Visiting from NorCal and made a reservation here last night(6⁄24). Walked in and were immediately greeted by name by the attentive waitstaff. Seated right away and wine order was taken. Great recommendations by staff. The wine was great(Syrah on special), appetizer(Artisan Cheese Plate) was fantastic, and mine and my wife’s entrees were wonderful. The capper for us was talking with the owner and the welcoming atmosphere he projected. Couldn’t be happier with the whole experience.

Upscale restaurant in old town Bandon. The meal and service were both quite good. Recommend for adults, maybe not so kid friendly.

Loved the food but could not believe awful policy not to give separate checks for our group of 12. The chef came to our table to explain the delightful menu. I had the wild scallops, which were delicious as was the rabbit soup for a starter. I think the wine list was very good but a little overpriced – nothing under $ 40. My wife and I shared a nice bottle of Chalk Hill chard for $ 70, but I’ve had the same wine for $ 30 less at a nice Brookings restaurant. We called ahead and discovered the corking fee would be $ 25. The great dining experience was ruined by the delivery of a single check with the 22% service fee. Sorting out the check was a disaster that took forever and left me disgusted. For 22%, I expect the service of preparation of checks for individual couples. We did Lord Bennett’s the night before and they had no problem with separate bills. I would eat at Alloro again but not with a group.

We stayed in Bandon on an April Monday night. Most restaurants were closed. Thank heavens they were because we discovered Alloro’s! The food was delicious, presentation outstanding, and the server delightful. Highly recommend this restaurant to all. It is a small venue so be sure to make a reservation. You won’t be disappointed!

We visited Alloro for dinner tonight. The experience was a little lacking, but that was our fault for going to a wine bar and not ordering wine. The service was excellent the food was good, but I think prices were a little high. We had the ribeye and the fish of the day. There was lots of fish, but not enough veggies to go with it. I also had the tiramisu, it was good but needed more of an espresso flavor. Overall it was good, but not great.

Excellent dinner for all four of us. Add to that a wonderful wait staff, enjoyable conversation with the owners and you have a 5 star meal and experience. Can’t wait to be back in the area to visit again!

Brought my eight-year-old grandson for dinner on his birthday and the restaurant couldn’t have been more accommodating. My grandson has gluten and dairy allergies and they adjusted a pasta dish on their menu especially for him. They also treated him to a sorbet dessert with a lit birthday candle and even sang Happy Birthday to him, much to his delight. We had eaten here earlier in the week, and my grandson said he wanted to have his birthday dinner here when given the choice of any restaurant in town!

Very friendly staff. Very good food. Today we had brunch there for the second time, and both times, we really enjoyed it… to the point of «licking my plate clean!» Not only is the food delicious, but the presentation is very nice.

Why 2 stars instead of 3? Well, we ate there on V-day 2016. We made reservations way in advance. It was when the owner, Dave, who made our reservations, seated us, knowing we had reservations, came and inquired 15 minutes later, if we had reservations. What?! Very strange. Very unwelcoming. I’m not giving it two stars just for the rudeness, but for the food. We had a very large bill for two people and the lasagna came out no bigger than two bites for a main course and was as dried out and crusty,(not in the good way). My steak came out medium well, not medium rare. They did fix this, and the steak was decent but nothing amazing for the price we were paying. Not a fan. Generally I would try a place twice because everyone has a bad night, not this one! Go to the other places in town, where they are friendly to you and the food is amazing!

Rude, rude, rude! Although staff was at the door when my husband and I arrived for brunch on Valentine’s Day, they allowed us to stand there long enough to notice there was no sign saying ‘please wait to be seated’ or ‘seat yourself.’ There were many tables available and as we started to seat ourselves, another staff member came running at us yelling and shaking his hands, ‘do you have a reservation?!’ The very few people in the restaurant all turned to look at us like we were robbing the place. Needless to say, we do not plan on returning.

