This place is fantastic!!! I grew up in TX and moved to Chicagoland for a job this past summer. I had been looking for a country dance hall and this place was referenced by a friend. It surpassed all of my expectations! They teach couples and line dances… for FREE!!! And the DJ playing took requests! It was pretty intense that every single song a line dance or choreographed couples dance that everyone seemed to know happened(I only know the 2 step and some spins, and my favorite part about country dance places is usually that you can dance with anyone and know what you’re doing…) but if you have the time and possibly a partner to learn the dances with, this place is great! Also, there was a cover charge the Saturday I went; however, I believe it was only $ 5 and the drink prices were average for the area.

Just came back after a few years. I like the changes they have done. Not a big country fan but the staff was great and I like the fact they do change up the music. Drink prices are average and It’s nice you can order food from Moretti’s. I’ll be back.

Avoid this place. The staff was not friendly, they charged us $ 5 cover on a Thursday night and I would say it wasn’t worth it. If you are going there from the Q Center, they know you are going on a Thursday and they will charge an entrance fee.

Had a grand old time at Cadillac Ranch. We arrived at 11PM on a Thursday $ 5 cover for an empty bar… really? Oh well I guess they see the Q Center crowd coming from a mile away. The music is great and the drinks are cheap so you can’t really ask for more especially if you’ve been cooped up all week at the conference center. If you’re headed over from St. Charles it is about $ 30 uberx ride.

Omg I had the best time of my life here. I came with my husband and best friends here and we celebrated my sons 21st Birthday. I like the fact that this place is huge and you do not have to bump elbows to get around. There are different bars so it makes it better and faster to get your drinks. The electrical bull is so much fun. My friends enjoyed it. I had s difficult time dancing because I do not know how to dance western country. I did try but is too difficult is. It not as easy as it seems. I had a lot of fun.

I always have a great time here but I wish the played more genres earlier in the night. Regardless, the people are great and the dance floor is huge. It’s a fun place to go every so often.

Went there for my 67th birthday… had a great time. The Place is lot smaller than I remembered… we had lots of fun. Janet, the instructor was super! Tried to look up the dances after the fact and could not find them on website any longer.(and could not remember what they were). Would be nice to keep at least the last month’s dances on the website before deleting them. Yes, I would go again! From Arizona!

I had a lot of fun here for my 21st! Was easily able to get a drink from the bar and they played awesome country music! Lot of line dancing so I just danced near my table but overall pretty cool place. I would come back!

Went here for Halloween and it was super lame. The dj was whack and it was like all country music. We tried to have the best time possible but definitely not somewhere I’d go again.

Went there few times years ago. Owner/manager on Ego trip I’m not sure… But they kicked me out after I reported to bouncers a guy was messing with a girls drink at my table. I threw out all out drinks purchased new ones and told security what happened. They ended up kicking me out for not liking my attitude towards the other guy and let the guy who said he only grabed her drink to «put a straw in her drink» got to stay… Never been back since.

If you’re expecting a majority of the Q Center to show, make sure you staff for it. It’s unacceptable to wait in line over an hour for a drink — it certainly halts the ‘fun’ within your customer’s experiences. Being this understaffed must wear on your bartenders. Keep in mind you are also hosting clientele traveling fro around the world. By poorly serving these customers, your negative word of mouth marketing travels far. If you continue to upset this many people on a regular basis, perceptions will absolutely change. Never expect your customers to pay a cover, queue for over an hour, and receive NO service without negatively impacting your business! As a tip, next time, work closer with your biggest client to understand the number of customers to expect. This way you better staff for demand!

When I was but a wee thing of 10 years of age, I led a line dance(for the first & last time) at my Uncle’s wedding in North Carolina. I had the brilliant idea to ask the band to play Achy Break Heart(quite possibly the easiest line dance in the world ), grab the microphone and get the crowd riled up for some Billy Ray Cyrus moves. It’s been a ten minute moment in time that has haunted me since. Family loves bringing it up & laughing at the idea of me as a little girl leading an entire wedding in a line dance. And yes, there is video of this somewhere. 20 years later, I found myself invited to a Boot Scootin’ Boogie birthday at Cadillac Ranch and the flashbacks started pouring in. I had no idea what exactly to expect at a bar that was all line dancing, all the time. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised… and as much as this next statement horrifies me I’m going to say it… I want to go back! I had a lot of fun! Now there are your casual line dancers & your serious line dancers. Don’t get in the way of the hardcore dancers here or they won’t take too kindly to you. For the most part, everyone does their own thing though and you’re completely fine. I was at Cadillac Ranch from 8−10pm on a Saturday night and found about half the time dedicated to couples line dancing. Boo! Hiss! Too much time on that! I preferred the single line dancing, of course. My buddy Laura N. even coaxed Taylor M. and I out on the dance floor for a number. We danced it horribly but I think by the end of it, I was finally picking up the steps! While we were dancing horribly and getting the steps down I felt silly, but didn’t feel like anyone was annoyed or bothered by our noob-ness. I really enjoyed just sitting and watching the dancers for most of the evening. It was never very crowded, Miller & Coors glasses were $ 3.50(served in plastic cups), no cover if you eat next door at Moretti’s(otherwise it’s $ 5) and the music wasn’t blow-your-eardrums-out loud. I can see why this place appeals to people of all ages. Trust you will see some youthful 21 year olds & some swinging seniors, plus everything in between. Happiest thing of the night: They played Tim McGraw’s Don’t Take the Girl! It was one of the couple line dances which was fine with me because I was watching the music video. My country music knowledge is limited but I’ve seen Tim & Faith in concert and this is one of about 10 of his songs I know. I was enthralled with my eyes glued on the TV for those few minutes and felt the tears welling up in my eyes! Man, country songs & their stories sure get to me! Saddest thing of the night: They did not play my claim to fame Achy Break Heart. I would have killed it on the dance floor.

