Had their lobster roll and also a turkey wrap. The lobster roll was not the best that we have had. The quality of the meat was dissappointing. The turkey wrap, however, was really good. High quality lunch meat, fresh veggies, and just enough sauce! Very large too, plenty to share.

Great food with plenty of variety for adults and kids and the BEST ice cream in Bar Harbor. Seriously, though their soft serve is the best I’ve had and their was 24 flavors to choose from.

This is solely about their chocolate and vanilla soft serve premium custards; I haven’t tried anything else. But each is perfect. Smooth, rich, flavorful, really the best I’ve had anywhere. I’m not much of a soft serve person, as a rule, but they’ve made me a convert.

Amazing little place in the prime location of Bar Harbor. If you want something cheap but amazing quality don’t look any further. We had a chicken burger and lobster roll — both amazing in taste. As we were enjoying our blueberry pie without custard, the owner was generous enough to bring some custard to our table — that’s called service. Friendly folks, good food and you can’t beat the price!!!

Love this place! We worked up an appetite hiking in the morning & hit this cute place for lunch. It was a crisp & sunny 64 degrees outside, so we dined on the patio(right next to the walk up window where you order). My hubby had the lobster roll with fries, while I had the haddock ‘burger’ with onion rings. Both were delicious! Lobster roll was one of the best we had here — only a little mayo on the soft, buttery toasted bun, fresh bibb lettuce, tomato and the meat from one lobster– seriously, complete with claws! The meat was sweet and decadent just as any freestanding lobster should taste. Fries were crispy & delicious. The haddock ‘burger’ didn’t disappoint either. I think it’s cute that they call it a burger. It’s a lightly battered and fried haddock filet. Same delicious buttery bun, lettuce, tomato and tartar sauce to finish it off. Fantastic flavor. Onion rings were also on point. :) To finish it off, we had small waffle cones with german chocolate & strawberry custard! DELIGHTFUL! Go eat at this place. You won’t regret it!

The sign in the window says«Best Sandwich on this corner!». The food is excellent, simple food. There is a wide variety of fried seafood, burgers, hot dogs with buttered toasted rolls, chicken tenders, salads, meatball sandwiches, etc… The star of the menu is the soft-serve custard that can be served with added flavor syrups(I recommend chocolate custard with mint syrup added). They have four picnic tables in a very shady nook outdoors or indoor seating. I strongly recommended it for great food a block away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor.

Got the Haddock Burger and it was pretty good. Was sitting outside and an exploding bird crap landed on the table right in front of me. Nothing got on the food thankfully but we moved to their indoor seating area immediately after.

Good sandwiches, fresh ingredients, overall a good place to grab something to eat & then walk down to the waterfront to eat.

Great sandwiches. The meat was very fresh and they had a great selection of condiments we packed sandwiches to eat in the park and each sandwich came individually wrapped with a tray. Would definitely come again.

The worst. $ 32 for 2 sandwiches that barely had any meat on them. 2 sandwiches onion rings that tasted like Burger King and one bud light. Not impressed. Not amused at the tourist trap prices. No wait service either. $ 32. Really ??? What are ya going to do??? Unilocal how disappointed I was in spending my money on crappy food when it could have gone to a cheap tourist trinket for one of my kids to throw away in the trash. Probably would have tasted better than the 3 pieces of rubber pastrami and slice of hard Swiss cheese on a piece of bread that was tough. I took 2 bites of the sandwich and 1 bite of the onion rings. The best thing that we had was the shared warm beer. Oh and by the way we had to wipe off the crumbs from the previous customers that also left in disgust off of the flicking picnic tables that we had to sit on. Really? Come on all for $ 32. They should be ashamed.

Food looks good, we came here for soft serve, do not recommend it. Consistency is extremely soft and Flavors are overloaded with buttery notes. My vanilla tasted like butter cream, and my husband’s German chocolate tasted like butter pecan, we had to throw away. Good service, hope the food is better.

