lack of paper tickets exacerbated the flow of people because the mouth-breathers they have swiping your credit card) to validate your tickets) fumble around and then have to wait for the network to process your information and print out your ticket stub. The beer options are Budweiser, bud light, and Michelob Ultra(also known as pisswater, 50% less pisswater, and water). I didn’t bother to eat any of the«food». Someone had the genius idea to write the seat numbers for the floor section in chalk on the raw cement floors only along the very back row of the section, leading to a lot of confusion. The best thing I could say about this place is that the inside air temperature was pleasant and there was some guy running around mopping the cement(to prevent slips, I guess?), and I didn’t have to stand in line for the bathroom. This place sucks and is really on par with a ‘genuine Baltimore experience’ of grime, rudeness, poor service, and too many people. The only thing that could make this more Baltimorean would be to cover the floors with Old Bay seasoning but even that would taken too much effort in upkeep for the proprietors. The people that review this place with high remarks are Wrestling fans and their tastes are dubious(and probably intoxicated) at best. I think this place is best explained as a giant cement barn, best suited for livestock(or wrestling). I will not return.

Getting into this arena is atrocious. There are lots of doors you could enter/exit through, but they funnel EVERYONE coming in through 3 – 4 of them. We are at an event that is scheduled to begin at 1030. We got in line at 930. It is now 1145 and we are still standing outside waiting to get in. We can see the people inside who are standing in yet another line which is not moving to get to their seats. This is by far not a brand new venue. You would think they would have learned to plan for large crowds by now.

I am thoroughly disgusted by a conversation I had with a woman in the box office of this venue. Long story short, I bought tickets to Garth Brooks for January 30th, knowing that I was due to have a baby on January 11th. I have always wanted to see him in concert and this was the only weekend he would be in the area for, as far as I know, the rest of my life. As my first child came early, I was hoping I would actually be in good enough shape to attend after the birth of this one. However, I am now four days overdue and it is looking like this baby may not come until my scheduled induction on the 24th of January. After being told by Ticketmaster that I could not transfer my tickets for the Garth Brooks show to a friend due to their ridiculous credit card entry policy, I called the venue to see if they would help me at the Ticketmaster person’s suggestion. The woman I spoke with told me that she couldn’t do anything… that I(only sort of) understand. I realize it’s their policy but I was hoping my extenuating circumstances would at least encourage them to offer a refund, or some help with getting my friend tickets. But what really made me shocked was that the woman suggested that I would be fine to attend the concert after having the baby so close to the event date. I thought she was joking, so I asked her if she had ever had a baby. After she said she’d had three, she continued to talk about how I should go and it would be a good date night. Her lack of empathy and ridiculous ideas were completely offensive. I will not be attending this venue in the future.

This was my first time at this arena. The arena is smaller than what I expected. The seating is super close. So much so that if you have to go to the bathroom and you’re in a middle seat. Everyone in the row would have to get up so you could get out of your row.

This was our first time seeing a show here and more than likely our last. We bought tickets at the box office as I was hoping to get a deal on unsold tickets. I am not sure if it ended up being any cheaper. We met the rudest ticket sales person. If I hadn’t just driven all the way to Baltimore, and paid $ 20 for parking, I would have left. She was completely unhelpful in explaining the orientation of the show we were seeing, which had been running for several days(there is seating on 3 sides of the floor), and was hesitant to tell me which seats were open in sections I was was interested in sitting in. At one point she said to me «Look lady, I don’t feel like dealing with you right now». She expected me to choose a ticket price and then just pay her for whatever seat she choose for me. There was no body in line ahead of or behind me. She had been reading a book when I arrived. I remained pleasant and we picked seats. I wish now I had gotten her name. This is not the way a business should interact with their customers. We bought seats close to the floor(Sec 108, row B). I am 6 foot and I could not comfortably sit in the stadium seating. The space between my seat and the seat in front of me was minuscule. I measured when I got home, from butt to knee I measure right around 27 inches. I literally could not sit down with my knees in front of me. In the words of Derek Zoolander, «What is this? A center for ants?». My husband explained our situation to the seating staff and they quickly found us new seats. We were places in Sec 110, row AA. This is front row seating on the ground floor. It was an upgrade we appreciated. As others have mentioned, the stadium bares the signs of its age. Everything inside was absurdly priced and they check your bag at the door for outside food or drinks. You obviously need to pay for parking unless your taking the light rail but there are several public parking garages in the vicinity. There are dozens of restaurants within a 15 minute walk or there is Subway right across the street if you do not want to wander far.

I went to Royal Farms Arena last month for WWE Baby! It was a sweet little low-key venue. I had no complaints about this place, per se, but I wouldn’t exactly suggest walking around the surrounding area in the late hours. The arena isn’t a luxury place. Some other reviews say run down. I respectfully disagree. It’s just old, but not dirty or anything. It’s just a good place to see an event. So be safe, buy your snacks and souvenirs and have fun!

