Really great atmosphere, service was friendly and very helpful, food is fantastic! Also, some of the best bubble tea and ramen I have ever had.

Very spacious interior, two floors with two separate entrances, nice wooden and bamboo décor, I couldn’t imagine they only serve ramen here, the menu is to the point, covers the classic ramen house dishes as well as some creative house-made appetitizers. I got the shio ramen like I normally do, that chasyu is like a piece of steak, yummy! The ramen noodles were cooked well, not too overcooked, the broth could be better. I also saw the udon noodles presented in a white bowl that’s very pretty. Their tea smelled very nice. The staff and the manager wete excellent!

Since there’s not many choices of Ramen restaurants around Baltimore, this one is okay. But I’ve tasted way better ones like Terakawa Ramen in Chinatown PA and Ramen Kumamoto in Newark, DE. And if you happen to go to Vegas, there’s Monta Ramen on Spring Mountain Rd. If you’ve tasted any of those 3, you’d know what I’m talking about.

TenTen Ramen is a great place for a rejuvenating meal on a cold, rainy day. My first time here I was pretty impressed. I have to admit, I’ve had a lot of great, authentic ramen in my day so I can be pretty snobby about this particular bowl of soup. But this broth was definitely on point. The spicy miso was super tasty and just the right amount of creamy and savory. The topping options were also pretty good. My one major complaint: the char siu(pork) was not great. The pieces of pork I’ve tried here were all too chewy and tough and not at all tender like it should be. The restaurant set-up is also a little confusing. There are a bunch of tables and also bar seating available. The host will seat you at your preferred location, give you a menu, then when you are ready to order you walk up to the window at the back of the restaurant and order and pay there. Your food will then be brought out to your table based on the number you were given. A little unconventional but seems to work. Japanese beer and sake options available!

One star review. Two stars for effort. I wasn’t impressed… I came here for good ramen, but it tasted just like beef oodles and noodles. I could have saved the $ 22 dollars and bought a lifetimes worth of oodles. I don’t think TENTEN is very authentic with the taste. It lacked original flavor and leaves you with the hint of cheap beef flavored ramen from your local grocery store.

There’s nothing worse than leaving a party hungry, but when the food runs out early and the guests are rude, it’s time to call it a night. On the way back to the car, in a cold drizzle, we passed TenTen. .. and the thought of a steaming bowl of noodles was just too delicious to pass up. It turned out to be the best decision of the whole evening! I’ve never been to Japan, but the feel inside TenTen is very much what I imagine an authentic ramen shop would be like — or at least what it looks like in Japanese movies — spare décor, with exposed brick walls, glass and steel pendant lights, and a concave wooden ceiling over the bar. We sat at a high table, took off our damp coats and perused the menu, then placed an order at the bar(managers everywhere, take note: I am always happy to do this in lieu of leaving a tip!) The food was excellent. There’s a generous portion of delicious, flavorful broth and filling noodles, and the garnishes provide a pleasing contrast both visually and texturally. I am puzzled at all the comments about pricing, since I am usually the first one to complain about that aspect of the meal, but the average price of $ 12 per bowl seems very reasonable for a downtown dinner. I can see how the price would add up if you piled on extras, but I ordered the most basic option(Shio, $ 10) and thought it was fantastic! In fact, I appreciated the notes on the menu that forbade substitutions — good for them for sticking to their guns. If I thought I knew more than them about how to make a great bowl of ramen, I’d open a shop of my own. My husband ordered the braised beef ramen with spicy beef broth and greens, and when I tasted his I envied the heat, although I preferred the smooth saltiness of the pork broth. So I asked our server if there was any hot sauce. He brought me a shaker of spicy pepper flakes that was perfect. Other than that, no seasoning adjustment needed — again, if you know me, that’s kind of amazing. We drank cold Japanese beer and sipped our delicious steaming soup and before you knew it, the ugly beginnings of our evening had faded into pale memories. TenTen saved our night, and we can’t thank it enough!

