Rodeway Inn

We stayed here Friday June 10 on the way home to the Bay Area from Utah. This Inn is pristine — well maintained, very clean room and office/​breakfast area, and friendly and concise staff (Roger and Nikkie — family run). We also enjoyed the pool — arrived at 5:15 pm on a hot day and took a dip before watching the Golden State Warriors defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers. And I also liked that the pillows weren’t 2 feet thick — I favor pillows that are slim. Breakfast was fine, included fresh fruit.

Very nice place after a horrendous, hot road trip from New Mexico. Rooms were clean and comfortable, Inn keeper extremely friendly and helpful and we had a wonderful breakfast before getting back on the road to the bayarea.

So glad I found this place… if you want some quiet time to just chill and relax this is a good place to check in. The room is very clean and the management stays on top of the facility’s up keeping. The manager (owner?), Roger, is a nice dude, real easy to talk to and makes you feel like you’ve been friends forever lol… stayed there with my bestie bf and he liked it there too… good job Roger!

Stayed at Rodeway inn this weekend and it was truly a good stay. The owner of the establishment was very kind and attended us really well, served breakfast, had a good sense of humor and is really knowledgeable. The beds are really comfortable and the rooms are clean. The prices are not bad at all we stayed there for two nights for a quick buss trip. I would definitely come back here if I ever travel to Barstow or go on a road trip.
I recommend the Rodeway Inn for anyone looking to have a clean, relaxing stay, in a little place called Barstow.

From L.A. this is ½ way to vegas. «What ever brings you to Barstow?» is the next question to follow. What ever that may be MAKE RODEWAY INN your hotel choice! convenience to everything you will need here, cleanliness, amenities and reasonable price; 5 stars (considering where I am) plus 1 more star for the customer service, Roger the owner puts in. I thought he was just super nice to me, but over the days of me being here, everyone that came in for a room got a tour of the room if they wanted it and a better price than they would get going to a competitor. I stay at hotels 30 plus days a year and this experience would convince me to come back to this specific hotel again. Roger is a true professional in keeping his guests happy and feeling welcomed. After a conversation with him he even expressed how important it was to him to keep the property safe of problems. That said alot why I would want to stay here if I am in Barstow. Not to mention any hotel I stay at anywhere. True, this may not be a Ritz Carlton, but then again there is not one here.

This place is simple, basic, quiet, and they get the fundamentals right. Exactly what i need for a few nights in Barstow. Lots of value for your money. Clean rooms. Seems like a family-​run type of joint. The staff seems like they give a shit, which is refreshing.
My girlfriend wants to try one of the hotels at the other end of Barstow closer to the outlet mall next time we stay here but I will protest that when the time comes.

This place is great. Very clean, well decorated. The room had microwave and fridge. Also there was comp breakfast hosted by the owner. This is a family operation and even Spike the dog helps. Will stay here again.

Had a very pleasant experience with this motel. It was convenient to the highway, but also managed to be incredibly quiet. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was much more comfortable than I would have expected for the price. This will be my go-​to stop in Barstow. Highly recommended.

We just choked in the hotel and we have to rate this a five star hotel for the money. We got a great rate just calling a few hours in advance and the front desk gentleman was extremely helpful. Thanks

I believe this is a family owned business by how warmly we were greeted. The space is clean, obviously cared for deeply. grandmother grows mint outside :-) we arrived past midnight and the grand daughter greeted us, made or reservation easy, and didn’t make a fuss about our service dog. In the morning they have FRESH fruit which if you are on a road trip you realize is a rare commodity. The father I believe was there and also didn’t make a fuss about our service dog… Being disabled and having a service dog is one thing but then being hassled it makes life miserable. They accepted us with open arms, their beds were super comfortable, exactly what we needed to crash for the night.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I’m a picky person, cleanliness, area, comfort, professionalism, are all so important to me and they exceeded my expectations.

This is a great place to stay! Very clean, with nice décor, and lots of amenities (coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, iron, hair dryer, etc.)
The lovely young woman who handled check-​in was very friendly and informative, including giving restaurant recommendations (with 10% discounts for motel guests!) The price was very reasonable, and included a delicious buffet-​style breakfast.

For the price and location 5 stars all the way. Roger is more then helpful and for the price the rooms are great. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

We found ourselves needing to stay in Barstow and chose Roadway Inn based on the great reviews! All the good stuff is true and Roger goes out of his way to provide great service. I love the Unilocal family!

Friendly owner, very considerate. Everything was there, towels, breadfast, HBO, clean room. And at a reasonable price.

This place is great! Stayed here on our way home from Death Valley.
Upon check in, they were so friendly, asked where we were coming from, and thanked us for staying with them.
Room was clean and comfortable. Stayed in a non smoking King. Bathroom was clean, too. We can tell the owners have a great care and attention to the rooms. Slept great!
Breakfast was wonderful! The proprietors came out, made us some delicious waffles, and made sure we had all we wanted. Coffee was good, too. I typically don’t like the complementary breakfast, but it was so nice. There are waffles, cereal, bagels, cinnamon bread, oatmeal, yogurt, coffee, fancy coffee, juice, pastries, on and on.
It’s a very very affordable and awesome hotel. We will always stay here if we are close by.

Would be nice to have a better tv in the rooms and maybe some more channels
Got really stuffy in the room and had a very odd smell
This is a personal complaint, but the parking spots are kind of small. At night it gets very packed and everyone is very close together.

Wow! What an extremely pleasant surprise. We came in after driving 600 miles that day and we were ready for the last leg of our 12 day trip. So, to meet such a cheerful and happy desk clerk, who fixed me up with a ground floor room before I asked! Well that’s nice. The room was large and well furnished. The computer desk works well and the internet is good. The TV is in a fancy cabinet, even better than most home furniture. The bed is so comfy and soft. I like that a lot. The cooler makes it like a refridgerator and that was really welcome since we had come across the Mojave with temperatures up to 113 — OUCH. The folded towel animals are too cute. What fun, it reminded me of being on cruise ships where there was a different animal in our room every day, all from folding towels.
Well enough — This is now our GO TO place in Barstow. Thank you Rodeway.

Excellent accueil!!! Petit déjeuner de roi!!! Je n’avais jamais vu ça avant! Pour le prix c’est incroyable! Toutes sortes de céréales, toutes sortes de bagels et pain de mie, toutes sortes de café (mocca, vanille etc.), toutes sortes de jus de fruits (cranberry, orange…) et le gérant est d’une gentillesse hors norme!!! Un vrai bonheur!

On the plus side, the room was clean and had a touch of India with decorations and such, which made for an interesting environment. There was free wifi which had a reasonably responsive download rate.
The down side… the A/​C unit was an old one and very noisy. Had to turn it on because the room was too hot and humid. It would kick on and off during the night, waking us every time. Continental breakfast was sparse and the coffee was terrible (I dumped it after one sip). While the vale was good, I will probably not stay there again.

Good value for price!
This is one of the cleanest motel rooms I’ve ever stayed in. The owners are friendly and helpful. The internet works well (I’ve got full power — rare for a motel) and there are even three connections to select from, in case one or two are slow. The breakfast had a lot of variety and even some protein. There were bagels and cream cheese, waffles, oatmeal, packaged danishes, hard-​boiled eggs, peanut butter, and other choices.

Value for price paid… 5
Upon arrival, who I’m presuming is the owner’s daughter was welcoming and gracious, checking me in quickly. The room was exactly what we needed, clean and well kept. Internet worked well enough and even though we didn’t partake, there was a continental breakfast available.
The parking lot was well lit and it’s situated right across from a Von’s.
