The service was horrendous. Over-priced and their ice cream is not worth the incredibly rude customer service that you experience. Went two days in a row to give them a fair chance and I have to say, we had two different servers and got the same horrible service. Went in for ice cream and asked for samples(as anyone does when going to an ice cream shop with lots of different /new flavors) the worker said«three strikes you’re out» aka no more samples for you. Which I would think, if there was a sampling limit, they would either post this somewhere, tell you up front or not allow them at all. His comments and tone were so incredibly rude, that me and my friends were positive that he was joking around, except he wasn’t. He proceeded to say he was serious and that it was time to make my choice and that he would not be giving any more samples, as if he suddenly decided this on his own based on his mood. I’ve been to hundreds of different ice cream places and never before have dealt with such TERRIBLE customer service. I would highly suggest you get your ice cream elsewhere, as there are so many better ones in this area.

One of the few places I can get a soy ice cream cone in Bar Harbor(sometimes the only place) and over the years they have expanded their non-dairy flavors(thank you CJ’s!). When they are super busy during peak season, it can be a disorganized madhouse. Some of the people there are super nice, with a good sense of humor and will remember you from visit to visit. Others(past experience), not-so-much and need to learn that grabbing a cone with their bare hand to scoop & serve isn’t sanitary. For those eating real ice cream, my friends and relatives have given mixed reviews and the gelato appears to be the favored choice. Special thanks to Superman who battled the frozen chocolate-walnut soy ice cream for me!

Good ice cream. Unpleasant staff. Keep walking down the street for Ben and Bills. So much better all around

Ice cream is good. Prices are jacked up even though the servings are bigger than you’d expect. Service is what you’d expect from young adults working for a low wage.

It’s surprising they can keep ice cream in this place considering the hot mess it is when walking in. Try not to be confused, that is no line your looking at, just a bunch of flustered people buzzing around the counter ordering in a complete random and chaotic fashion. If you manage to get an overworked employee to Unilocal at you(no pun intended) and get your ice cream you find out afterwards that it is cash only — seriously?! I wasn’t even sure how good the ice cream was at the end of the experience, most likely due to some mild form of PTSD. Only after going here did I realize that desserts is stressed spelled backwards.

«I’m not sure yet» as an ice cream name? Odd bit worked well for this group. Awesome with a mix of everything. Also recommend the tornado.

Nasty service. Fair ice cream. With all the choices and great places in this wonderful community, you can certainly do better.

We stopped by here to get some ice cream after a day of hiking, and certainly enjoyed the treat of their blueberry ice cream. The«line» was a little messy cos there was an «Order Here» sign that the staff didn’t honor, so it was a little tricky trying to be polite to the rest of the waiting customers while I tried to get my fix. I’d go back though.

When ice cream fell on the ground because they placed the ice cream on the cone loosely, they told my mom«you pick it up.» They also cursed at her friend! Ice cream is okay, but I don’t think the awful service is worth it.

Delicious homemade blueberry pie a la mode! Perfect Maine dessert. It was busy and for good reason! Service was fast and helpful despite being busy.

Ice cream might be ok here, but the service here is seriously lacking. They need to train their staff on some people skills. And after ringing up the previous customer, he used his bare hands to grab the cone for the next customer. Gross.

Always great ice cream! We used to always go to a different ice cream shop in town but now we always go to CJ’s.

They had a wide selection of flavors that I have never heard or seen before my entire life. The names of the flavor DOES sound sketxhy and displeasing, but when I tried it, it was actually surprisingly good. I don’t wanna give away some of the names of the flavor but they’re hilarious. I only asked for one scoop of ice cream, but that one scoop was HUGE! Maybe its because I’m a New Yorker, but I was actually really surprised at the amount I can get with one scoop. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – Conversion chart: One scoop of big dipper = 3 scoops of New York sized scoops

Good prices, no fancy pants flavors and HUGE scoops. I think I got 5 days worth of calcium requirements from the 2 scoops I had.(Dirty Turtle and Tornado)

Yum! There was a nice selection of hard froyo here. The first night I had the coffee Heath bar. The next evening I had the black raspberry with chocolate chips — both times on a waffle cone. I tasted my friend’s Razzle Dazzle and if I ate ice cream that’s the flavor I would’ve had.

This is one of several ice cream stops on the main drag of Bar Harbor, but with a picturesque interior, a porch with tables to sit and eat, and with the band playing in the park across the street on a temperate summer night, this was the place to be for ice cream. Apparently, the 30 people in line in front of us also thought so also. The real dilemma was that I didn’t know what I wanted. Cookie Dough always is a staple, but… whaa? An ice cream flavor called«I Don’t Know What I Want», that has cookie dough, Reese’s PB chunks, and chocolate chips? Heck yeah. Fantastic. Price was about $ 5 per cone. I can’t compare the ice cream to the to the other stops in BH, but it was perfect tonight.

LOVE this spot for a mid afternoon/late night ice cream break! Especially on a hot day, to sit lazily out on their patio area with a huge waffle cone filled with their wild blueberry ice cream and people watch is the best! They have the usually flavors that we all come to love for ice cream but also have some funky ones called the Dirty Turtle and I’m Not Sure Yet. Plus they make some amazingvhomemade dairy free options as well. Standout flavors for me were the wilde blueberry, butter pecan, strawberry cheesecake, Chocolate Moose Track. Staff is always super fast and friendly but I so wish they would take credit cards for large orders…
