Service is a little slow but the sushi is the best in town for the price. The food is great and there is a lot to choose from. Don’t try to compare this place with big city Japanese food. It doesn’t compare, but for the area it is the best.

I went in with little expectation, and was impressed. Service was very good. Sushi was pretty good, and fish tasted fresh. Got miso soup, rice, edamame, huge sushi and sashimi platter, and 4 spring rolls for $ 50! Prices were really good. And they took American Express, which I soon learned was a rarity in Banner Elk. I’d go back!

Went in for our first visit anticipating a nice meal. We had a discount voucher we had purchased with their name and address on it, and were told they were no longer accepting them, no reason given. Funny, North Carolina law says these purchased vouchers never expire… Obviously, we will never be going back and will tell all our friends and clients to stay away. Hope it was worth saving a few dollars to lose who knows how many customers.

Terriyaki chicken with rice and mixed vegetables was okay. Soup that came with meal was not good. Shrimp sauce was good. We got a take-out and took it back to our condo at Sugar Mtn.
