Delicious! Great homemade food just the way momma does it here in the south! Strange atmosphere, but a part of the whole Maria’s experience. Defiantly will be going back for more.

This is a real mom’s and pop’s restaurant. We enjoyed a great vegetable omlet with American fries and delicious bisquits and gravy. Maria’s gravy was seasoned just right and the texture was perfect. What I really appreciated was that our food was fresh and it came out nice and hot. The ambiance needs some updating but the womens bathroom was clean. Marias is worth eating at and it’s priced just right. Friendly service

Enjoyed a wonderful breakfast here today. Nice family atmosphere, friendly service, HUGE portions, and wallet friendly prices. I noticed that they have karaōke also. Not just a breakfast place, looks like the dinner and lunch menus are great too. I’ll be back and I’ll bring more friends.

Yummy food. Very clean bathrooms. Definitely a hole-in-the-wall(wouldn’t just happen upon the place) but glad we listened to other reviewers’ recommendations to try it.

hideous is what comes to mind when I think of the food and my experiences in this restaurant. I first went here at the behest of a friend about 18 months ago. It was a friday night and they had karaōke. It was horrible. It was terribly loud and of course as most karaōke, sounded rather like a cat with it’s tail caught in a fan blade. I almost left before my friend arrived. The food I got was swimming in grease, had little taste, and left me feeling ill. About a year later my friend convinced me that the food had improved and plead with me to return. So I did. Big mistake. Still terrible tasting food, this time service was horrible, and I left smelling like a deep fat fryer because I dont think they even bother to use their vent fans on the kitchen. I’ve not returned since, nor will I. The reviews on UrbanSpoon seem to back up my sentiments there and here on this restaurant.

I am giving this place 5 stars because it is great for what it is and what I wanted it to be. I wanted a quick lunch meat and 2 or 3 and this place nailed it. It is dated as hell on the inside but it is clean. Very clean. Don’t let the 80s country café look turn you off. I like this place a lot. A veggie lunch plate and some banana pudding is just a required occasional lunch if you live in the South.

Homestyle country cooking and waitresses that will remember whether you drink your tea sweet or unsweet. The sass from the waitresses comes free of charge. If your wife gives you grief, you’ll feel right at home. The breakfast biscuits are the best in town, as are the lunch/dinner turnip greens.(Please don’t tell my mom I said this.) For the bonus, it’s one of the few places around that has fried green tomatoes. Friday and Saturday evenings(closes 8 and 9 respectively) there is family-friendly karaōke. Children, teenagers, grown folks and the nearly dead take turns having a good time at the mic. You’ll have to discreetly sneak in your own bottle if you’re so inclined.

The place isn’t much to look at but the staff was nice and the food was good. I had chicken fired chicken, scrambled eggs, hash browns and biscuits. The food came out quickly and was hot and fresh. With most of the C.K.‘s closed this a good fill in. Good home cooking style breakfast and i would come eat here again. They also had a full meat and 2 menu and daily specials.