This is fun for an evening of country western entertainment. They had dance competitions, bull riding, and some dance education. The service was good.

Oh I couldn’t WAIT to come on here and rant about this place. The bouncers and staff are RUDEBEYONDBELIEF. A group of 15 people came into Morietti’s for a birthday dinner(I’ll review THAT shitty service on a different page) After spending hard earned money on food and booze there we made our way to Cadillac. Birthday girl made it in fine but our second friend apparently looked too young. She showed her ID(her hair was a different color in her ID… as if women don’t change their hair color…) and the bouncer didn’t believe it was her. He questioned her birthday and high school graduation both of which she got correct and guess what… they STILL wouldn’t let her in. Mind you she is 25 years old and has NEVER had this problem before. She can’t even get a new ID until it expires when she is 26. They threatened to call the police so they could check the ID and one in our party called their bluff and was ready to call the cops. At this point frustration was boiling over. We spoke with the manager up front as well and she sided with the bouncers saying she could«see where they were coming from.» We hightailed it to a Carol Stream bar, cussing all the way. We will NEVER go to Cadillac Ranch or Moretti’s again. The customer comes last, and they couldn’t give two shits about you.

I went to Cadillac for the first time this past Saturday with a friend and her mom. It’s a dive bar with a dance floor, so don’t come expecting anything else. The staff was friendly, though. There were a few dance lessons, but nothing step-by-step although I was able to pick up a few line dances pretty easily. They have a 5 $ cover, although they gave us 5 $ drink coupons right at the door, so we really didn’t have to pay anything. Drinks are alright, not too expensive, not cheap. They set up a mechanical bull around 11, and you can ride it for another $ 5. That’s fun to do, but a little expensive for my taste. There were a bunch of bachelorette parties, and a lot of really good dancers that were fun to watch. Overall a super fun night, just don’t come in expecting a high-class night.

I came here with some friends on a Saturday night and it was a bit interesting. It was a much older crowd than I expected. I felt like we were much too young to be there. The older men here seemed a bit pushy as well. Some just really didn’t get the hint that I was NOT interested. The did some line dancing lessons, but it was too difficult for me to keep up and as Ericka A said«everyone knew what they were doing, except us». I felt stupid trying to keep up. This was especially amusing to me since I was probably the only person in the bar that legit grew up in the South where were had to do line dancing in gym class. The place is pretty cool, I just wish the crowd was a little younger… and I think it is kind of silly to charge a cover in the suburbs.

I came here with some of my closest lady friends on a Saturday night in September for my second bachelorette party. I have always wanted to come here and thought it would be the perfect time to go. None of us had been here before too and we were all excited! When I looked on the website, I knew there would be country music playing all night(until 2am, when the place turns into a dance club), but what I didn’t realize was that it would be LINEDANCING all night with people in their 40s and 50s. There were a handful of people our age(20s) but we felt very awkward the first couple hours there.(I later found out from a very talented, young, cute line dancer that most of the 20-something crowd were at a Toby Keith concert that night instead of the bar — which is where my then-fiancé was). But you know what? We quickly embraced the line dancing(or for those of us who didn’t dance, we enjoyed watching). We also had several talented men come up and take turns dancing with us. I managed to get the hang of the moves really quick, considering I had never really line danced before aside from the Electric Slide(ha)! I am still grateful to this day for the one guy who taught us all the moves. We also had a lot of drinks during the night. I’m not sure how much they cost(I wasn’t paying), but we also had many guys buy us a round of drinks, which left us feeling really good!(I have a feeling that the alcohol helped us enjoy the dancing more but who cares?) Some of the ladies left as the night went on, but a small group of us stayed until 3am; we stayed for six hours — the longest(and latest) I’ve ever stayed out dancing! I am so anxious to go back — another time with my lady friends and some time with my husband! I don’t care about the reviews from people who don’t like this place — it is very easy for me to have a good time here!

A large group of us came here last Thursday because we were under the assumption that it was the place to go to for some drinking/dancing/fun. Ahhh, how misleaded we were(or at least I was). Perhaps, coming here on a weekend would have been better since the whole place was just filled by our large group. No locals. If you are not from Illinois and want to meet and have some fun with the locals… try another night, or even another place. Cover fee — $ 5. Drinks — decent prices. Music selection — some country and techno but mostly pop songs.

It took a lot of convincing to get one of our friends to come along with us for line-dancing night, so I was disheartened that our promises of a good time were not able to be fulfilled. Sure, there was line-dancing, but the website clearly stated there would be lessons for beginners and the instructor herself announced it was intermediate when we got there. Everyone knew what they were doing, except us. It was impossible to see the instructor’s feet unless you were first in the line. We mustered up all our years of dance lessons and tried to keep up. It was no use. We were utterly lost and becoming more frustrated by the minute. We tried to loosen up a bit with some well-mixed vodka, Diet Coke and grenadine, but it was all in vain. Even the extra cherries couldn’t cheer us up. We left within half an hour of our arrival. I’m willing to give them another shot. I really want to learn some line-dancing. Hopefully they will start offering beginner tutorials on the actual nights they say they will. At the very least, I hope they update their site to reflect what to expect.