We ate at Alloro last week and had a great dinner. Had an excellent salad followed by the pork tenderloin special. Pesto crusted pork, medium rare, was tasty and very tender. We first discovered this place in 2014 and were a bit nervous when we heard it had changed ownership. No problem — it was just as we remembered. Service was good, too.

A great little place! Took my parents there for brunch for their wedding anniversary. The food was excellent! The rosemary French toast was a new twist on an old favorite. Amazing service as well-from the server to the busser. I am looking forward to coming back to try dinner. Highly recommend!

David, the owner served me and it was a great experience! I went on a Monday night and the place was packed with locals, quite an achievement for a small town restaurant not during tourist season. I had the caesar salad and ribeye. Both were amazing, the ribeye was perfectly cooked. I’ll definitely stop here again next time I’m in Bandon.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. It was recommended to our party of seven while on a recent stay in Bandon, Oregon. David, one of the owners, made sure to send me a detailed menu by email prior to our arrival as their website was down. He even checked with me to make sure I received it. The food was really wonderful. Many of us had the Halibut cheeks. Some of the best & biggest I have ever had. Every dish was prepared to perfection & Natalie was fabulous as our server. We can’t wait to come back!

Ambrosia… Do not miss eating here while in Bandon. The best crab soup I ever ate in my life. We met patrons who were here last night that came back tonight for another helping. Elegant meals with exceptional quality. Fresh and artfully prepared. We also enjoyed the loft down the street. Two best eats in Bandon by the Sea.

Service started was good but then went to terrible. We ordered 2 glasses of wine, zucchini blossoms and later split a Ceasar salad. Once we ordered our main entrées our waitress disappeared. I waited about 15 minutes to get a 2nd glass of wine. Once we got our main entrees she never came back, our water and wine glasses were empty the whole dinner service. It’s a shame because my husband and I really enjoyed our meals but spending over $ 100 and being treated poorly is just not right. We would of loved to finish off with Gelato and port but why give them any more money. We tipped the chef $ 40 but not the waitress. Unfortunately we will not return because we told the owner and he was but the food was good right? He had no concern about the poor service.

Overall, the meal was probaby okay. The ceasar salad was pretty mediocre — something just wasn’t right about it. Before I ordered it, I asked if I could have some actual anchovies, and not to be shy about it.(I know some chefs or waitresses don’t like anchovies, so I asked for as many as they could spare.) Well, they put two stale little strips on the top of the lettuce, and when the bill came I was surprised to see that I was charged 50 cents per anchovy strip. Cmon guys, that’s a small, $ 10.00 salad that was mediocre, at best, to begin with. I suppose the higher than average price is to discourage anyone from ordering it in the first place? I don’t mind paying more for a well prepared meal, but it should be better than what you get for half the price somewhere else, like a sizzler steakhouse. You could tell the waitress what you wanted, but couldn’t quite get it right. An Arnold Palmer heavy on the tea comes back 50% lemonade, way too sweet. And an attitude is what I get when I send it back and ask for just plain ice tea. On the plus side, the seafood, the Cacciucco, was very good although small portions again. Obviously the chef knew what he was doing here. And the bread was good, but again, chintzy with portions. For an $ 80.00 bill, you can’t throw in an extra slice of bread? Or an anchovy? Sheesh. I was going to give it three stars for«average», but the pop-ups said three stars was«A-ok». Well, I didn’t think it was. More accurate was two stars«I’ve had better».

Best get a reservation if you want to be sure to be served. Luckily someone had cancelled just before we called late one evening so we were able to enjoy the fare at this upscale Italian eatery. After sharing a perfect Caesar salad, we went our own ways on the entrees. My pasta with a tomato based Dungeness crab sauce was so good as was his spaghetti with marinara. Simple and well done. We shared a couple scoops of a vanilla and raspberry gelato — yum! Excellent bread was served with a fine olive oil. The restaurant was filled with locals, always a good sign. With so many great restaurants in Bandon, this is one we would be happy to revisit.
