I gave this place 5 stars for the food! But for the drive thru window service, the lady seems a bit rude !

After sitting in traffic for about 2 hours after leaving Vegas, I was starving and decided to try this place. Soooo happy I checked Unilocal because I was very impressed with the food! Less than $ 10 gave me a small drink and half and half bowl with chicken and steak, and it was very tasty! The teriyaki sauce was really good too! Yummy to my tummy! I’ll definitely keep this place on my list next time I’m in the area!

My first time here was very satisfying. We waited at the drive thru and had to say «Hello» for someone to realize we were there so the customer service is very poor. They also forgot our side orders. The second time, my steak was cold. I won’t come back but I’m glad I had one good experience here.

Good choice and variety of teriyaki bowls and meals. Staff is friendly and food is fresh. Only reason there’s not 5 stars is the somewhat rundown appearance inside the restaurant and overall cleanliness of the seating area rips tears and chairs dust on fans AC vents etc. If you’re looking for a small hole in the wall that serves fresh delicious food at a reasonable price this is the place

Food was plenty full and hot. Staff friendly and fast. Ribs tender n tasty. Half n half was very tasty. Get plenty of rice cooked correctly. Priced very good

I love just grill it. The food is fresh and is always cooked to perfection. One of my favorite places in Barstow.

This place was actually quite good. Like many reviewers noted, the service leaves quite a lot to be desired. But given the location and pricing and the fact that this is not a sit-​down restaurant… who cares about the service?
We ordered the steak bowl and half&half platter. The meat was tasty and the rice was perfectly cooked. The teriyaki sauce itself was great, and for $ 16 all in (including a large drink) we were very pleased.
We only stopped here because we were driving from Vegas to San Diego. I would not recommend going out of your way to eat here, but if you’re in the area and looking for teriyaki, it’s a great option.
Note — the bathrooms are pretty gross. You have to take a key and walk outside to use them, gas station style. And they were worse than most gas stations restrooms I’ve used.

Best place to stop after a Vegas trip! Food is cooked perfectly with good variety affordable prices. Staff is super friendly. One last thing, the teriyaki sauce is amazing! Highly recommend this place!

My first time here. Very impressed. Had the steak teriyaki rice bowl. I loved it. My husband had the chicken one. There was nothing left. Even the dog had some of the steak and she approved. A must try

When my son comes to visit this is his favorite place to eat. He loves the rice bowls and the specialty drinks. I prefer their fantastic ribs with brown rice and a salad and a half of an orange. Nobody I’ve ever been there with has disliked it.

Love the food, service sucks! Spent over 20 minutes in the drive through at the order box before order was taken. Had I not been blocked in, I would have left. This is rediculous. Been in the drive through now for about 30 min. Luckily I have a 1 hour lunch, too bad I won’t be able to eat my food when I’m done here. Plus, the servers are Hella rude. I won’t be back.

Great place to stop in for lunch during a long drive. There’s parking and the wait for food was almost non-​existent. I got the Chicken Bowl and it was good. I didn’t even need to use the extra teriyaki. I’d definitely go here again if I was in town or passing through.

I absolutely love this place! I always get the steak and veggie bowl and am never dissatisfied with the flavor. It’s delicious! However, there are a few issues that have upset and confused me.
I’ve ordered brown rice at this location before and received it with my bowl in substitution for the white, however, there was another time where I tried ordering the same thing and told me they don’t serve brown rice? There’s some confusion with the employees.
The last time I went there, I was the only customer and went on my lunch break. They took almost my entire break to make my steak and veggie bowl. It was done as soon as I was about to step up and ask for my refund.
I understand they cook it there, but why don’t they have some stuff already prepped to speed up service?

Great place to stop at, drive threw does not work now but food is good. The drive to Vegas is a long drive and eating hamburgers and fries suck here’s a spot. At first I had my doubts but I took one for the team. It’s awesome. Food was good, and every tasted great. It was a lot more than I expected. And I’m picky. This is worth the lay over and the food is great. Hope you enjoy

Nice place to stop by on the way home from Vegas. Happy to find something other than the typical burger joint. I got the half and half plate, the chicken and steak were both great, as was the rice. The salad was kind of plain and the dressing was extremely odd. I think I’d be better off with the bowl next time. Service wasn’t bad, I would have preferred the AC working a little better, but it was 110 out so I won’t be too harsh. The restrooms were clean, regardless of being on the outside of the building. Overall 4 stars due to the weird salad and the slightly hot atmosphere. The main course of rice and meat was great though. No complaints there, will probably stop by on my next ride home.

This is an order at the counter operation. I was a little leary because we were the only ones there, but the place started filling up. I ordered the chicken & shrimp plate ($ 8.35) and found it too salty & too sweet. My husband had had the steak plate & he really enjoyed it. He did think it was a little too salty & sweet. The rice is generous. My little side salad was too peppery & swimming in dressing. His was not. Split verdict in our house.
The bathrooms are outside, in the back. You have to ask for the key. Not very clean.

Here at 3÷30÷2015. Try to get a quick lunch.
Order a plate of teriyaki. And waited 25min.
I’ve noticed that other people who came after me, got their food. So I asked cashier who never greeted to anyone, she went back to kitchen and came out. Didn’t say nothing; I was expecting any comments for my food delays.
So I asked her, and she says they didnt start mine. If I didn’t ask her why, I would not hear anything and I didn’t get any apologize from them at all.
I finally got my food 4min after. Of course, she didn’t say anything other than my order number.
If owner of this restaurant see this review, better train your employee, ANDRELLE, cashier.
Besides, food is whatever.

If you are sick and tired of the usual fast food chains during your road trip to/​from Vegas, then give this place a try. I was pretty happy to get real food instead of your usual processed meat burger/​nuggets.
Restrooms are located outside around the corner from the entrance.
This is located directly across from McDonald’s.

So I love this place! This will be my new stop from Las Vegas back home to Fresno CA. I was actually surprised they didn’t have more business on a Sunday; you would think all the hungover people would need food to cure that hangover. I had the chicken teriyaki bowl with mixed veggies, did I mention they offer white meat? It’s a little extra but well worth it. The chicken was grilled and had a backyard charcoal taste which was A-​mazing! Everything tasted fresh! The location is right across the street from the McDonalds food court and is in a little run down building but this is a must try!!! You will not regret it & I am a really picky eater.
As far as what everyone is saying about the workers, the cook was nice, but the front girl who took my order and was pregnant wasn’t the most polite person I’ve met but when I thought about being in her shoes, I didn’t let her lack of service effect how I felt about the food or this rating. I noticed she cleaned the seating area and the restroom as if she cared about her job and honestly that’s all that really matters to me. For anyone who let’s that get to them, take that tampon out of your ass.

We stopped here to eat on our way back from Havasu Falls. We pretty much took over their whole restaurant and they were still fast and friendly when taking and calling out out orders. I got the works bowl and it was enough to keep me satisfied. I didn’t really like their veggies and I’m glad I didn’t get any of the smoothies– they use powder instead of real fruit. :(