Best lobster rolls! The come with mayo but it’s just spread on so you can ask for it without. Also 24 flavors of icecream!

We stopped here before going to Acadia Hiking store next door and our hike. Wow, what a surprise. I got the best lobster roll of my entire week in Maine, my son loved his clam chowder, daughter chowed down here chicken fingers and fries and my wife thought the cheeseburger was great. The prices were even better. This is a great place to stop for a fast and less expensive lunch, especially before rock climbing.

My wife and I stopped there in the late afternoon. I wanted some comfort food. I ordered a hotdog bag of chips and a chocolate milk. My wife had a very large ham sandwich with all the fixings. Both meals were fine a little pricey. But we would both give two thumbs up.

We often go here to pick up sandwiches to go for our hikes around Acadia Nat. Park. So all I can comment on is the deli side. But they do have other items such as lobster rolls, clam chowder, burgers & fries, ice cream, and other items. They do have sit-down areas, inside and out, which look pleasant enough, but I’ve only been there for take-out. For the deli sandwiches, you pick from each category: pick a bread, a meat, veggies, condiments, etc. The first time I went there I was confused because I wanted an Italian(not listed) which is several meats. When I reached the counter and asked I was told that«a meat» actually means«up to three meats». That should have been made clear on the menu — I could have had my order ready rather than make it up at the counter and inconvenience the customers waiting behind me. There is an ample selection of items in all the categories. The meats are Boars Head and are of the expected variety. Plus some others such as tuna and chicken salad, etc. A fair selection of breads but they are typical grocery-store-brand quality; probably the weakest part of the experience. Cheeses — all the expected cheeses; not much to say about them. The veggies: Adequate selection of the expected items and no limit on the number. Nothing exotic. I would have given an extra star if they offered some more exotic, less traditional items such as avocado, artichokes, sprouts, or whatever, but they don’t.(Well, for 4 stars I’d want better bread too.) The condiments: an ample selection. I like that they offer a choice of several mustards. For your $ 8 you get a generously filled sandwich plus a ¾ oz bag of chips — Lays; your choice of flavor. No pickle. They do have pickles, which are $ 1.50, rather good, and large(they’ll cut them in half for you if you want). I’d rather have ¼ pickle included at no charge; anything bigger is more than I want. Even with its limitations, I’ll probably go again for a sandwich to take on my next Acadia hike.

Had turkey, roast beef, Havarti dill cheese, cucumbers and lettuce on their focaccia roll and it was fantastic. The herbs in the focaccia added so much flavor, plus the Havarti dill cheese was a great addition! They use Boar’s Head meats and cheeses, so it’s good quality cold cuts as well. The clam chowder was good, but there was a little sand from the clams. The soup was piping hot and stayed that way the whole meal. A companion got a typical American hoagie(ham, salami, bologna, cheese, lettuce…) on a wheat sub roll and said it was good but the roll itself was a little thick/too much bread. Indoor and outdoor seating available, as well as many soft serve ice cream flavors. Prices weren’t too bad, and service was good. Give this place a shot if you’re in town and looking for a good, quick meal.

We stopped at Adelmann’s after a 5-hr hike in Acadia and it was perfect! The make your own sandwiches are delicious! My fiancé got a grilled cheese– very good. We couldn’t leave without trying the custard. Definitely get a flavor boost– the regular chocolate isn’t as good as the German Chocolate!

Second time visit and not as good as the first time. They redid this place and moved it over to the side with outdoor seating and still kept the indoor dining room. I didn’t remember the prices being this expensive for a couple of mediocre sandwiches plus when I say Mayo, I mean MAYO not Mustard. The staff was so lost and confused they jumbled the order. Skip this place and go down the street to the Downeast Deli. It is cheaper and the sandwiches are better plus you get free chips and a pickle.

Really enjoyed the soft-serve custard here. I had the blueberry flavor. If I was in town longer I would have come back for more. Visited: September 29, 2012
