GET. THE. LOBSTER. Even if you’re lazy, get the lobster, not the lazy one: D We had lobster morning, day and night throughout our stay in Bar Harbor, we tried all places with higher rating and more Unilocal review than this place but this place is the best! The lobster was the most flavorful, the most perfectly cooked, and the freshest. In some places we got black/dark green-ish head juices and they smelled fishy. Here, it’s light green, and doesn’t smell at all! Not to mention, it’s the cheapest one too! The lobster bisque is heavenly! Another thing that you have to have. It’s truly a creamy lobster juice! The clam chowder is also one of the best clam chowder I’ve tasted in New England. The creaminess comes from potatoes instead of tons of cream/milk. My bf who’s lactose sensitive liked the clam chowder very much. The seasonings are also on spot and not too salty. We had the lazy lobster, lobster roll, lobster bisque and clam chowder as well. The lazy lobster was ok, tasted a bit overcooked or maybe reheated. Lazy lobster in general was not my favorite. Since the meat is out of the shell, they get cold easily. The lobster roll was very good. It has tons of lobsters and the bread is yummy. They put lettuce underneath the lobster filling so the bread doesn’t get soggy, which is really nice.

Ordered two lazy lobsters sautéed in garlic with a side salad. It sure was yummy!!! I would come back every day if I didn’t live in Chicago! The customer service was also excellent. This place is a must visit for lunch!

A typical tourist bait. I was very disappointed with the quantity of the food. The lobster roll was like in the tiniest possible bun you would ever see. And the Greek panini was good but in a tiny bread. I don’t think we will be back again.

Was in bar harbor for a little vacation. Unilocal reviews were on the money with this place for lunch. You order at a counter, but they bring food to your table. Amazing clam chowder –clams were really tender. One of us had a garden salad – it was really large and dressings were homemade dressing. Lobster roll was very good – not overly dressed – buttered toasted roll was nice – large chunks of lobster. And don’t miss the blueberry pie! Service was really good. When we were at the counter looking at the menus, I said to one of my friends«I can’t decide between the clam chowder and the lobster bisque – I wish I could taste them» one of the folks behind the counter heard me and brought samples of both soups over for me to taste. I was impressed and as it turned out I ordered the chowder as a result! Great food!

We came here because of the good reviews. The lobster roll was fantastic and the lobster bisque was the best I’ve ever had. Well done.

Came here while visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park at the end of August. I ordered a full lobster, lobster bisque, and blueberry pie. The lobster was fresh and delicious. The lobster bisque was ok, but I would’ve been ok without it. The blueberry pie was yummy. The staff were all very nice, patient, and friendly!

Lobster rolls are delicious! They have very little mayo, but order it «naked» if you just want lobster with a bit of lemon and butter on it. Great clam chowder and lobster bisque as well!

I love this place. It was our Cheers while we were in Bar Harbor because we went there so much during our week long stay that they knew all of our names. What an awesome staff and a great concept, nothing fancy but they produce some amazing food. A dear friend that traveled with us didn’t enjoy seafood and loved their pesto chicken panini so much that she ate it nearly everyday during our stay here(she even smuggled it into Reel Pizza to enjoy during the movie we saw, no joke). She’s still talking about it while we’re back in Florida, it was just that good! Their lobster roll is the best we had while on MDI, so definitely give that a go. They have a sweet little deal were you get a lobster roll, a cup of clam chowder or lobster bisque and a piece of pie for $ 25 bucks which is a great value. We are still craving them! The buttered bread and the perfect ratio of lobster was perfection. I cannot stress how awesome this lil gem was, but I know as soon as we go back to Maine it’ll be our first stop. It was also one of the few restaurants that was open all day which made it even more convenient!

The cute restaurant has a more reasonably priced lobster roll in Bar Harbor, and it was delicious. The cole slaw was pretty good, though I prefer the cabbage shredded more finely or minced. The Lilly Melt was a good turkey sandwich. Service was nice.