Saw Disney on Ice here and enjoyed the show! As many others have noted, it is a bit older of an arena, a bit run down, and the concessions are expensive(but where are they not?). One thing that is great though is pretty much all the seats are good. I bought the cheapest tickets thinking I’d be pretty far away with a poor view, but my seats(in section 224) ended up being pretty great. Quick note on parking in the area, it is expensive and gets pretty congested right around the arena, but if you book through (or on their app) you can park about two blocks away for much cheaper(I paid only $ 9)!

I was there for WWE Raw on labor day if I hadn’t already bought my tickets three months ago I wouldn’t have bothered in coming. The event was fun but the arena needs some serious updates.

What a dump! Small, smelly, sloppy sump pump dumping ground of a venue. Hard to believe the Eagles agreed to perform in this hole. Had it been any other group performing, I would not have stayed for the entire show. The place was too hot. The seats were too small. The so-called«event staff» consisted of a bunch of street thugs itching for trouble. By the time the concert was over, I was dripping in perspiration, and my date actually became ill from whatever they did to the over-priced hot dogs! My recommendation would be to avoid this venue if at all possible.

The Royal Farms Arena is an historic venue hosting the most important of stars. Over the years it’s grown a reputation for growing old with that history. As a kid I used to camp out at night for WWE tickets. Looking forward to guaranteed sellouts every time. It was dated then and it’s getting worse. Location is perfect just a few blocks from Orioles and Ravens stadiums. You can see minor upgrades to add a bit of modern flare but the arena is old. No video boards, no suites, no sports teams…

Definitely an old run down place without the amenities of modern arenas, like the fancy scoreboards. I came here to see Prince and Royal Farms Arena didn’t have any of the amenities of a modern arena(such as screens so that people far away can see the show). I ended up with floor seats so I can’t complain about the view. The set up was a bit chaotic, none of the seats were numbered and nothing indicated where the numbering started(or ended) but it worked out ok and the ushers were friendly. The biggest problem for me was the sound. It was just muffled and muddied down on the floor. Not sure how much of that was because Prince had a really large band and how much was just the arena, but the sound was bouncing around everywhere. Things did get noticeably better though when I put in ear plugs. The arena was easy to get to from Washington and it’s a relatively small venue for something this size(as compared to something like the Verizon center). Parking a block and half away was $ 11 and I had no trouble getting in or out of the arena. I had a great time, but it definitely wasn’t because of the venue.

I don’t know where the people are from that say it’s a great place! I was there last night for the Prince concert. The elevator was broken. Oh wait! First u had to find an employee that knew where it was. Security was nervous & unorganized. The seats & seating areas are filthy! I don’t care who is there in the future, I won’t be there!!!

A Royal Farms newbie here! I visited for the first time last weekend with my niece to see the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus. It’s hard to tell if this arena is usually this discombobulated or if it was just because there were hundreds of tiny, screaming and sweaty children all over the place. I think they had the heat on. I’ll admit, as a person who doesn’t do well with heavy crowds, this was definitely a challenge. Seems like everything is so compact. I mean, I like that it makes everything easier to get to, but geez. Even the seats are built so close together! I’m short and my knees were basically grazing the seat in front of me. The people behind us were practically sitting in our seats with us each time they leaned over. If you’re tall, I suggest you try to buy an end-seat ticket! As with all stadium venues, be prepared to bring a wad of cash or a credit card to buy the expensive snacks and drinks.(i.e. $ 5 for a 20 oz bottled water and so on.) Parking was really convenient. There’s a garage attached to the back side of the arena. Which made it nice to not have to walk far with a 3 year old. All in all, we had fun. But of course, it wasn’t about the arena, it was mainly that my mini-me had a good time. I plan to come back in June for a grown up show, so we’ll see if it feels any different.

Old, dirty, and in need of just being knocked down. That being said I’ve probably been here a hundred times for everything from circuses to concerts and have good memories. Tips: If you park in arena garage go to the bottom of the garage by the exit to park or you’ll wait hours to get out. There is direct access in and out of the arena from this garage. No outside food/beverages allowed… But they only check purses. Food variety inside stinks(pizza, chicken tenders, hot dogs, and pretzels only… maybe eat before or after?). City of Baltimore: It’s time for a new arena!!!

We had great seats just above the walkway so there is plenty of leg room. I love the size of the place, nice and cozy. It’d be an even greater venue if it wasn’t in Baltimore. Ugly ass crowd…

They really need to replace this arena. It’s old and outdated. The seats are really small. Anyone over 200 lbs or 6 ft will be cramped. At 6’8″ I can’t physically sit down. There’s not enough room from the back of one seat to the one in front of you. Also $ 8 domestic beers and $ 10 hard lemonade.

There’s less legroom here than an economy class airplane seat. I was here last night for a Justin Timberlake concert and was fortunate enough to nab floor seats. Not only were none of the rows labeled, which overcomplicated the process of finding our seats, but they were all crammed together. You can’t move, let alone dance. The venue’s age definitely shows and the acoustics aren’t ideal, but still bearable. Didn’t bother trying to get food or drink inside — there’s a Jimmy Johns a block away if you need a quick meal before a show. Parking in the area is an ENORMOUSPAIN. Definitely pre-pay for parking online before an event but be prepared to sit in the garage for about a half hour after trying to leave. The only perk of this arena is that it’s small enough that you will probably have decent views of the stage no matter what seat you’re in.
