My wife and I ate outside on a Saturday evening in the summer. Music was loud, so asked if the host could turn it down. She did right away, and we had a lovely evening, actually being able to talk without shouting. Waitstaff was very on top of things, checking up on us regularly for water refills, etc. The veggie pita was well crafted, but note that it’s not really veggies inside of a pita, but on top of them — almost like veggies on a pita pizza crust. The dish is hard to describe — it’s not really like a pizza but had more of a South Indian vibe to it(a slightly spicy veggie dosa) — but we enjoyed it a lot. Quinoa arugula salad was pretty good, too. There were plentiful vegetarian options, and we’re looking forward to coming back there again to try some of the others. Note that the side fries are more than enough for two people. So if you’re going there for a burger and fries, plan on sharing them.

Went for my birthday lunch and it was delicious but an hour later i could literally feel my stomach swelling and I just felt terrible all over. Something made me very sick. The steak sauce I think. Still, it was a beautiful ambiance and the grilled veggies and grass fed burger were delish… so we actually returned after work for a few drinks because the lit-up colorful bar is really pretty. We ended up having about 4 drinks each and over 3.5 hours… then walked outside for a cig. We had to navigate NARROWLY around a table and chairs that was IN the walkway/sidewalk and my foot went lobsided into the cracks between the sidewalk and some stonework next to the bushes… i was practically in the bushes trying to get around the table that should NOT have been there… and it tripped me. I went down. Fell on the Cement. Embarrassing enough, but I hurt my ankle. The owner instead of showing concern and offering a dessert or something, actually cut us off(1st time in my life for that!) assuming I was drunk and accused me of having 6 drinks. I had 3 glasses of wine that I slowly sipped and one weak captain and coke when we got there 3.5 hours earlier. I was not even close to being drunk. I had no hangover the next day. He misjudged and it was insulting to both of us. Besides, we were getting ready to leave anyway. The problem was that they placed tables in the walking path where I had to step on uneven pavement… and I had open sandals with no support around the back. The manager’s behavior was very offensive. Also, the glasses of wine were very small portions and $ 12.95 each! However, I do love the healthy options on the menu. I would avoid the steak sauce next time though.

If you want good drinks, burgers, sandwiches, appetizers and some popular loud music it’s fine, the wood floors with lots of patrons definitely adds to the noise level which is fine if your looking for a lively atmosphere, is the food much better than a TGIF Friday’s or an Applebee’s? Not by much if any, but yes a better ambiance which you pay a bit more for

I came here for lunch with a friend since my prior experiences here were generally good. Well the menu changed and not for the better. A burger should come with fries and not an extra $ 5 as a side. Really, $ 5 for fries?! And when a patron asks for water, can it be colder than room temp? Frankly I was embarrassed that I had suggested this place for lunch, expecting that it would live up to my past dining experiences. My other friend and I used to come here weekly but I guess we’ll have to look for another place for casual dining this summer.

Was visiting the area, staying at the hotel near I-78, and tried this place for breakfast Saturday morning, just after they opened. It filled up while we were there. The menu was, er, a little ‘different’, but once you read through it you find that they offer whatever you actually want, maybe with a little interesting twist. We had normal breakfast food, which was surprisingly tasty and of very high quality. The prices were reasonable, and(best of all) good coffee. I know this place isn’t a diner — we went to one another day — but since I have relatives in the area, you know I’m going to stop there again. Maybe lunch next time. Few places serve Buffalo Chicken Meatballs for breakfast, but this place does, and they do it well. Try the rice & veggie bowl, or quinoa salad.

Always end up going when it’s dead and never seems to be a fun vibe. Overall the servers and bartenders try too hard, but it’s not their fault. I don’t want the bartender to shake my hand when I sit down, but someone somewhere thinks this is a good idea and personalized service. Expensive for the portions you get, both food or drinks. Wonder if harvest regrets closing Ciao

Fancy menu but food wasn’t good! I asked for a plain turkey burger and it came out with all the stuff on it plus it wasn’t cooked all the way, gross! Will not return.