I have mixed feelings about this place. I like the ambiance of the main room upstairs. The few offerings of Japanese and Asian treats/drinks adds to the appeal. The lower level where the bathroom are located are pretty janky and smell like stale fish. I was immediately turned off as soon as I went to use the restrooms. You’re seated by the hostess/server and they give you a number for your table. You order cafeteria style at the ordering station so if it’s busy and you’re especially hungry or on the verge of hangry I would suggest to stand in line and choose your meal while you’re waiting. I like sitting at the bar because you can order sake from the person behind the counter. Not an extensive beer/sake list but well enough to have some decent choices. I decided to go out on a limb and order something I’ve never had before which I’m always hesitant to do but the takoyaki which is basically batter fried octopus with«takoyaki sauce» and bonito flakes on top. I used to work in a sushi restaurant and I love both tako(octopus) and bonito flakes(they move when near heat) so I thought why not? The fried tako wasn’t hot enough so the bonito flakes didn’t move which was disappointing but the amount of tako was so minimal inside the batter that I could barely taste it in the midst of the overpowering sauce. The sauce tasted like extra salty teriyaki and a warning to all you texture folks out there. it’s very slimy when you bite into it an though I personally didn’t mind that part. Let’s get to the main course.ramen. I chose the akai oni ramen on my most recent visit which they warn you is super spicy but I was in the mood to try it. It delivered on the spicy(I only used about half of the spicy paste) but fell a tad short everywhere else. I asked about the meat in the ramen and the waiter explained that they started serving the ramen with pork shoulder because it has«less fat» than pork belly. Lol, we all know that the real reason is because it’s cheap. I mean, who doesn’t love pork belly in their ramen. It’s tender and tasty and known for its superb flavor. Anyhow, the worst part was the indistinguishable crunchy piece of slime that I had to spit out while slurping down some noodles. Although these things won’t keep me away due to the scarcity of ramen in Baltimore. I won’t ever order this particular ramen again. Stick to the spicy miso or the tan tan and wash it down with some chilled oolong tea if you’d like or my personal fave ramune(Japanese soda)!

I was on a Ramen craze for a while and insisted on hitting up many ramen«near» my area. I would say this one quickly became my favorite in Baltimore. They recently updated their menu but luckily the TANTANMEN is still on there and it is a solid bowl of ramen. Get an order of GUOTIE(aka pork dumplings) along with your Ramen order and I promise you will be leave with a happy belly.

So when I am craving Ramen, this is where I go. The broth is very flavorful, always. If you like a little kick, ask for their spicy chili oil mix. It puts ramen on another level. It’s sucks they charge about $.75 for their spicy stuff(yes, they gonna get rick on it), but oh well. Everything else is good about this place.

I have been craving ramen forever and ever and finally went to tenten because I was working in Baltimore. I had been stalking it on Unilocal for a while and new exactly what to get. Spicy miso ramen! I’m a little ramen spoiled because my grandmother is Japanese and makes the best, but I don’t think I’m being too hard on tenten. I walked in and was pleasantly greeted by the staff. Like some other Unilocalers said you sit down with a menu then order at the register. I got the spicy miso ramen: came out pretty quickly. Broth was salty and lacked a deep flavor… And that’s coming from someone that puts salt on pizza and Chinese food… So yea. The pork was cold… The egg was overcooked. I was so disappointed! The only reason for the two stars was the customer service and the noodles were perfect texture. They had various versions, I heard maybe those are better than the miso. Also, they had a board of specials that looked pretty tempting. I would maybe come back to tenten to try the specials, but only if I was like right next to it. I’m so sorry tenten I had such high hopes!

I have popped in here for lunch several times. I have enjoyed the cool salads in summer and the steaming ramen in the fall. Fast and friendly service and consistently good food.

Ate here yesterday with my husband for lunch because the Unilocal pictures looked amazing. Their concept is pretty cool, you come in and get greeted by a host and he hands you a menu and a table number. You go up to order and tell the cashier what your table number is then they will bring the food out to you. We both got the Shoyu spicy ramen and were a bit confused because at the top it said it included everything we wanted it to include like any other ramen. We were missing corn and they said we had to pay extra for it but we said no it’s ok. The broth was very good! It’s hard to find ramen places with their broth being on point because other places throw a bunch of stuff in but you have to have a good base. Will definitely come back when I’m around the area again.