While visiting Acadia we made it a point to eat as many lobster rolls as both physically and financially possible. Lazy Lobster was one of the stops as we planned our lobster overdose. We stopped in at this restaurant after a long morning of hiking on the Carriage Roads. We loved the cool ambiance of the restaurant and the staff here was great. My wife and I both bought the clam chowder and lobster roll combos and have to say that both items were incredible. The cost was typical for the area and I will say that the chowder was the best we had in the area. The lobster roll sadly wasn’t our favorite, but it was a fairly close second. In the end, awesome restaurant, great staff, and great food. Don’t shy away from this place if you are in the area, just be prepared to fend off some entitled clientele.

Whole family loves it! Laid back atmosphere and relaxing. Even noticed details like side salads having hand shaved fresh carrot and cucumber! The lobster bisque is wonderful — creamy and plenty of lobster shredded in there. Daughter had Caesar salad with fresh grilled chicken — she rarely eats all of a salad — but all the chicken disappeared fast. We also had the lobster salad — lots of fresh hand picked lobster! Hats off, gentlemen! Well done!

The Lazy Lobster. Bar Harbor Maine Outstanding, had the grilled chicken pesto sandwich. The chicken was moist and flavorful and just the right amount of pesto and spices. Clam chowder was the best I have had in Maine, rich, creamy, lots of clams. Wife had the half lobster salad. Fresh and tasty with mixed lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and green peppers. All around fair prices, fresh food and casual atmosphere

Surprisingly good lobster roll from this otherwise forgettable pizza/salad joint. There are many better options unless you’re just swinging in to pick up a tasty lobster roll to go.

First Time @ Bar Harbor, ME *** Best Clam Chowder *** We have been here a few days now, and ate a lot of food. One of the things we have done is try the clam chowder at every place we go. After many recipes, must say this place has our favorite clam chowder. People are nice, great service, and food is delicious.

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat. 4 stars because I thought the size of the lobster roll was a tiiiiiny bit small, but tasted great along with the clam chowder and blueberry pie! Both the best we’ve had so far. Customer service was really great as well! We ended up in Bar Harbor the same time as 1200 people from a cruise ship, so anything immediately downtown was completely hectic, this place is still very close to the downtown but a bit off of the beaten path which made it the perfect place.

Solid 2⁄5(purely based on the food) We are travelers from Boston. We came across this place on our trip to Acadia due to high Unilocal rating. The lobsters were not particularly good. They were just like the ones you can get from local supermarkets in Boston(like shaws etc.) The lobster roe is just okay because the lobster meat in the lobster roe was not that fresh.

Casual place with a pretty good menu. Many lobster options. I had the lobster roll and the clam chowder. The roll was a little tough, but the chowder was great!

Lunchtime stop — inevitably, lobster rolls. They were okay, but then so are most places in town. I wouldn’t rate them as exceptional. I did rather like the blueberry soda though.

One lobster roll One steamed lobster One cup of clam chowder One cup of lobster bisque One slice of blueberry pie One hour later of eating and chatting with hospitable owners? Priceless. Just kidding my whole meal was around 47 dollars. The place is more like a deli setting, humble and down to earth, what I love about Maine is that it’s so casual to eat lobster. You don’t need to go to some candle lit fancy table service restaurant or dress up in a suit. All you need is a bib and good claw breaking tools. The combo deals are more bang for buck. The lobster bisque was good but the clam chowder was better. The lobster roll was one of the better ones I’ve had in the area. The owner told me that lobsters are fattier and juicier in July so it’s double the meat of what I got, the prices are the same all year long so definitely come here in July! The grand finale of blue berry pie was delish! I’m usually not a fan of pie because I find it too sweet but wow this was amazing! It tasted like natural sweetness, no added sugar or anything. It was just sweet from the berries itself! P. S. They serve lobster in almost 101 ways! Salad, panini, pizza, you name it!
