My husband had a certificate that he bought a few months ago and we finally decided to use it tonight. I started with a caramel apple martini that was pretty tasty and not too sweet. For dinner I ordered the 8oz filet with baked potato which came with a salad. The salad was very fresh, cold & crisp! The balsamic dressing was very good as well. It was cooked perfectly and had great flavor! My husband ordered the crab stuffed haddock, it was good but could have been hotter. At the end of dinner the waitress brought us peppermint patties and Andes candies! I thought that was a nice touch! We would go back!

Fantastic food and exceptional service. I have seafood allergies and they took great care in preparing my food and advised I could call ahead to have special meals made if needed. Amazing dining spot. Quaint atmosphere phenomenal service

Not sure what the complaints are all about. I ordered to 20 oz. Ny strip. Order med rare. Cooked perfectly. Every bite including the fat melted in your mouth and added tons of extra flavor. The asparagus was a bit of a disappointment as it was boiled or steamed instead of throwing it on the grill. My associate has the porterhouse steak… same result… awesome flavor and melted in your mouth. So it also include a house salad… not much to say… it’s a salad. I ordered an old fashioned… only complaint ANOLDFASHIONEDDOESNTHAVE A CHERRY. But I digress. Actually the only real complaint is the steak knives do need to be sharpened. Ripping the steak instead pod cutting through the moist, tender juicy meat sucks. But the flavor was awesome. A little pricy bit I beleice well worth the price. Our waitress, erica, was great. Attentive but not smothering… great sense of humor. If in Batavia, ny… Give it a try.

I guess it’s ok if you want to be the only one eating in a dilapidated strip-mall steakhouse that bills itself as fine dining but doesn’t know if it wants to be a sandwich lunch place, a sports bar or white linen worthy. There are a couple other places around town that fit each of those bills better.

What a horrible dinner. Balsamic vinegar dressing was all vinegar. Calamari was chewy and not even cooked. The Kansas City strip was disgusting.

Stopped for a late meal and ordered a burger, which was delicious! It was so juicy flavorful. Service was great and good drinks too. My friend had a steak and said it was wonderful. I eat out often and found the prices much more reasonable than Buffalo or Rochester restaurants. I will definitely be back.

I usually order the Everyday Steak Special which comes with side salad & soup. Steak is always cooked to perfection. I always get mine crusted with Blue Cheese. If in Batavia I would suggest going here

I stopped for dinner when in town for business. I am from Houston TX and was at a loss for places to eat in a small town. It was a Monday night at 7 pm and there were three other tables with diners. Service was prompt, the glass of wine that I ordered was a good temperature(I hate reds served at room temp or warmer and this was just slightly cool.) The salad was lackluster — clearly an iceberg bag mix but with fresh cucumbers. It was a shame because the house vinaigrette was actually really tasty. The roll was warm and delicious. I ordered the haddock stuffed with crab with a side of veggies. The veggies(green/yellow beans and baby carrots) were just ok, but the fish was terrific. Texture was good, so I think the fish was fresh. The dill cream sauce was very good — thick but not broken. The crab stuffing was the real star. There was no breadcrumb filler and the flavor and texture were very good. Overall, the meal was adequate and I would eat here again and try something else, the menu was quite varied and the prices were reasonable. The same meal in Houston could easily cost twice as much. My only real complaint as that my male server needed a facial hair trim/haircut to look more clean. I only say that because at a «fine dining» place such as this, impression is still everything.

Visited for the first time and really enjoyed ourselves. Had the angus cheeseburger which was very good and cooked perfectly. Our other order was the BLTT, bacon, lettuce, tomato and turkey which was also very good. Made with real turkey meat — not cold cuts. Staff was very accommodating. Would visit again when in Batavia.

I agree with Danielle. My fiancé and I were too looking for a local place to get good food and were greatly disappointed. The service was so so but the waitress was our server and also the bartender, so it is forgiven. It is not fair that she had to cover both areas at dinner time. I do think you missed something Danielle, the rolls were very nice. I opted for the open faced steak sandwich medium rare and 6 wings. I must mention that these wings are boasted as the best around on the menu. My fiancé ordered a steak medium well and smashed potatoes. First the wings came and they were cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside but sadly they had no flavor at all. When I took my wing and tried to roll it in the tiny amount of sauce on the plate in order to get an ounce of flavor it was very bland. The sauce was a mix of too much butter and a little hot sauce. There was no garlic, vinegar or any other staple flavors in a normal chicken wing. Due to our hunger we did finish the wings while we waited for the steak. Since we were in a steak house I was excited expecting an above par sandwich. When the plates came out her 10 ounce sirloin was over cooked to the point it was like a dry brick. She only ate two bites and we plan on giving the rest to the dog tomorrow for a snack. The smashed potatoes did have a good flavor but they seemed a little old and hardened. My sandwich was a nice piece of french bread with what was 50% over cooked meat when I asked for medium and 50% fat. It was one of the worst cuts of meat I have ever seen, let alone in a steak house. I agree on the fries as well, mine actually tasted like day old funnel cake from a fair. The waitress was polite and took my dish back and I decided not to eat anything in lieu another dish. I instead picked up an order of Chinese food on the way home since it was already 8pm. We will not be going back to Larry’s and continue out hunt for good local food. We have only one favorite place to eat in town so far and will be out looking for more soon.

Larry’s is a nice little steakhouse right on Main Street in Downtown Batavia. We came in on the early side on a Saturday and were seated immediately. I ordered an open-faced steak sandwich which was fantastic; my father ordered a burger and thought it was perfectly cooked and tasty. The service was friendly and the check didn’t break the wallet! I look forward to coming back for a steak the next time I’m in WNY.
