This bar is kind of douchey. Almost every time I’ve been here, there have either been people having sex in the bathroom, or a physical fight. One night, what looked like a gang war spilled out into the streets. The music is usually so loud you can’t think and the food isn’t really worth the hassle.

I met a girlfriend here for lunch yesterday. What happened to the dining room? I thought I may have had an alcoholic hallucination that it existed years ago however my friend confirmed that the virtually empty space inside the front door was indeed once a dining room. We had lunch at a booth in the lounge/bar area. We were given menus by a waiter who took our drink orders and left. We were immediately descended upon by another waiter who wanted to take our drink orders. We kindly told the second waiter that another waiter had already taken care of us. This«Dynamic Duo of Inadequacy» plagued us throughout our hour-long lunch. One waiter and then the other came to take our orders while we were chatting and looking at the menus. When we were ready to order our lunch a female server accompanied one of the waiters to our table and quickly whisked away our menus to take to another table. There were few diners in the restaurant but they seemed to be suffering from a severe shortage of menus. My friend ordered wings and a salad while I ordered the jalapeño burger with fries. My burger — which was the diameter of a new age McDonalds english muffin and boasted«2 beef patties» — was crunchy and dry. Thankfully the jalapenos provided some moisture. The cheese was discolored on the edges from the heat lamp. During our chit-chatting at the table prior to receiving our checks, Dynamic Duo Senior came to bus our table and asked me to hand him my silverware — in the middle of a conversation. I did this, which required me to hand them across in front of me and interrupt my friend’s story. Was there a shortage of fork-prong-bent flatware in the restaurant? This was not an enjoyable dining experience. Being herded like cattle through an establishment in Barberton at lunch when the place is a ghost town is not lucrative for your business. I’m counting the days…

Don’t drink the draft beer. Dirty beer lines will get you sick!

I have been here many times in my life; the summers back home often result in visits to the only bar in Barberton with any sense of night life. There can be some pretty good nights there, and they really try to vary it with trivia nights, live bands, and good deals for sporting events and holidays. The best deal there(or it was last time I was there) is the half-off burgers on Mondays. They make a pretty good burger, very greasy, but good. And they used to have $ 1 Bud Light cans and that made for a good start to the night. The weird thing about this place is you can get so many different crowds. There can be the younger crowd, loud and rowdy, or the older one that’s stuffy and not very fun. It also varies in terms of amount of people, so you can’t really predict the night you will have here. The bartenders are really cool though, so they contribute to a pretty decent night.