I’ve been here a couple times to try the spicy pork belly ramen, karaage, and bubble tea. First of all, I love their selection! I’m really happy there is a place in Baltimore City(and really close to me) that serves some of my favorite food. I really enjoyed the karaage — just the right amount of spicy and filled with flavor. Since it’s fried, it can act as a meal in itself! It’s quite filling, so keep that in mind if ordering it as an appetizer or «side dish.» The ramen was also deliciously spicy and the pork belly tasted amazing with the noodles. The whole dish was ridiculously salty, but I almost feel like that is to be somewhat expected with ramen(especially if drinking broth as well), so the whole dish was extremely filling. Next time I would take half of it to-go. Bubble tea was alright — but prices are outrageous! Speaking of prices, I was charged for a side of spicy sauce for 50 cents… However there is a $ 6 minimum for credit cards and I never carry cash — and customers must pay before being served, so luckily they just let me have the spicy sauce. That whole model is new to me and honestly really inconvenient because I’m sure others like to add items on to the meal as well while they’re sitting and dining — and having to pull out loose coins and wads of cash while eating is super annoying. Either charge the meal at the end or get rid of the credit card minimum rule — which I’m pretty sure is illegal anyways!

I ordered the Champon. Although there is many shrimps in there, the soup is not I would like. My friends ordered the Shio and chop Chashumen I think it’s much better than mine. But it truly worth visiting again to taste other kind of Ramen.

Wow! I wasn’t sure about this place. I figured it’d be decent — it was cute, in an area it wouldn’t survive if it wasn’t good, and it seemed to have a decent score on here. I just wondered how far they could go with a theme. Turns out that the ramen part of their name is really minimal. They have a few noodle dishes, and a lot of other Asian dishes. I got the chicken teriyaki — the promise of sesame seeds in the rice intrigued me. My partner in(food) crime got the ginger scallions. Both of these dishes were absolutely magnificent. A friend that was with us got some sort of actual noodle dish, and she enjoyed that as well. Staff were super friendly and welcoming! Décor was adorable… It looked inviting and cute. The lighting was just right! Seating was comfortable! I can’t say anything bad about this place!

This was only my second time having ramen, but I was very pleasantly surprised with the flavor. Tried the spicy miso, and loved all the«toppings» it came with. We also had a side of dumplings, similar to potstickers. Decent, but dipping sauce was the highlight. Ambiance and décor was alright. This is an «order at the window and we’ll serve it to you» kind of place. There was an empty sushi bar, and seating was a little tight. I’ll definitely come back.

3.5 stars. Probably been here half a dozen times. Got both take out and dined in. Always have gotten some form of ramen. The ramen is often on the salty side, but it is probably on par or better than any ramen you can get in Baltimore. I recommend the miso ramen, spicy, out of their 3 standard ramen options.

I’ve tried everything –but– the ramen, which is perhaps why this review is only coming in at two stars, but I just can’t, in good conscience, dole out any more. On an ongoing quest to find good boba in Baltimore, I searched on Unilocal and found this place. The boba is crafted at the bar, which is kinda neat, but the tapioca balls are quite saccharine, and the tea itself… well, let’s just say I’m glad I went with«lightly sweetened,» because had I not, it would have been diabetes in a cup. Oh, well. You can’t win ‘em all. The ambiance was very chic, though, and they kept trying to sell us on the downstairs«sake bar,» so we figured we’d give that a whirl sometime. So, we did. During happy hour, thank goodness, otherwise I would have keeled over from the bill. It’s a izakaya-style(Japanese small plates) menu downstairs, and the food was good, but oh-so-minuscule, and still quite pricey for what we got(4 – 7 pm: food and sake are half off). $ 1.50 for a sliver of roasted bell pepper!!! Methinks never again will we order that. The sake selection was pretty decent, though, and I could see the potential. Maybe next time I’ll come back for the ramen. Hopefully it’ll be better than the boba upstairs and the tiiiiiiiiiny plates downstairs.

Colleagues & I ate lunch here today, which was the perfect meal for a chilly rainy day! None of us had ever had Ramen before, but we were excited to try it! The ordering process wasn’t super clear — we sat at our table for a while before calling someone over, asking her to help us decipher the menu, and then she told us you order & pay at the little«window». Food came out super quick & was delicious! I’m not sure how you are really supposed to eat it, with the chopsticks & the miso-soup-spoon they gave me(newbie here, sorry!) but I ended up asking for a fork, and could have used a knife to cut up the bigger pieces of meat & longer noodle strands. I got the braised beef which was really good and Guo tie(dumplings) which were excellent! Others got the seaweed salad, gyu don(excellent), wantan mein(excellent), and tan tan mein(ok). Portions were large, and I had enough to take home for a second meal. Bathrooms are in the basement, which has additional seating, including a couch. There also appeared to be a small private room, large enough for 15 – 20 people?

