Eh… Tourist place set up… well…for tourists. Bars, clubs, more bars, and a lot of lights. Made for College students and tourists. I was passing through… but there are so many better places to see. This place just doesn’t have a lot of Baltimore feel to me. Maybe if I saw an amazing Blues band playing… it would get an extra star.

We went to Leinenkugels Beer Garten. …we had the awesome experience of having Matt as our bartender, only to find out later that he was only a bar back… we were set aback. He has amazing customer service skills, he knew who my husband was after only one visit. He did a lot of different service throughout the night that only made us wish that we could hire him for our business. Way to go Matt. We know that you will do great things with your life. Never quit! You will make it big!

The cover charges here are outrageous. Basically grants you entrance into 5 – 7 different bars. The crowd is average and the outfits people wear are casual. Reminds me of a college frat party but with 25 – 35 year olds.

I’ve been to Power Plant Live! a couple of times either when I or friends won happy hours. I haven’t been in like a year… but out of the blue, I got a notification that I won a bar crawl to hop between most of the spots! Since when have they done bar crawls? I was super excited! So I assembled my crew and we went. I got there around 6… my first time going in the daytime. It’s beautiful there in the daytime, I wish I could make it that early every time, but not with how I work in DC… anyways, my first stop was Luckie’s, where my email advertised complimentary appetizers until 7:00. Here, I learned that people just walk around with platters and allow you to just pick one piece off(finger food basically), so it was no way near enough to fill you… I still had to buy food. I only had one tiny piece of a quesadilla… nothing else came around. I wasn’t upset though, because the quesadilla was worth buying, BUT I do think that they should clarify how the complimentary appetizers work, because I was expecting way more. After leaving there I got my cup to drink unlimited, then went into the Leinenkugel’s Beer Garden. It’s a nice open place, but the service was super slow… I am fairly certain that our waitress was new, so I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt on that. We also saw a mouse in there… The place IS pretty open so I don’t know if that was a Baltimore mouse or a mouse exclusive to that place… either way, yikes. After that, had an absolute blast in PBR because they had A BULL! I’d never ridden a mech bull before but I hope that footage doesn’t see the light of day because I got pwned. Lastly was Mosaic, which got really live after the concert ended and we really enjoyed ourselves there too. The best part about winning this bar crawl is that no one had to pay, and we all got free parking in Pier 5… it’s a beautiful thing. All you have to do is say the host’s name at the tent and give them your Pier V parking stub and you’re good to go! Make friends… everything is better when it’s free(or discounted). Pros: Mechanical bull, environmental variety in different places, outdoor seating, free parking Cons: EEK! A mouse, Slow service in Leinenkugel’s, weak drinks

Every time I come to Powerplant it just seems like a giant frat party with cover after cover after cover. There’s a cover to enter the general area and then another cover to enter each bar. Sometimes bars here will do late night happy hour specials for groups, but beware of all the frat boys – unless that’s your scene.

Power Plant Live is a real easy way to have fun for a night out in Baltimore. Multiple bars, a dj at the back of the plaza, and lots of people… what more do you want? Leinenkugel’s was my favorite but my friends did enjoy their cocktails at another place(sorry I don’t remember the name). Outdoor seating is also a big fat plus. Please note that at least on Saturday nights there is a $ 10 cover charge, but this cover charge gives you a $ 10 bar tab. So unless no one in your group plans on drinking, I don’t see why you wouldn’t enjoy yourself here!

If you can’t find a good time here, you might be dead. A variety of bars and night clubs to visit within the Power Plant and live music on stage. Expect big crowds at times, especially when there’s something going on at the Convention Center. You may experience a cover charge to get into the Power Plant area and a 2nd cover charge at some of the bars. However, when I was there, there was no cover charges at all. Not sure if any of the night clubs offer food, but you’re in Baltimore. Eat at any of the great restaurants, then hit the Power Plant for some fun.

Garbage!!! Gates opened at 4, Show should have been 6 – 9, and the bathroom attendant said DKM doesn’t come on before 10. Never coming back. Beer is way overpriced!!! People here smell like poo! More reason why Baltimore sucks!!!

$ 5 cover after 11pm? Please I don’t need you, you need me. This is the hub for a whole bunch of bars and will feature live music. However, this cover isn’t for the entertainment per se, its for the right to get into a bar. Thanks but no thanks, I can grab a drink elsewhere.

A friend and I were there in the daytime taking a picture on the steps since I was a cowboy. A bald guy came and accosted us for taking a picture on the steps from a restaurant across the street. Stay away from this place. We had the same bad treatment over at Maryland Live casino as well. STAYFARAWAYFROMANYPLACETHECORDISHFAMILYOWNS. They treat their employees horribly. The guy didn’t even work at the place we were kicked out of.