Very disappointed in the«new» menu and feel quality is slipping from a traditionally excellent restaurant group. Food was basic and nothing special(we had salmon salad and rice bowl).

I’ve gotten used to the long wait for food and the mediocre service(no sugar packets when I’m the first table of the day is unacceptable) but $ 4 for one slice of toast is beyond explanation. I repeat, $ 4 for one slice of toast! Also I ordered a special — poached eggs with grilled asparagus, grilled ham, grilled«local» tomato(local in April… who you fooling?) hollandaise and home fries. Home fries weren’t hot, it was sent without hollandaise, asparagus wasn’t grilled and there were no tomatoes. The Harvest Group is better than this and for their exorbitant prices(did I mention $ 4 for one slice of toast?) Urban Table needs to be much more than mediocre.

I had such high hopes for brunch this morning and I couldn’t have been more disappointed. The service was beyond slow and the food tasted as though it had been sitting under a heat lamp. My friend and I ordered omelettes and my husband ordered a Belgian waffle. It took 45 minutes to get our food and our waiter didn’t even come over to apologize, another waitress came over and said our food would be out soon(still another 20 minutes). I would have been understanding if the restaurant was crowded, but there were only 5 other tables in the entire restaurant. I wouldn’t have had such an issue if I actually got what I ordered after the long wait. I will never go back for brunch, but may try going for dinner.

We have been going to this restaurant for over three years. We’ve seen it’s ups and downs. Tonight was a down and I’m afraid that we may not be back. It has nothing to do with the service! The staff is friendly, helpful, polite, courteous and nice. The food, at this price point, however, is lackluster. Our appetizer was excellent, served hot and well done. Our entrees lacked seasoning and we overdressed. We spent north of $ 80 for the meal. Meh, other restaurants in the area offer better for less. Sorry, Urban Table, we won’t be sitting there again.

Went there 3 nights ago and ordered some Togo and they were very acomidating except they forgot the chicken in the Cobb salad the main ingredient so they gave us a gift card. Tried again tonight and got moldy dried out cheese. Local this and that where are the local veg and fruit coming from in March. Farmers plate really no local anything just run of the mill carrots celery and broccoli. You should be ashamed. My pregnant wife can’t eat moldy cheese. Keep your stock fresh by the way where is the ricotta from? I would like to visit the farm?

Great food and great service! Had a delicious and perfectly spiced bloody mary as well. Will definitely return while in Jersey.

Least favorite of the Harvest Group restaurants. I went Saturday night because my boyfriend and I were looking for a more casual place for dinner. I get the restaurant is suppose to be different from the other Harvest Group places but the service and consistency should not waiver. My boyfriend ordered a markers mark Manhattan on the rocks and just received makers mark on the rocks. I ordered a dirty martini with olives and received just a martini with olives. But overall, not a big deal. Easily fixed. Apps were just okay, nothing special. We ordered the Thai chicken lettuce wrap and it was hard to eat because the chicken was not shredded, just pieces of largely cut chicken breast. The hummus plate was nothing to write home about either. I ordered the salmon salad but asked to sub steak for the salmon, which I dislike, and this was OK-ed by our waitress. When the salad came out, I had both steak and a piece of salmon. I told the waitress the problem and they took the salad back and came back with it sans salmon. Problem was, it was the same salad so the salad had a fishy taste from the juices from the salmon. Didn’t like that, and they should have made a different salad. All in all, cute place but food is mediocre. Next time we’ll just go next door to 3 West.

Went today for business lunch. Cool little place, service and food are outstanding. Had the buffalo meatball appetizer, no brainer you gotta try them. Had the braised chicken tacos which were also outstanding. Service was not rushed, very good meal. Have been here before for dinner and also had a great experience.

