This place is a Batavia staple. My kids and I go here a lot. The owner is so kind and the service is just what you’d expect. The real show is their food. Very delicious… try the No Way Jose or just eggs, bacon, hashbrowns— which is my weakness. I love Daddios!

I held out on coming here for the first 5 months I lived here. Now I come 4+ mornings a week. Fair prices, top notch service, friendly people, and the coffee hits the table before I can even sit down. They mix it up with some interesting stuff on the weekends, also, especially if you like Mexican food I would recommend it. Also, the cooks can poach eggs with the best of them, which I’ve found not to be true at other breakfast places. For a no frills tasty breakfast that won’t break the bank, Daddio’s is it!

Went there today for breakfast and it was awful. I had the California omelet which included 2 huge chunks of hard, unripe avocados. Husband had the bananas foster french toast, which had unripe bananas and some weird, gray-ish sauce. When I brought my avocado issue up to our server, she came back with a plate of almost-black avocados. I have no idea what the hell happened to this place but we’re never coming back. Husband said«Daddio’s? More like Daddy knows… how to fuck up your breakfast.» I laughed and laughed. And then I got sad because I spent $ 12 on that shitty omelet.

Stopped in for carry out at 7am after working a 16hour overnight shift. Service was great! Very friendly and quick! Ordered biscuits and gravy, hash browns, and bacon. Pretty good stuff! Atmosphere was really cool, felt like an old school diner out of the movies. Keep up the solid works guys/gals!!! I’ll definitely be back!!!

This is just the best all-around diner. I love their skillet breakfasts and the«Ditka» is just stuffed with meat. Fantastic! The ambiance is straight out of small town 50’s and 60’s with the Beatles and Beach Boys always playing in the background. The waitresses are also very attentive and friendly. Be prepared to wait for a table or seat at the counter on Saturday and Sunday mornings, but it is well worth the wait.

This is only a breakfast joint to me, however the service here is always attentive. The exception is the«Cook» who is consistently too efficient for his own good. I think the well tenured«Cook» has become complacent given his longevity here slinging hash. This dude is quick to plate an order, but it’s a Damn Shame when his efficiency trumps quality. At times I think he is on automatic pilot, and more than not… it shows. «I’m tired of ordering a cheese onion and tomato omelet were all the skimpy ingredients only fill the half ass side of the plate». «I must have missed the«Half-Ass Omelet» on the menu were it’s the«Cooks Option» to fill ONLY the left or right side. I frequent this place less and less because the results are more and more the same.

Great, friendly service even on a Holiday. The omelet will not disappoint. Absolutely great little diner in downtown Batavia.

Been here a few times now. Amazing food, hard working friendly staff, and seemingly bottomless coffee. Good in my book, can’t see myself going anywhere else for a tasty weekend breakfast. Try their specials and their biscuits and gravy. Try their Mr. Potato Head, it was on special last week when I went for brunch. Holy cheesy potato deliciousness.

I’m a big fan of this spot. It would be a great fit for«Diners Drive ins and Dives». The breakfast is dynamite. The sausage is the best I have had in IL. service is always pleasant and food comes fast. It’s a small spot so get there early on the weekend. Yum.

Hands down favorite breakfast place! The servers are very friendly and it’s got a great welcoming feel! But the food is definitely the best part about going here. They always have creative specials, and they always taste amazing. ANDTHECOOKIES ahhh! Best cookies in the whole world!

Its ok. Went in for breakfast. Like the décor…the service was great and really friendly, but the food suffers from how should I say it…cheapness??? The food is not terrible but its not that good either. Example this famous large pancake for 5.95 comes out… looks great…but with country crock? really? wheres the butter? And the pancake itself kind of taste less … nothing to make me come back. All the other food is the same, not terrible but not that good either… just taste cheap like they don’t really use anything good in the cooking. If you like diner food served in a nicer atmosphere this is the place just not for me. when when when is Batavia going to get a place that can serve decent food.

I got the south of the border omelette with an extra egg, huge portion, well priced, cooked right in front of me on the flat top grill. The food was great, not overly greasy as they can sometimes be in diners. Friendly staff! Their BLT looked pretty tasty as it was carried past me to it’s rightful owner at another table. Limited seating, I would imagine you want to get here a while before you want to sit on weekend breakfast, but they also have a breakfast bar for about five single patrons. Would come again!