Races, prejudice, discrimination. I informed them I just flew in, had less than one alcoholic beverage, and( call security) name Claude(who cowardly attempted) to cover is identification card. would not let my party in. I informed him, I had one beverage prior, And just arrived to the Baltimore area. Individual threaten me that I would be removed from the premises. AFTER covering up id badge. Individual showee no professionalism with handling situation. Individual been rumors to discriminate towards Asian American whom show lil intoxication level compare to other of the general public.

The Power Plant Live is a large quasi-outdoor bar area right on the inner harbor of Baltimore. It consists of several bars, with one main bar that has live entertainment. We started off at the Leinenkugel Beer Garden downstairs to wait out the line for the main bar. The beer garden was really cool with Jenga at every table. We got their Miller Lite Tower, which was basically $ 30 for ten beers, which was not bad. The atmosphere at the Beer Garden was warm and quiet and it was a good place to hang out before heading to the main bar. Afterwards we went to the main bar, which has several bars and a mechanical bull if you are feeling adventurous. The drinks are not too expensive, but there is a cover charge which was $ 10 for girls and $ 15 for guys.

TRASHTRASHTRASH! This place has absolutely no class. My friends took me there for my birthday party last weekend. We all paid steep cover charges, walked in and right back out again. There were girls in lingerie literally swinging from the ceiling. This place should be CLEARLY labeled as a gentleman’s club NOT a night club/dance club. Usually, you can tell these trashy bars before you walk in but here you pay the charge at the bottom of the stairs before you even walk up into the place. The worst part is they refused to refund us our money. It ruined my birthday and I think people should know what they are getting into before they waste their time and money!

Great during the day and all the Bars are decent. Security is big problem at night! I know several people who have been pick pocketed and had phones purses and wallets stolen. Not planning on going here anytime soon!

I do not know why this place has negative reviews I think it’s awesome! Admission is only $ 10 and you get access to a whole row of bars/lounges. Not only that you get a diverse selection. If you are not a crazy party person hang out in the beer garden; it’s on the right as soon as you go in. Big selection of beers and a few games to engage in. We checked out the mex and mosaic as well. Mosaic is right outside and has a nice DJ booth setup. We came on a Saturday night so if you enjoy EDM and club mixes this is your spot. Just watch out for the drunk idiots lol. The Mex had a good DJ mixing and nice vibes. There were a few drunk idiots to watch out for as an FYI. Overall, I had a good time and as a tourist it was more then what I expected. If you are in town and do not mind partying this is your place and keep in mind this place closes at 2am.

This was all of what I read it was. I liked how they card everyone at the front then you are free to roam throughout the place. They only took cards at the front. No cash. That was kind of weird to me. What if I didn’t bring my card? It was mostly a younger crowd — mid 20’s. There were a lot of extremely drunk people just roaming around. At approximately 1:30 am they announce last call for the bathrooms??? About 10 minutes later its last call for alcohol. At about 10 of 1, they just empty the place. Everyone has to be out. It was kind of strange. It was cool for people watching but I don’t have to come back… ever.

Tourist trap. It was fun when I was in college but as a full-grown adult it is not my bag. Too many bachelorette parties recently have been wasted at this mecca of drunkeness. Joe Squared is great, but the clubs and night life here are overpriced and lean toward the sleaze, and with all of the people from out of town you can’t trust what kind of folks you are going to come into contact with. I’ll hang out in the ‘burbs thank you very much.

I have been here maybe three times in the last couple years. Cover charge? Yeah no one likes that but I agree with a lot of the other people here that its the bouncers that have bothered me the most the few times I have ventured here. I moved to NYC years back so I converted to a NY drivers license. The last two times Ive waited in the line to have my ID inspected… both times Ive gotten this skeptical eye that it might be fake. Dosnt being a bouncer mean taking a course to learn how to spot fakes easily? …Why do I have to dread to be judged by my out of state card. ANYWAY After that smal bump in the road the place is quite happening. Its interesting that after you pay a cover charge to enter the place some of the bars inside charge their own cover charge again –_-. Hence, Ive never gone to those places haha. The vibe is young, some people start to get rowdy fast. Im still not used to Baltimore’s last calls around 1am. Seems early but people have to drive home! Overall its ok, I dont go out of my way to get here but the times I have been there with friends it has been fun. Though, cough, it could be a lot better.

Don’t get the hate. We tried several other places before settling in here, and they were all empty and dull. So, as a last resort, we bit the bullet, paid the cover, and stepped inside. At the end of the line, they had a dj playing in the streets, with lights buzzing around, and people partying hard. There was great energy there. It was just outside a club, which was packed but not too packed as well. The music in both locations was spot on, the bartenders were nice, and we had a great time. It was just a very fun atmosphere, with great music, and some nice ambiance. It was so weird finding a place packed full of fun people when all the bars around were literally empty. A few of those places looked nice, too. But oh well, the Plant benefits, and it’s great. They did turn up the lights and started kicking people out at 1.30, which was unnecessary. But still, we had fun. Easily worth the cover.
