Blame the consumer I didn’t even know what«Z-chains» were before visiting Sugar Mountain for our first family ski trip. The snow was moving in, so I stopped in to see what I needed to do. The gentleman(manager? Owner?) recommended I get the $ 138 Z-chains. I said«tell me everything i need to know.» He showed me how to install them, and sent me on my way with a smile. Of course, the next day when the snow was falling and I had to get to my rental cabin, I installed them exactly as instructed. Easier than expected. I made it about ¼ mile thru the snow before they broke. So, I called to see if they could deliver me new chains, but I was informed that I would have to buy a new set. I tried to explain what a short distance I had driven, but was told that it was my fault they were broken, and that they would not replace them. If I wanted new ones, I would have to pay again. There may be some way you are supposed to drive differently with«Z-chains.» I wouldn’t know,(I am from FL) and it was never explained to me by the seller of the non-guaranteed chains. So, I don’t know if it was deviousness or incompetence, but after spending that $ 138, their customer is stranded on the side of the road in the snow. Fool me once.

I made it down the mountain because of you. Actually, that would be twice now. The first time was years ago, and I didn’t feel comfortable writing a review based on something that old. But the second time was the beginning of January when we were snowed in at the mountain house. And if we didn’t make it down the mountain that day, then another snow storm was coming through and we would be stuck there for a week. I didn’t have enough diapers so this constituted an emergency. But we called, and you came. You had snow chains(cables) installed on my car within 2 hours of my call. Fast, reasonably priced, professional and nice. Thanks guys.