I’ve actually got here twice now, and this review is more pointed towards the second visit than the first. The first time I went to TenTen was last summer, when I believe it had just opened. It was a pretty disappointing experience with not enough tables and space. I had the Katsu Curry which was not crispy enough. My sister had the Chasu Don and was not a fan of it. Coming from Southern California, she was pretty disappointed in the food. I recently went to TenTen again, and I was pleasantly surprised! I had the daily special ramen(written on the board) and my friend had the Miso Ramen(off the menu). My ramen was really really good. The broth was delicious. The pork belly and bean sprouts were a great match. His ramen… not so much. A little salty, and not too much flavor. Actually, the flavor was a little bit similar to the instant ramen. His meat was also a little lacking. I’m giving this a 4 because I really enjoyed my ramen, but to be honest, it’s more like a 3.5. I’m struggling because I went them to survive since having a ramen place IN Baltimore is fantastic! I also think they have a lot of good items on the menu, it’s just a little bit more hit or miss. Take your time, and look at the options! It is very variable. They also recently opened up the bottom floor so the restaurant is much bigger as well as back dining room. I would strongly discourage anyone buying snacks here. The pockys, Japanese soda, and chips are really overpriced. You can very easily get those 50% or 75% cheaper at any Asian grocery store.(Lotte, H-mart, to name a few).

I need to take a couple stars away after my last visit here. It was my first time during dinner and it just seemed odd to be seated, presented with a menu and table number, and then directed to take self and said menu up to the register to order. Huh? It’s also odd that their menu is incomplete; you effectively need to go look at the chalkboard for the list of add-ins, look at the shelf behind the bar for beer options, and ask the cashier for the list of other The waiter proceed to drop off our order to another table to the point where they grabbed the utensils and had the bowls in from of them. Fairly quickly they realized it wasn’t their order and he turned around to see us, the only other two top and third total seated table, and brought our food and the same utensils over. Really? Plus, what is the point of table numbers if the staff isn’t going to pay attention to them? I know other reviews have warned against the bao not being worth the money and I completely agree. I can’t remember, but I don’t even think David Chang charges that for his far superior buns. Plus, saucing a plate and then putting the buns on top means fingers unnecessarily coated in stickiness. I opted for the spicy miso this time around and I get why people comment on the oiliness. I do still think the noodles themselves are wonderful. Overall it’s a better bowl of ramen than Ejji but there are inconsistencies in execution. P. S. The gnats that some people have mentioned in reviews are no joke. Will someone please get on that? Thanks.

Really sad to do this to tenten but I have to take a star away. I asked my brother to pick up my usual order and two thai iced teas. I was highly disappointed in this because I was super excited to drink it. It was literally the worst thai tea I have ever tried in my life. It basically had no taste. It smelled like thai tea but it tasted like water. And because this was a take out order, I had no desire to have my brother drive back and ask for new drinks. It’s just annoying because its a waste of time and money.

So friends and fam like to call me a foodie. But I really can’t call myself a foodie. I couldn’t knowledgeably tell you the difference between the noodles from one ramen spot to the other as my cousin can. Apparently, there are different noodles from one area of Japan to the other. BUT… I can tell YOU… what satisfies this girl’s taste buds and why! I am a BIG Fan of two of the things I’ve had so far: the Spicy Tonkatsu and their Fried Rice. The Spicy Tonkatsu: I can tell you isn’t very spicy. But the broth is flavorful and creamy. I like this flavor of broth over Miso or Shoyu. The noodles are cooked just as I like it, not overdone and just enough for me to be able to say it’s «al dente»(give me a break I know this isn’t italian). I CRAVE this whenever I’m out here visiting. The Fried Rice: you generally won’t catch me ordering this as my meal. BUT can’t hurt to steal some when a friend orders it as hers! And now I find myself drooling about it! It bursts with flavor! I’ve had a couple other things like their Gwa Bao(pork belly buns) and their Gyu Don(Beef and Onion over rice). Both okay dishes. You wouldn’t catch me ordering these again but I wouldn’t turn it away if it so happens to land on my free ninety nine plate. ;) Place has very nice service and is very clean. Watch out going to the bathroom downstairs. It’s a little creepy and dark. But other than that, this place is a keeper!
