I had lunch there for the first time and will go again: the service was great and the food good. I took a burger with goat cheese and cucumber, very yummy! I loved the fact they actually offer to give you a reusable glass and also minimize the waste. I can tell that this little detail is priceless for a burger place where you usually have too many napkins, straws, plastic glasses etc

Loved the service. 10⁄10 experience here. Our server, Dearon, was extremely personable as well as knowledgeable. He showed nothing but a positive attitude, and ensured our first visit would not be our last. I cannot wait for our next trip to Smashburger. Also, the facility was spotless. The burger and its toppings were as fresh as can be, too.

There’s this fantastic place and while its next to the tourist traps they serve great burgers at great prices. I tried the Avocado Club with shoestring fries and a drink. A bit more than McDonald’s or Wendy’s but you won’t see those places here. If you want something quick yet delicious, try this place.

This Smashburger was the one I went to for a Unilocal Event a few months ago. I just happened to be in the area and it popped in my mind that I also had a coupon for a free burger from them. For those that live in this area parking can be a bit of a challenge but .25 cents will give you half an hour on one of the meters. Luckily I saw someone leaving and when I checked the meter there was still 28 minutes left. Free burger plus free parking had my day going good so far. I went with the bacon cheeseburger and it came out quickly despite being cooked to order. One thing I like about this particular Smashburger is that you have a clear view to the kitchen as you can see your food being prepared. Not that I am saying that there are any shenanigans going on but it gives me that extra comfort. Burger was good and the vegetables on it were fresh. I hardly notice vegetables on my burger but the fact that I am mentioning this shows that they were fresh. Some burger places talk about using fresh ingredients but the taste shows that is a lie. This is not the case here. I would give one suggestion to Smashburger. Please stop stapling the to-go orders. The top of my bag was stapled and when I opened it the staple fell in my bag where I had an order of fries. Luckily I noticed it but this could leave to a bad accident.

This place knocks Five Guys and Shake Shack out of the water. Burgers are more flavorful, less greasy, and their buttery buns are the only way I ever want to eat a burger again. Their fries are shoestring style and perfectly crispy, and you have to try them tossed in Rosemary, Parmesan, and olive oil. During my visit my friend ordered a side salad(how pious), and it looked super fresh with a nice variety of veggies. I wouldn’t mind swinging by for an entrée salad sometime, but I doubt I’d be able to resist the seduction of the burger once I got to the cashier.

I tried Smashburger at a different location and was really wowed. I think because we came during the quiet time between lunch and dinner that maybe service was lacking. While the food was above average good, the service was so off that it detracted from the experience. The rosemary olive oil fries are my favorite — the are thin straws fried crispy and seasoned. The buffalo fries were a pass next time. The salad was the high point and earned high marks visually and for taste. I like Smashburgers better than Shake Shack.

Smashburger is a little burger joint nestled right off Broadway in Fells Point. If you’re on foot their location is pretty sweet. Remember that scene in Pulp Fiction where Jules says«MMMM, this IS a tasty burger», right before he plugs that guy? Well now you have a place to get that tasty burger. They have a pretty big selection of burgers there. So many that you might be a little intimidated the first time you step up to the menu. I know that I was. If you are having difficulty picking something out I’d suggest the Classic Smash, or the BBQ, Bacon, and Cheddar. I mean bacon and cheese? What’s not to like. I actually got really lucky a few months back and was able to attend a Unilocal Elite event which means I got to try a little bit of every burger on their menu, so now I have a great idea of which burger to get. Even if you worked your way through their menu one burger at a time it would be a fun little experiment. Even after trying every burger on their menu not a single one was less than good, and most were great! Ironically enough, I got all this burger knowledge just a month or two before I stopped eating meat. So the have a black bean burger option and several salad options that I have started grabbing when I come by. Smashburger also makes it a point to get involved with their local community, so when you support them you’re supporting Baltimore. Give them a try. All of the heavy lifting has already been done for ya with this review.

I tried a lot of their burgers, and my favorite was the avocado club. The other flavors were OK, but not that interesting, I thought that the best part of the restaurant was the wide variety of drinks. There were lots of interesting drinks to choose from, both alcoholic and non. I liked the rosemary fries, and could have eaten plates of all the different sides available. Honestly, i would much rather go to the Shake shack in the inner harbor. Their burgers are better, and their drinks are just as interesting. The price point is slightly higher for shake shack, but I must say that smashburger is a poor alternative.

