Been closed for the past two months… I am really said they closed their doors, for I really enjoyed their food. I had the pleasure of trying every single roll on this menu, and although the some sushi was not the best, everything was generally pretty good with some favorites here and there.

I ordered lunch through (first time user) from Sushi Ninja yesterday. Their expected delivery time was over an hour, I had to contact to see if I could cancel. However, they must really overestimate their delivery times, which is why I did not give 5 stars. The order arrived in just about 20 minutes after I had placed it. It was tasty, and I enjoyed it!

Pros: + Good quality food + Located close to Johns Hopkins hospital Cons: — Price to quantity ratio was somewhat high — Some orders were forgotten Came here for lunch with my fiancée on a Saturday around 11:30. We were the only customers inside at the time. The shop itself is small and cozy, with cute décor on the windows and walls. We ordered edamame($ 4), gyoza($ 5), and chirashi sushi bowl($ 16) which comes with miso soup and we replaced the house salad with seaweed salad for an additional $ 2. The seaweed salad was tasty, though maybe a little heavy on the sesame oil, and the miso soup was good. The edamame was very lightly salted, but nothing special, although the serving size was generous. The chirashi sushi had 3 thin slices each of 5 types of sashimi(salmon, tuna, yellowtail, mackerel, and another that I couldn’t identify) and a few thin slices of cucumber, in addition to the rice. The rice was sweet, sticky, and well-seasoned. The sashimi slices were quite thin, but fresh and tasty. The server had forgotten our edamame order at first until we reminded him. We never got our gyoza order, but at least they took it off our bill when we brought it up. I thought this was strange since pretty much half of our order was forgotten and we were the only customers in the shop for a while(and then there were at most 2 more customers who stopped by during our meal). Overall, I think the location near JHU hospital is nice, and they do have a cute name and decorations, and the quality of the food was fine, but I don’t feel like I got enough bang for my buck.

I stopped in here on a recent trip to Johns Hopkins. It’s a good location that’s walking distance to the hospital. When we came in, we were friendly greeted by the waiter who promptly arranged a table to seat us. The service gets 5 stars, but the food, which is why I come to restaurants, gets 3 stars. The 5 gyozas were small but tasty and the dipping sauce was excellent! When we finished the gyoza, I poured the sauce all over the lettuce and it made a great salad :) The sushi is hit or miss. If you get the standard rolls that are 5 $ each, you’ll be impressed! The serving size is good and the quality of ingredients is great too. The samurai roll is a decent portion size and was very delicious. The terp and Alex rolls were much too sweet. I’m a firm believer that good sushi brings out the fish. These two dishes did not do that. Overall, mediocre special sushi rolls that are overpriced. The regular rolls are great though, as well as the service!

Ordered delivery online and it came one hour after(I’m less than 2 miles from the restaurant). Free delivery so I still think it’s worth it! The spicy salmon roll wasn’t very spicy but otherwise everything was as I expected. I ordered the lunch special of one Maki roll and a California roll. Those plus(a generous portion of) miso soup and 5 or 6 gyoza all came to less than $ 20. Good value! The specials(broiled salmon bowl, etc.) aren’t available on their Eat24 menu. The only complaint I have is that the hot soup and gyoza containers were kept in the same bag as the sushi rolls on their way over from the restaurant, so when they got to me the rolls were almost room temperature. I’ll have to specify next time to keep them separate or risk warm sushi. No one wants warm sushi!

So far I have only ordered deliver. But it is always fresh, well presented and always on time. Their prices are(pretty) reasonable as well.

Fantastic! A tiny little joint in an unassuming building, but it’s a winner, for sure. I had some unagi(a favorite) and it was $ 4 for two pieces. Not a bad price! The pieces of fish were good quality and an average size. The well-crafted nigiri was exactly what I wanted. And the plating was nifty. Plenty of sushi places will just bring you some fish and rice on a plate, but here they went above and beyond and put a little design on the plate with the eel sauce. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant itself was spotless and decorated in a modern, but cute and bright fashion. The whole thing is just very inviting. Overall, a good experience and you should go if you’re in the area.

I went to Sushi Ninja for a late lunch today and it was just what I needed. The restaurant has the most wonderful, bright décor and everything was spotless. I love the adorable cartoon ninjas drawn on the walls. I ordered a miso soup and tune avocado sushi. The soup was not too salty and had the perfect amount of tofu and seaweed in it. The sushi contained a good cut of fish and plenty of avocado. They also have japanese aloe and soda! I will be coming back as soon as possible to try a lunch special.

FOOD: Good, cold(I got delivery), fresh sashimi with good portions. The quality is surprisingly high for a small sushi place in Baltimore. I got the sashimi platter. There was plenty of fish for the price. The salmon sushi roll I got was not full of rice(yay!) which is a pet peeve of mine. There was a side salad and miso soup that accompanied the sashimi platter which was pretty standard. Overall, I was impressed by the quality, quantity, and freshness of my order. SERVICE: I ordered delivery on a standard Saturday afternoon at around 12:30 via EAT24. The food arrived on time and cold. I was worried with sushi delivery that the latter would be an issue, but it was not. REORDER: YES! RECOMMEND: YES, at least for delivery. I have not been to the actual restaurant.

This is the best kept secret near Johns Hopkins. The inside is so cute and modern. The food is awesome! Go during the lunch hour for specials. I had the California roll and the Tempura shrimp maki roll, which was delicious. I also had some seaweed salad which was good! Overall this place is awesome, customer service was good very attentive! You do have to wait a bit for your sushi but it’s worth it!

Sushi Ninja was formally ABC sushi located across from Wells Fargo near Johns Hopkins. The exterior hides this little sushi treasure where once inside you are welcomed to a vibrantly decorated ceiling and homey chalk drawings. With this place just getting its feet wet, the menu is chalked up on the board from where you order and a little patience is worth it for some of the most unique sushi offerings in Baltimore. You won’t find the«Insane Jane Roll(named after one of the vibrant co-owners)» anywhere else and the only thing we know for sure about the roll is that it packs heat. Another feature of their menu is the Old Bay edamame which gives this place that perfect Baltimore charm. Also, you cannot leave there without trying their Baltimore roll and I highly recommend their Clark roll. On Saturdays they run a Facebook special giving you 20% off(check their website) and reduced pricing on certain classics. So overall everything is tailored to a warm Baltimore feel and the hostesses are beautiful and welcoming as well. With the menu being reasonably priced this place is an absolute bargain(and true Baltimorians love a good deal).
