Wow! This place is AMAZING!!! Everything is fresh, authentic home cooked meal. If your looking for some more reasonably priced Mexican food this is the spot to go. Staff is very very friendly and atmosphere is calm and casual. Will definitely be coming back!

We revisited this place after a less than stellar meal over the summer. Tonight was a HUGE improvement. They have ditched the traditional wait staff model for an order at the counter taqueria style. This has simplified menu and the food was out much quicker and was way tastier. It has a feel of the old taqueria that left a while back, but much newer, much cleaner and much more welcoming. I definitely would appreciate that if you were dining in that they did NOT use plastic cutlery and paper plate and drink cups, it is so wasteful. I hope that their take out containers are more eco friendly and are recycleable. They even had a survey as to what food we would like to see added and available for a take home meal. Breakfast burritos please!

It’s not often you go to a restaurant where the food is so good you order more dishes after you’re done with your meal just to try them, and that’s exactly what we did. Stellar authentic Mexican cuisine with very friendly service.

Had dinner at Cocina del Valle last Friday night. Very good, very authentic Mexican food. Service was attentive even though it was quite busy. Loved that it was a co-op.

A truly authentic upscale Latin restaurant with a menu that will have me coming back. Regionally inspired dishes from the chefs home area including personal family recipes as well as traditional selections and fusion creations that make a stop in Basalt worthwhile if you are traveling up and down the valley!

I didn’t know what to expect, I heard mixed reviews. I came for Brunch because I saw an ad for Bottomless Brunch Bar for $ 15. When we first walked in I was greeted right away. The server was friendly and recommend a few things. I ended up getting the Huevos Rancheros. I guess you can say I judge a good Mexican restaurant by how good they are. I’m glad I did, they were excellent. The Mexican hot chocolate was not as hot as I’d like, but all in all a great experience.

Love this place. The staff is always friendly, helpful and ready with a smile. The food is good, inexpensive and flavorful. The margaritas are fresh, tasty and inexpensive. I have tried several tacos, tamales, burritos, the mole and the tortas. Everything is good!

This restaurant has re-opened with a new format late 2015. Previously they served somewhat overpriced food with table service. Now it is order-at-the-counter at lower prices with fewer fancy dishes. The food comes out faster. Burritoes were pretty good.

Feels like family! Don Alejandro, long time cook at Taqueria in Basalt(now closed) is serving up the amazing food we have missed with the closing of Taqueria. This is a co-op founded on dreams and implemented with skill and talent. TERRIFIC food, great atmosphere, warm and inviting with great staff, this is my new favorite mid-valley. Did I mention affordable? Creamy refritos cozied up to chicken enchiladas with authentic and awesome sauce is just like Mom used to make.(Actually better!). Seafood done right — try the shrimp cocktail. Bar selection appropriate to the menu.
