Bar Harbor, ME
This is a lovely little shop selling all sort of great items. I love their card selection and can almost always find the perfect gift here… and normally something for myself while I at it. :-) The owners are lovely, very friendly and helpful. Definitely a place to check out while you’re in town!

This store is absolutely awesome! We bought a gorgeous set of leaf-​shaped measuring cups, and wanted to buy SO many other things in this store. When you go, make sure you read the hilarious cards kept near the register. Not only is this store stocked full of great products, but the service was one of the best in town!

Really cute shop with a large variety of gifts and trinkets to shop for, from stationery to jewelry to terrariums to knit baby hats, etc etc etc.
The highlights were the hilarious snarky cards, the crafted dish towels, and the ceramic vases.
Definitely make it a stop on your Bar Harbor shopping trip!

As soon as we saw a variety of Edward Gorey books, we knew this was our kind of shop. There are snarky humorous greeting cards, artsy things, calendars, wool and funny knitting kits, books, terraria with tiny people in them, socks, kids’ toys, jewelry, mirrors, and a lot of other fun stuff, all arranged to provide a visual feast.
We’re going back this evening for Bar Harbor’s Fashion Night Out 2012 — it should be a hoot!

Reminds me a lot of a store I like back home, Spruce & Gussy is full of unique gifty items and home décor. With two rooms, there’s plenty to look at; but my fave finds were the handmade stuffed toys and knit clothes for kids, the bright, colorful ceramics, and all the mini terrariums!

How has Spruce & Gussy escaped Unilocal until now!!!
All sorts of radness available here. Including 2 lines of cards I’ve never seen before that were ridiculously funny. Cool jewelry, housewares, kid stuff, etc. The owners were extremely friendly as well.
I bought about a dozen cards and a felting kit. If I lived near here, this would totally be my go-​to store for gifts.
