I had the Crazy Mary roll and my boyfriend had the Volcano roll. He’s still new to sushi but has had a good amount in south Florida and he said this was the best sushi he has had. I also agree and I’ve been eating sushi for years! Also loved that they had a phở appetizer. Usually you have to get phở as your meal to get it, so this was nice to be able to have it as a starter! Also the Vietnamese iced coffee was delicious! Def worth trying! The place was also very peaceful. We came around 6, and it felt like a spa!

We went on Labor Day Sunday for dinner at about 6:30. When we arrived, there were only a handful of tables occupied. We walked in to no greeting. Finally a lady came around the corner and said«May I help you?» It had me wondering if we went in the right door.(red flag #1) We told her we would like to sit outside and she motioned to the door(she was wiping a table) and told us to go on out and pick a table — she’d be with us in a minute. We sat down outside and did not get menus until someone else had seated 2 or 3 other tables and finally we flagged someone down.(red flag #2) The waitress never looked at us in the eye. When she brought out an appetizer, she asked if that’s what we ordered. I ended up having to basically yell«yes» and take it from her.(red flag #3) She tried to get away without asking about drinks so that we had to request refills to her back. By the time our appetizer/soup/salad came, we had been there for roughly an hour. We had a 2 year old and a 6 year old with us, so we are already well past our patience line. When our food finally arrived(at the 90 minute mark), one dish had rice when there should have been noodles, but the waitress so clearly didn’t care and the kids were so hungry that I let it go. We needed another fork and extra napkins(2 kids and 90 min at a table will do that) and she never brought them. By this time, it’s dark outside and the restaurant had zero lights on out there. Other tables asked Ms. Friendly(server) about lights and she didn’t have a clue — never said she’d ask — just didn’t know and shrugged it off. She finally brought some napkins and not a fork. I had enough and had to yell to her back again about the fork. At this point, the manager, owner heard me and came over to apologize. I told her that the Ms. Friendly seemed to not only not care, but she was fairly hostile. By the time the food came, we were not really interested in eating. The shrimp in one of the kids’ dinner was so overcooked that I considered letting them try to bounce it, but tried to hold it together. We were told that Ms. Friendly was new and«nervous.» I appreciate the attempt at the apology and the manager/owner seemed nice as can be, but«nervous» didn’t begin to cover the way Ms. Friendly acted. Horrid service and insanely slow food, in the 2 hours we were there, I also had some other observations. The place could use a good cleaning. The large fish tank at the entrance was dirty. Green water greeting customers should have been red flag #1. Fix your soap and towel dispensers in the bathrooms. Schedule or hire a few more staff on weekends that the calendar tells you are going to be busy. This was not a surprise rush. If all else fails, at least have incompetent staff be friendly and apologetic about it. I can totally empathize with being new and nervous, but rude and indifferent — not so much. Sadly, the food seemed pretty good and authentic. Wish I could have enjoyed it.

I’ll start off by saying one reason I’m giving this 2 stars is because of the terrible slow service. We waited 45 mins to get our food. And this was on a very slow night with like 2 other tables filled. I ordered the shrimp and scallop with fried rice. The scallops were really great! The shrimp were OK, a little over cooked. The fried rice was not very good at all. Didn’t taste fresh. Thank God for shrimp sauce. The spring rolls were good. Probably won’t be back anytime soon. Meh.

May be the best Vietnamese Restuarant I’ve eaten at. Service is great as well as the food. I’ve ate at countless Vietnamese restaurants and this one is my favorite. I really like Japanese food and Vietnamese food but having them in the same Restuarant is really added bonus. The sauces they have here are far superior to any of the previous Vietnamese restaurants I’ve been too. I’m a big sauce guy and use them on everything I eat. One thing I really like is shrimp sauce and this a rarity where you can eat shrimp sauce with Vietnamese food. There is truly a large variety to cover anyone’s appetite or food selection in one stop. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Very good little restaurant! I was glad to eat at a local place in the midst of tourist central. We stopped by for a light dinner. We ordered the sampler app and two small bowls of soup(one chicken phở and one wonton soup). Both broths were really good. App had several crispy and tasty options. Smaller restaurant. Well worth a visit!

Let me start by saying my husband is Vietnamese so we know good Vietnamese food. Usually I know I’m in a good place when I hear him refer to something like his mother used to make. We came here for my birthday dinner and everything was amazing. The Papaya Salad — just order it — my god I want to go back for that alone. Every dish and drink we ordered was fantastic and fresh(no frozen veggies here folks). We had the Jasmine Tea, Vietnamese Ice Coffee, Summer Rolls, Pad Thai with the house special sauce instead of the Thai style peanut and the red curry chicken. We spent some time talking to the owner — they have been open in the same space since 2001 but had a different name — Tokyo Express — people kept telling her she should change the name so visitors to the area would know there was Vietnamese food on the menu as well as Japanese dishes. She just changed the name this year. We never would have tried it with the old name so good call on her part. Absolutely delicious and authentic Vietnamese food — and apparently a serious following with the locals and those in the know. You won’t regret dining here! Thank you for a wonderful birthday dinner! –The Keith-Le’s

I stopped in on a Friday night for what I thought was going to be an enjoyable evening. The menu looked fine so I gave it a shot. On this particular Friday night, the restaurant was having karaōke night, and not just any type of karaōke. It was all in foreign languages. A group of about ten sat and passed the microphone around for the entire duration of the meal. It was so loud that I couldn’t carry on conversation with my friend. I complained to the owner, but she didn’t care. Instead, she joined in on the singing. The food wasn’t very good either. The fried cheese rolls were out of a box, and the cheese to green onion ratio was 1:5. The sushi was bland and the phở wasn’t that good. I mean, how can you ruin phở? Not sure but they did it. Needless to say, I won’t be back.

With the restaurant located in a town not known for having many Asians, we weren’t expecting much for authenticity. The food however was surprisingly authentic and the service was pretty good considering how busy they were. We tried several different dishes and everyone was satisfied. Highly recommended.