My family recently had a surprise«baby sprinkling» here last Saturday. FYI a baby sprinkling is a smaller version of a baby shower. We’re working on making it trending. As the story goes, we have never been to this or any of the Urban Table locations. Reviews here on Unilocal made us a bit wary but at the end we were pleasantly surprised. We were about 17 in total: 12 adults and 5 kids. I called literally, 10 mins before we were to arrive under the impression that the reservations were made already. I wanted to give them a heads up that we were going to be there a little early to set up some table decorations. Erin, one of the hostess picked up the phone and told us that we didn’t have reservations! At that point I broke out into a sweat. Where the heck was I going to find a place, in ten minutes, to fit 17 people?! Erin however put my anxiety at ease and said that they could accommodate us, no problem. It’s also important to note that it was 11am on a Saturday so maybe that might have help our cause? I told her that I would have to call her back just to make sure that we didn’t reserve at the Morristown location. When I did call back Jordan, one of the managers answered and we got the ball rolling. One of the things that appealed to us about this location was the ample parking. As soon as we turned into the lot we were able to get parking in front of the restaurant. When we walked in, we were greeted by Erin and I was very happy to see that the tables were just about read for us(I swear, it was like magic). Jordan introduced herself and our waiters(their names escape me) were all very warm and welcoming. The place itself was very welcoming and ironically enough the NYC décor made us smile since half of our party were New Yorkers. We read that the food was pricey. Our bill came up to a little over $ 200 dollars including fancy drinks. Which isn’t bad at all. The bloody Mary by the way was ridiculously good. Fun fact, they pickle their bloody Mary fixins in the same vodka they’re going to use to make your bloody Mary. Just enough spice and tang and overall kick to wake you up during your brunch. We ordered beignets and a farmers platter to start. The beignets were made to order and were fluffy and fresh. I had the bison burger which was delicious. My sister ordered the Urban Table Burger and swapped out the gorgonzola with goat cheese. It was a flavor explosion. We ordered a side of fries and the basket of fries was enough to feed two or three. All in all, great food, great service. The only downside was that there weren’t any high chairs or booster seats for the kids. Which is unfortunate but we managed and had a lovely time anyway.

This is our favorite family breakfast place on the mountain. Nice that it opens at 8. The service is almost always attentive. The breakfast highlight is the pancakes. The coffee is ok. There are a few outdoor seats but they are adjacent to a parking lot.

Went here for a dinner at the recommendation of some family members, and I have to say I was incredibly unimpressed. The restaurant is all about ambience and style, not so much about food. For an appetizer we ordered«table fries»…which was just side sized order of fries, but for the price of a giant plate of fries. For dinner I had the salmon and shrimp burrito, which had little more than that inside the tortilla. I would’ve loved some rice or more veggies. My boyfriend had teriyaki rice… which was just chicken fried rice(not chicken on the side). The food didn’t reflect the prices nor the flashy style of the restaurant. The best part is that there a sign that says men cannot wear sleeveless shirts, but this place was nowhere near as high end of a place to warrant this rule.

The food here is good, but a little pricy. They apparently also serve breakfast now. A breakfast burrito, for example, is $ 11.00 This is not fine Italian dining, its more of an upscale gourmet burger place, and as that, it does pretty well. Its located in a strip mall plaza next to 3 West. The inside is clean and trendy. The have a small bar area with a fully stocked bar. In addition to gourmet burgers($ 15 average price), they also have things like fish burritos, chicken tacos, and even a mac n cheese appetizer. This is a review of the Basking Ridge location, they have another in Morristown.

Urban Table for breakfast? In Basking Ridge? Yes to both! After reading a few negative reviews we were leery. Since Mockingbird Café had a long wait we drove 5 minutes the other way(with the help of Unilocal) and were seated quickly. The place was actually dead. Maybe 2 other couples having breakfast. I guess the word hasn’t gone out that they have breakfast… and a good one to boot! Service was questionable. Staff seemed a bit lost. MIA for long clips but we were in no rush so it didn’t bother us. As usual we split 2 items: SPICYBREAKFASTBURRITO — eggs, potatoes, avocado, bacon, pepperjack cheese, served with pico de gallo and sour cream… totally yummy. A bit small but great nonetheless. LOCALCARROTCAKEPANCAKES — brown sugar cream cheese icing… very sweet so ask for the icing on the side… Coffee was ok. Didn’t taste freshly brewed but whatever. Prices are alright but portion sizes are on the small side. Overall a good stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner(lunch and dinner was sampled in Morristown not here). ENJOY!