Daddios is a regular for Saturday morning breakfast. The food is great and the owners and staff are friendly and accommodating. Some of my favorites are the biscuits and gravy, breakfast burrito and challah french toast.

The owners are fabulous! The staff is fabulous! The food is fabulous! And the cookies, TODIEFOR! If you aren’t familiar with Daddios, it is owned by husband and wife, Scott and Terry Beltran. I have grown up with this restaurant over the past 6 – 7 years and love this restaurant and everyone in it like family. I go there all the time with my mom, but have made it a trend to go every morning on my birthday each year. Every year they light a candle and sing to me. It’s has always been a wonderful way to start my birthday over the past fee years(: Scott is a wonderful owner. He is friendly, kind and does EVERYTHING around that place. Terry is the same, but her specialty is all of the delicious deserts! Best baker in Batavia! Seriously, try the cookies!

Great Breakfast! Quick service, not rushed(there is a difference) and my coffee was kept fresh. Great selection on the menu and specials. Two thumbs up from my kids. My oldest had the«Ditka» skillet — all kinds of breakfast meat and my other son had the nutella stuffed French toast. I had a breakfast panini with hash browns. Definitely a good choice for breakfast if you are anywhere nearby. Breakfast entrees run from $ 6 to $ 13(the Ditka with a ton of meat.). There is plenty of parking and they do have tables outside if the weather is cooperating.

Ever since we were little, my Dad took my two sisters and I out for breakfast on Saturday mornings. It was always a special treat to go. We colored while waiting for our food, and enjoyed trying new dishes. Dad even let us order milkshakes for breakfast! These mornings were usually followed by a trip to the local hardware store where we rode in the cart and were told not to touch anything. Looking back, I partially suspect my Mom wanted a morning without the kids! As the years passed, my sisters and I started sleeping in on Saturdays like most teenagers do. We got up late and then loafed around the house till we did chores. Early morning breakfast just didn’t have the allure for us that it once did. Now we’re all a little further along. I’m graduated, out of the house and engaged. My middle sibling is away at school and our baby sister just started college. As we grow older(and wiser!), my siblings and I are finding it more and more important to spend time with each other. Oddly enough, my parents we’re visiting my middle sister when I came to Daddio’s last Saturday(10÷26÷13) with my youngest sibling. Upon walking into Daddio’s, my sister and I were taken back to Saturday mornings with Dad. We kind of looked at each other and knew from the tears in our eyes that we would have to bring him back. The interior reminded us exactly of the diner we used to frequent: small booths with bench style seating and a breakfast bar with stools where you could watch the cook. On the walls and around the ceilings was décor that reminded us of our childhood: snoopy, mighty mouse, dick tracy, monopoly boards, trains and so much more. On our table was an ispy game of the diner, that we really enjoyed! The music that drifted through the air was a retro, hoppy, beat that set a happy mood. Throughout our dining experience my sister and I couldn’t stop talking about how awesome this place was, and how much we wanted to come back and we hadn’t even ordered our food yet! The staff was awesome: they answered any questions that we had, were polite and very friendly. Now onto the food. Oh my goodness; the food was SOO good! We both had ordered from the specials: «Jack’O’Lantern Pancakes» and the«Lobster, Shrimp & Asparagus Omelette.» We were shocked at how much food we received! My sister gobbled all of her fluffy pancakes down sans syrup; the cinnamon maple butter made it perfect. The breakfast sausage that came with it was bigger than your average sausage and so delicious. A tall glass of O.J. made the meal complete. My meal had so much food that it required 2 plates! The omelette was half of the plate and was piled high with delicious, crunchy golden hash-browns. My wheat toast was perfection. It wasn’t burnt, nor was it under toasted. The sheen of melted butter on it was sheer joy for me. There wasn’t much room to talk because it was SO good. The occasional«mmmhhhmmm» and«ahhh» and sighs of delight were pretty much all we said. At the end of the meal we were tempted by the fluffy, giant looking cookies in the jar on the counter. But with a take home box in hand, we sadly passed. We will definitely be returning to Daddio’s in the future. Next time, with Dad!
