Just get the bison(that’s if you wanna pay 18 dollars for a burger) but we were not satisfied with the food or the service. Food lacked flavor and just not worth the time or money. Never again!!!

I remember when this placed opened a couple of years ago, very exciting menu for a place like Barboursville, needless to say we had been numerous times before moving. While back in the area recently we added Christopher Eats on our list of dining options. The evening we dined in was very quiet, only a handful of patrons, so for a large family we are always welcoming of those situations. Our family members, children and teens, look over the menu(a lot larger than I remember), choose their entrees and order for themselves as they always do. I ordered the Grouper and I’m almost certain what I received wasn’t Grouper at all. I’m really not sure what kind of fish it was(maybe Cod) but after living a coastal life for 12 years I know my Grouper. If by chance it was Grouper, it was sub par. The kids were also confused by the menu because they thought they received side dishes with what they ordered, when the check arrived we sadly found out, they did not. At $ 4 each, yikes… it adds up. I was surprised when they confidently ordered their kids meal and a side our server wouldn’t kindly remind us/them it doesn’t come with a side and give us that option instead of inflating a bill. Not to mention all of the truffle fries were tiny bits, like leftovers from the day. So, nearly $ 90 later… and the remnants of the day’s food, I would say I walked out not very impressed. Glad I have a big city and great food to go home to.

Favorite place to meet friends for leisurely brunch. Food and service great. Try to visit once a month. Only complaint not fond of whole wheat flatbread, who wants to be healthy all the time!

Nice change of pace for what we usually frequent. I love that it is locally sourced as much as possible. I had the salmon with local veggies and it was really great. I can’t remember what it was called that my husband got, but it was a pork chop dish, and he loved it. The price was very reasonable for the quality and amount of food that we got. Very good!

I had lunch with my son here today. I like the layout and atmosphere. It’s decorated tastefully and the staff was friendly and prompt. The Thai Chili Wings appetizer was very tasty but a tad overpriced for the portion. We both had the bison burger. They were good not great. For a $ 16 burger at lunch you expect great. It was lacking seasoning and a bit dry. Again, not bad just not what you would expect for the money. I want to come back for dinner and try some other selections as I think this place has a lot of potential and is definitely worth a try.

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I have been coming to Huntington since I was born and I am so happy that they have a place like this. Modern, friendly, great menu, variety of craft draft beers, and most of all great service. I had the Bison Burger and it was cooked to perfection! My Aunt ordered the Crab and Shrimp Mac and Cheese and it was amazing. My wife got the Grilled Chicken and it was a little dry but tasty. Haley was the definition of a fantastic waitress and made our experience wonderful. To describe this place in one sentence… A breath of fresh air for Huntington!

Passing through for my monthly visit to Huntington area and yes, I would definitely come back to this joint. Good beer selection as well as wine, vodka and gin. The food menu is decent too. Pulled pork nachos were good, grilled chicken entrée good too. Bartender was attentive.

A really great newish non-franchise dining option for the Charleston/Huntington area. The décor is a mix of rustic and industrial, which is nice. We were here on a Saturday afternoon and the business was brisk. I had a panini which was generously sized and cheese-filled(unlike some places who are skimpy on both portion size and volume). For dessert I had chocolate cheesecake which was fantastically smooth and creamy. Altogether, a high-quality dining experience, and hopefully the place will stay around for a while.

Found Christopher’s on Unilocal, and its reviews didn’t disappoint! Our server, Laken, was a doll — knowledgeable of the menu, and made us feel at home immediately. Food was delivered quickly and was locally sourced. The cheese plate was creative and delicious. The trout was cooked to perfection, and served with gouda mac & cheese and the best greens I’ve ever had. Huge portion! My boyfriend’s bone-in ribeye was excellent, and at $ 25, he considered it better than many $ 40 – 50 steaks we’ve had. Overall, a great experience. Ask for Laken! :)

Who would have thought that I would travel to Barboursville WV to eat one of the best pizzas I ever tasted? They offer a wide variety of toppings, but what sets them apart is their crust and coal fired oven. They also offer a nice selection of fresh draft beers that pair nicely with the pizza. All at a very reasonable price. A very pleasant surprise for this veteran road warrior.

Really good food and a nice beer selection. We enjoyed the bison burger and one of the flatbreads. I recommend the currant dressing on the side salad.

Great martinis! Bartender was very friendly and professional. I did not try they food due to there not being any vegan options, but still had a nice time. I’ll definitely be back.

Great menu — hard to decide on one entrée. Had the Cajun Shrimp Pasta — price/portion is great value. Sauce was just spicy enough, but not overpowering. Lots of good size shrimp also. The Spinach & Artichoke dip as an appetizer was great. Definitely will go back to try other items on the menu.

I had the best dirty martini I’ve had in years at Currant. Crafted for quality. Did not try the food at Christopher’s as my husband and I are vegan and the options are limited. Great date night stop for a cocktail.

Redeemed. The last two times we’ve eaten here(it had been awhile given our last visit, see review), the service and food were very good. The first time back was for dinner, and I ordered a pasta dish that was delicious. The second time back was for Sunday brunch, and we ordered eggs benedict, a breakfast flatbread, and mimosas. Another hit. Looking forward to the next visit.

Good place, and they have Bison Burgers, which is unique for this area. Ordered mine medium rare, and it was very overcooked. Tasted amazing, but was not quit up to my expectations. Either way, this is a nice place to try something out of the ordinary.