Awesome! Everything I hoped it would be. I never would have come here if not for their $ 5 off coupon blast. Not because of anything other than I typically don’t frequent chains. Thank god for those coupons! The service is incredible. I’ve been here three times and I’m always greeted as soon as I walk in. The burgers are awesome! Not overly salty… hush delicious. Prices aren’t bad at all either. I always get a loaded up burger(fried egg, bacon, avocado) and I struggle to hit the $ 12 minimum to use my coupon even with a drink and a side. The fries were awesome. You have to like rosemary but if you do you’ll love them. And try the Smash Sauce. So tasty. Not sure exactly what it is but I know it has relish in it and I love it.

As much as I enjoy reading Unilocal reviews, I lament the dichotomy of 1– and 5– star reviews for the same place. How can two people have such opposite experiences? I understand that sometimes a restaurant(or a reviewer) is just having a bad day, but Jeez. With my head spinning from pre-visit review confusion, we went to Smashburger today for the first time. I had the classic Smashburger and my wife had a Grilled Chicken Salad. We also got the Smash Fries, which as noted by others are shoestring fries with olive oil and rosemary. The food was very good. The burger was perfectly cooked, tricked out with sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles, nicely seasoned and very tasty. The salad was huge, well-dressed and very fresh. The fries were excellent, crispy and hot, with just the right amount of rosemary. The service was friendly and efficient. Our food was out within a couple of minutes of us sitting down. The space was very«chainy», but nice and clean and classic. For some reason, the track lights running down one of the back walls were strobing, creating a mild disco effect that I do not recommend for anyone subject to seizures. It’s probably just a loose connection, but somebody should climb up there and fix it. Overall, the experience is far better than fast food for only a bit more money. Our meal was about $ 10 per person, which was very fair for the quality and quantity provided. I honestly hope these folks survive. The location, while in the heart of Fells Point, is less than ideal for drawing the business lunch crowd. But the product and service are good, so here’s hoping that people give these guys a shot.

I heard great things from my wife about this place so I decided to try it out. I’m glad I did! The cashier was very friendly and helpful in recommending options. It looks like they have a new specialty burger each month, so I chose the Chicago«Windy City» burger. It was really good. I would definitely order it again. I’m going to order the BBQ bacon burger the next time around. The smash burger fries and Oreo milkshake were really good as well. This is a solid burger joint. No complaints here. I’ll definitely be back.

I fear the day I ‘m down Fells Point and yearn for a juicy burger, because the new Smashburger will become the death of me. OMG they have so many variations that I had a chance to try at «Yelp’s Summer Smash at Smashburger.» This was my very first Unilocal Elite event. I’m in love with the taste and the 24hr food comma that followed after. lol. Although I do have to admit, by the third burger sample I had to start pulling the bread off. They were cut and served in quadrants, but that’s sill A LOT of burger and I wasn’t ready [[in my Kevin Hart voice]]. The Regional Burger infused with TIGERSAUCE roars! Spicy but totally not a fireball of over-seasoned meat. It reminds you of a grilled pit beef sandwich. Nice to have a Maryland themed food w/out Old Bay for once. The BBQ, Bacon & Cheddar Burger is my favorite! It has savory haystack onions smashed inside with a tangy sauce. I’m a major fan! My favorite runner up is the Truffle Mushroom Swiss Burger but honestly I adore most mushroom Swiss burger combos. Smashburger may motivate me to broaden my horizons since they did an ok job with this one. The Classic Smash Burger reminds you of a beefy Whopper. Add cheddar for some good olé American fun. Very BBQ nostalgic. We tried SEVEN burgers all together, but I decided not to rate the chicken samples. I loved hearing how they prepare the entrees, but I can frankly make a chicken burger at home. I can’t hook up an over the top supreme burger like the Fells Point Smashburger crew. Bravo! Oh by the way, the salad they brought out for us was HUGE! I’m not trying to tell them to up the prices, but that’s a lot of salad for $ 6. Plus there’s practically everything on this thing. Even a fried egg!

