I am usually a consistent consumer. Foods great, and in my experience the staff is usually pretty good. However, my cousin was in town with his girlfriend and I wanted for them to have an awesome goodbye meal. 20 minutes to sit down when we were told 10. 10 – 15 minutes to get greeted and to order. Ignored for another 40 minutes after waiting 10 to get out drinks. When we were attempting to confront them about when our food was going to be out, the waitress was unprofessional, by zipping by us saying that food will be out momentarily without fully acknowledging us. We are pretty understanding about it not being the wait staff’s fault for late food but it kept getting more ridiculous. We ended up leaving starving and going to the portillos next door. The place wasn’t packed or anything, so I guess they are short staffed. Either way the wait staff needs more training on how to handle these situations. So disappointing. I was really set on my skillet.

A long wait brought us to our table for a long wait. I had chicken and waffles. Skip this. The scrambled eggs tasted off. The wife had over medium eggs biscuit and sausage. The eggs came out raw. The sausage tasted off. The refired eggs were off. This meal was a mess. When telling the waitress about the egg problem she copped an attitude. Do yourself a favor, when thinking about breakfast drive by this place fast… and don’t think twice about it!

Why is it that a breakfast restaurant CANNOT seem to properly cook eggs. Over easy means runny yolks, not runny whites. I love runny yolks, mixed with the hash browns or just all over my plate to sopped up with toast. Runny whites are watery and disgusting, as well as bad food form. The wait for food was fine, even quick. My wife’s skillet was deemed good. My son’s kid meal was good. My country fried steak was terrible. Clearly from the freezer and WAY over breaded. The gravy was also clearly from a mix or can. Couldn’t finish it. The toast was over buttered to the point on soggy, easily done on cheap sourdough. The coffee was disappointingly weak. The service was just adequate, very friendly yet a bit vacant. We came here when Portillo owned it and found it to be marginally better. Dick Portillo closed it claiming that Obama Care ran him out of business. Sure. After discussing it further in the car, my wife told me her skillet actually was missing two ingredients that were listed on the menu.

This was a fantastic restaurant when Portillo owned it. We stopped there yesterday for an apple pancake and were shocked when it came out different than it used to be _that’s when we found out that Mr, Portillo retired! The apple pancake had no sugar/cinnamon on top and the apples weren’t peeled! The manager told us to order something else _we ordered eggs. The hashbrowns were horrendous — shredded and burnt. No discount for our inconvenience. Not worth the trip.

Been here twice now and waited more than 20 mins for food. I thought I would give them a second try after my first bad experience, but shame on me for coming back. Server was not attentive. She didn’t come over the the table to even greet us for 7 minutes. It is 1:45pm and not even busy. Would not recommend. Poor service.

We’ve eaten there a couple times now and the family loves it. Biscuit and gravy is great and the skillets a delicious. I would recommend for sure.

Ok breakfast food. Generally service is fast, but the servers are innatentive. My food came out with my potatoes barely done and my wife’s eggs were over cooked«over hard is not over medium». It’s a fine place if you are around the area, but there are much better options on Randall and in the Tri cities area.

Mediocre at best. I ordered a skillet with mushroom, bacon and spinach … What I got. Was two eggs over hash browns with three spinach leaves on it. Super disappointed at such an uneventful breakfast

Great place! Very good food and excellent service. I was sad when they closed last year, glad they are open again Breakfast foods are very good and I’ve had many of them. Lunch wraps are good size and very tasty. Recently had the tuna melt it was delicious served with FF fries.

So I used to love this place when it was open the first time around. However the second run is not going so well. I was disappointed in the food their using cheaper products. I am not sure if it will improve I guess time will tell however in general I won’t be returning for some time. When it was gone I tried a few other places in the area like Lumes and Apple Villa which are better

Service is friendly; food is average(which isn’t a complaint — it doesn’t stand out). Not a bad choice for a diner-style menu. We would go back but won’t crave it.

He had Irish Benny. Asked for crispy hash browns with onion. Breakfast was perfect. The staff made our breakfast experience a joy! She ordered the Garden Vegetable Frittata with fruit and it was delicious! Can’t wait to come back with the girls!

I had a Grilled Portobello Vegetarian Wrap. The wrap was filled with lettuce, oily green and red peppers, tons of onions, tiny tasteless black flecks of «portobello». Not a great first experience at this restaurant. This experience definitely will not have me returning. On the flip side, the atmosphere is very inviting.

I went yesterday for the first time, and was told it just reopened. I didn’t know it closed, but apparently it’s been gone for a year. In short, we had a great brunch. The service was super, the food was fresh and tasty, and the atmosphere was clean and inviting. I can’t wait to go back!

I was at the dry opening today, Sat. of Honey Jam Café, Batavia it was great. The steak skillet was done to perfection my eggs poached where done perfect the seasonings were right on. My friend had the B & G, it was loaded with sausage served on fresh baked biscuits. The choices of fresh brewed flavored coffee was another reason to return. they will open for business officially Monday at 6:30am. Welcome toBatavia
