This store is way too small for what is offered and the amount of patrons they have. I have a little Polish in my heritage, but am not fluent in the language, so I find myself guessing at some of the food offerings. Most are delicious, from take home soups; to prepared salads; to the deli meats. They are probably known for the hot food they serve during certain hours. They need to replace styrofoam containers with plastic that seals since so many food offerings have sauces and no matter how careful I drive home, inevitably there is leaking if not spillage. It would also be nice if they would translate food labeling into English.

Amazing I’m addicted everything is just perfect there!!! from the hot lunches to the deli I couldn’t ask for anything better. Prices very fair and easier to get in and out than any major supermarket. I am here almost once a week wether it be for the soup the hot lunch or the plenty full d3li meats. A great little polish deli!!!

I love coming here for cheap deli meats and sausage. Their beef Tatar is pretty legit as well. Raw meat and I’ve never gotten sick. So it must be good. But, this place is tiny. If more than two people are in there it becomes crowded and almost chaotic. Maybe it is just me as I enjoy my personal space My husband adores their soups too. I’ve never had it as I don’t think they’re gluten free.

Shopped here regularly for authentic polish foods and meats. They have a hot buffet which is a nice addition for lunch. Great home made sausage’s, hams, pierogi’s and other Polish delicacies. Very decent prices.

AJB Polish Deli is one of the best kept secrets when it comes to lunch in Bartlett! If you have already tried and grown tired of everything else in the area for lunch, you should definitely try AJB’s authentic Polish hot lunch for carry out. You basically assemble your lunch(i.e., cafeteria style) from the daily offerings and pay by weight, and the result is always a high quality, affordable lunch that tastes like it could have been served in an expensive European restaurant. If you are interested in preparing your own lunches at home, then AJB is also a fantastic place for fresh bread and deli meats and cheeses.

As you enter AJB you immediately notice 2 small shopping isles. The fact is, that’s one too many for a store slightly larger than a box of wooden matches. However this match box packs a powerful punch concentrating on homemade soups, a variety of handmade kielbasa and a carry out hot lunch counter. This is not your everyday lunchtime destination… tender baked chicken, kielbasa swimming in a savory kapusta, hand made cabbage rolls, breaded pork chops, crusty on the outside/tender on the inside potato pancakes, cheese and fruit blintzes… I can go on. AJB needs to get rid of the small grocery isle of canned goods and such and open up the floor plan to accommodate what customers really want, homemade polish food, a focus on specialty deli items and some breathing room to enjoy it! A few small tables to eat your lunch would be a welcome addition to the atmosphere. As is, the footprint of AJB is a tight fit for customers. The cashier area is tell tale…2 is company, 3 is a crowd!

Since this is the only Polish market I’ve ever gone to I’ll stick with 4 stars — but I love this place! We come here regularly to stock up on some gosh darned good stuff! It’s tiny, but jam packed with all kinds of goodies. They make their own pierogies & you can buy them frozen(they have potato, potato & cheese, potato & bacon, meat, mushroom, sauerkraut, blueberry & strawberry — I can’t remember if the fruit ones come with cheese, but I think they do) — we’ve tried them all and love ‘em! The fruit pierogies are great for breakfast. There’s many homemade soups packaged to go, red cabbage, sauerkraut, etc… They also have all kinds of desserts, both in the refrigerated section & with the bakery items. Yes, the canned goods may have a bit of dust on them, but they aren’t expired or anything. ;-) Plus there are teas, candies, Polish greeting cards & even some beauty & pharmacy items. Last, but not least, is the meat counter. I think they have 6 kinds of kielbasa alone! Plus a variety of other meats. We recently purchased 4 huge Country Kielbasa links(each about 15″ long and at least 1.5″ in diameter) for $ 12.81! And they are sooooo good! Any staff working there speak both Polish & English so don’t be afraid to ask questions — they are all very helpful & knowledgeable. Oh, and the last time we were there I saw their sign that they offer a «Hot Lunch» to go… can’t wait to try that!

Best place to get kielbasa in Bartlett! They have several varieties and it is authentic. My Polish father-in-law makes great homemade kielbasa and when he cannot keep me supplied, I go to AJB. My review is based solely on this fact as I have never purchased anything else.

Great food on the«hot lunch» buffet and a nice selection of Polish meats, cheeses and dry goods. The potato cakes are a little dry/hard some times, but it could be that I come in close to closing time to buy the hot lunch sometimes. The have frozen food to go too. They are always pleasant and friendly and they get you in and out quickly. Great for when you don’t feel like cooking. The only thing I would not recommend there are the pastries/sweets, they seemed stale the couple of times I bought them. Only open until 7:00 P.M.

Very friendly staff and great selection of bread, cheeses, Polish products, and a variety of meat products. Their«hot lunch» which consists of various meats, kapusta(Polish dish, similar to sauerkraut), potatoes and other dishes which vary day to day. It is a great deal and a perfect meal when on the go or if you don’t feel like cooking. Their selection of Polish products is average since the store has limited floor space but most anything you need is available!

The kielbasa and pierogi are amazingly good and reasonably priced. And bonus, the employees aren’t hard on the eyes!