Let me start off by saying if you haven’t been here yet, you need to go ASAP. I’d been a frequent customer of Smashburger back when I lived in Colorado and was ecstatic when I found out they were opening up in Fell’s. Both times I’ve been here I got the classic Smashburger with a fried egg on top and a side of Smash fries. The fries are made with oil and rosemary and are absolutely amazing. The burger is incredibly tasty, and the egg bun(something I wouldn’t normally get, if I had the choice) compliments it perfectly. My girlfriend got the truffle Swiss burger and it was even better than the classic Smashburger… Something I have thought possible. We also split an Oreo shake and the combination of burger, fries, and shake could not have been any more perfect. I literally just got back home from dinner, and writing this review I’m getting hungry again! Although the food is certainly reason enough to go, I have to convey how impressed I was by the service at this place. The manager tonight(Kia) was one of the most genuinely courteous people I’ve ever met. She and the staff there went above and beyond to make me and the other customers there feel welcome and attended to. And on top of that, my food came out in less than five minutes! All in all, both times I’ve been here I’ve just been so impressed by the food and service that I had to do my part in trying to get more people through their door. Unfortunately, because they opened the week of the unrest back in April business seems like it has been kind of slow. Hope it picks up… They certainly deserve more customers!

I’m having trouble understanding this obsession with fast-food style burgers. Between Shake Shack, five guys, z-burger and this place — they are very similar. Granted, Smash burger is probably one of the better ones — its still not a great burger. The bread is just okay. The toppings are fresh and creative. The burger is a pressed fast food burger, though higher quality than mcdonalds, and won’t make you feel sick afterwards — don’t expect gourmet. The shakes were twice the size of Shake Shack — but were not as a rich, though still tasty. The smash fries were what really shined. The problem is — for a mediocre burger, with better than average fries and pretty good toppings — you’re really paying for it. There aren’t combo deals, and the burgers are small — so expect to pay 5 – 8 for a burger, 2 bucks for a soda, and 2.29 for fries — meaning, the least is 10 bucks for a light lunch, with the larger burger closer to $ 13. Not really a great lunch trip, and not good enough for a splurge. Compare this to Gordon Biersche(a quarter mile away) — where you can get a large fresh real burger for 10.75 with fries, and a soda for another 2.50. Same price, world of difference in quality. So — three stars, instead of two, goes to the fact that the milkshake is really descent, and not absurdly priced considering the size.

Decent burger. Sweet potatoe fries are very good. Points off for not offering Heinz ketchup – the house brand is too sweet. Why offer Heinz mustard and not Heinz ketchup?

I heard a lot about smashburger, so I was eager to try it. I found it to be a pretty good burger. Not to greasy, good flavor and fresh ingredients. I also like the thin cut fries. Also have a decent selection of shakes.

Meh — can’t say I was too impressed. My avocado bacon burger was nothing special, and the fries were pretty bland. If you just want carry out go to Hungry Andy’s across the street instead, it’s a lot smaller but the food in much better and cheaper.

My coworkers and I originally planned on going to another restaurant across the street, but changed our minds when we saw that this one was finally open. We were greeted by an associate on the street, who gave us menus and opened the doors for us. I ordered an Avocado Club chicken sandwich, which comes grilled or crispy. The woman behind the counter recommended the grilled chicken, so I ordered that, along with regular fries. The total was a little under $ 10. The burger and the fries were good. The sandwich was a little awkward to eat because the chicken was a lot bigger than the burger buns. I would’ve liked just a little bit more seasoning on my chicken. But, I was hungry so I finished them all. Later, I found out that they combined for a little over 1,000 calories. Oops. Anyway, be sure to check that the cup they give isn’t cracked. I asked for a cup of water and noticed that the cup was leaking as I was walking to our table. I asked for a new one and cleaned up the spilled water by our table.

Went here with a few co-workers for lunch and I think everyone was pleased. Service was quick and everyone liked what they ordered. I personally decided to try the original Smashburger and the regular fries since it was my first trip ever to a Smashburger. I like shoestring fries so that was a plus for me. It did taste like there was some mustard in the smashburger sauce on my burger, which I would have preferred to know in advance. Otherwise, I was pretty happy with everything! It’s your standard fast-casual establishment. Next time I’ll need to try a shake!
