Perfect place for a quick picnic stop. It’s just a few minutes from Hwy 101. There’s a clean restroom with flushing toilets, waste bins, and relatively clean picnic tables with a stunning view. There’s a short paved trail around the park and stairs to the beach if you want to stretch your legs a bit.

Face Rock amazingly has the silhouette of person’s head reclining in the ocean looking skyward! You have to be standing south of the flat topped rock that sits between Face Rock and the beach to see her facial outline. Great beach, tide pools, tall rocks jutting out of the ocean, very scenic on a sunny day. Informative signs and benches on short, paved trail along top of bluff, north, away from the parking area. 5 – 10 minute drive from Old Town Bandon tourist area.

Another Unilocaler reviewing Old Town Bandon had recommended checking out this viewpoint, and I’m sure glad we did! My husband and I walked the 2 miles from Old Town to the wayside and hit evening low tide perfectly! We walked from the overlook down to the beach, checked out the tide pool creatures, and with all the rock formations it felt like we were in another world! We actually got to walk the whole beach back to the jetty, and see the sunset, then it was just a short jaunt back into Old Town. I highly recommend doing that if you can hit low tide.
