Recently moving to Vermont from California I was hoping to find a nice wine bar —
Simply Delicious far exceeded my expectations. First the atmosphere was welcoming and I was immediately made to feel ‘at home’. Second (maybe first?) the wine list… wines from around the world but I was so thrilled to find wines from wineries in California that were very familiar to me. Third, besides good wine and atmosphere, there were food pairings, and all were affordable. Fourth, the gifts… my ‘go to place’ since I discovered it — great gift ideas.
Fifth, the chocolates… now we’re talking. I could go on, but needless to say it is a place I
not only frequent, bring out of town guests to, but recommend to anyone I can!

I absolutely adore Simply Delicious. They’re new space in the Blanchard Block is beautiful and filled with fantastic gifts and treats and they’re good is fabulous.
We’ve been to their wine bar once or twice and live the atmosphere of it all and the staff are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet!
Definitely recommend stopping in and looking around!

PERFECT place to pick up a gift, treat, or chocolates! The owner is VERY sweet and will make you the most perfect gift basket. A hidden gem in Barre!

Lots of delicious candies! The lady behind the candy counter is very friendly, and nice. We even carried out a small conversation about my visit. And she suggested that I visit Hope Cemetery if I want to see granite sculptures. I bought a few of chocolate goodies and they were very good.
