Love some of the bottles they use for their wines. They have a stand at the farmers market in NYC. I frequently check it for cool looking bottles. I just picked up three tree bottles. Super excited to try the wines and give them as a gift.

A small winery in Pleasant Valley that focuses on sparkling wines and fruit wines. You can see the roof of Pleasant Valley Winery from here, so don’t let the Bath address make you think it’s too far. You may have heard of dandelion wine, but here’s a chance to get the real thing.(Yes I know your paisan makes good dandelion wine, but this has a label and consistent recipe) A whole host of sparkling wines and an equally impressive fruit wine collection(Real fruit, not flavored wine.) makes this a must stop for those who want something different. The tasting was free and you can watch the owner in the back bottling the wines. We had never been here before ant that’s an omission that others shouldn’t make.

A «Mom-n-Pop» winery. Nowhere else on Keuka Lake did we see wine being made. Love the fruit wines(straight from the fruit, not fruit-enhanced grape wine). Too bad they were out of cranberry when I visited in Nov ’11 — grab it if you can! Free unlimited tastings. Nice mix of sweet & dry wines. Nothing flashy — just good wine.

Château Renaissance is a cozy little winery that started off our wine tasting day. Basically is tiny farm, rooster out front and the owner inside building a new doggy doors for the new pooch he just got. The back room looked like a little dutch village hiding the stainless steel tanks were all the wine is produced. Our host was a kind lady who had been there for years and had previously owned a small grocery store. Compared to the other vineyards, Cheateau Ren had much more sparkling wines, fruit wines, and dessert wines than the other places. The peach and pear Sparkles were good, almost too sweet, but not. I had heard about dandelion wine years back and finally got to try it. A complete unexpected flavor. We could see them doing the bottling in the back including a triangular bottle with a snowman on it, and a fish shaped bottle.
