Best wine in the finger lakes. I always have to stop here when I’m in New York. If you like sweet wine the sweet Walter red is the best. People are always friendly and helpful and free tasting before you buy!

This review is for the winery only. I didn’t get a chance to eat at the restaurant. The wine is okay. It’s comparable to your $ 7 bottles at your local liquor store. The artwork is fun to look at and the staff is very enjoyable to be around. I wouldn’t recommend this winery to a wine connoisseur, but maybe for the individual trying to have a good time with a good view.

Really loved this winery. Our short stay in the Finger Lakes only allowed us to venture to wineries in the Canandaigua region and a bit into Keuka Lake, but this was definitely our favorite across all we visited. I don’t recall our server’s name unfortunately but she was absolutely wonderful– fun to talk to and super knowledgeable about Bully Hill’s history and wines. It was $ 1 to taste any wine outlooking a perfect view. We stuck with the drier wines and they were all pretty great. We bought the Meat Market Red and Verdelet, both of which were probably the strongest reds and whites we’ve had in all our visits in taste AND price. We just came back from the trip, so clearly an off season. but it was nice to have the tasting area to ourselves. Only downside was the restaurant being closed, but given all the positive things we’ve heard, we can’t wait to make another trip up and come back!

Best winery I’ve been too in the finery lakes. One of the few where I like every single wine I tasted our server was delightful, friendly, entertaining, great customer service skills. If I wasn’t flying home and already had wine I’d of bought several bottles. But thankfully they ship to my state. Best end to a great day of mine. If your in the fingerlakes region you must put this on your list with a big star. Great view of the lake also. This is also one of my dad’s favorites. They have a great rage of dry to sweet wines from reds to blushes to wines and a bar under each wine that shows you just how dry or sweet the wine is which was very helpful when selecting wines to try. This would also be a perfect stop for a. girls day or a Bachelorette party. And the pictures on the bottles are pretty neat also. We didn’t get to try the champagne wine they were running low. Can’t wait to go back

Food and service was outstanding. You must try the Brie with apples and bread. The salmon and beet salad was flavorful and well seasoned. A great place to stop to eat and enjoy with friends.

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch, exceptional view and great wine! My hubby thoroughly enjoyed his Brisket Reuben with jalapeño cornbread, while I enjoyed a daily Oktoberfest special. It includes Apple smokes pork loin, pie rogues, sauerkraut and kielbasi. Neither of us had room for dessert, however the choices the neighboring tables ordered looked great! We found the wine prices to be right on par with other local wineries we visited, as well as those that we enjoy at home.

If you want a fun bit of history, be sure to catch a quick tour at the top of the hour. We were able to see grapes being crushed! It was their first day of harvesting for this season. The staff was friendly. Tasting fee options were a pick your own or preset. The wine was good. I’d definitely recommend it for a place to eat lunch before moving onwards. We ordered the wings and the eggplant chicken sandwich special. Interesting fact is they’ve recently become a no tipping establishment.

A day of wineries started out at Bully Hill. It was quite a warm day but the view was unbelievable! We started out with the tasting $ 5 includes a wine glass. Wines were very good but favorite was late harvest Vidal blanc. They even had a recipe 2 is of the wine and 2 oz of vodka and grapes to garnish. Next was the tour of the vineyards. It started with the history of how the winery started very interesting — won’t spill the beans I suggest you do the tour to find out about the goat!!! But we also learned about the climate to grow the grapes and the whole process of turning them into wine. Then our tour guide suggested we try the ravat 51. That was outstanding and we ended up buying that as well. We didn’t have time to visit the museum, gift shop or restaurant. Literally ran out of time. We will be back to enjoy the rest and get some more wine.

This was a nice winery and fun tasting. Our staff was knowledgable and friendly. We got a free glass with our tasting, pretty nice deal. Most of the wines were on the sweet side. We also stopped into the museum which was a cool perk! Worth the visit!

The wine here was less than impressive. The sweet were too sweet. All of the wines we tasted finished with not so pleasant after tastes. We did the tasting since wee were there for lunch on a recommendation. Lunch was better than the wine but not much to brag about. The crab cake which is the house specialty was over seasoned with spices and not enough crab. The scallops on top were amazing but there were only two! It was really busy and the dressing was forgotten on my company’s salad and no one returned for a while so she say and waited. I would try somewhere else before retuning. There is not any tipping so the prices are higher which I like not having to tip and pay more not to do so; however the service did not equal the higher prices.

The restaurant has a stunning view overlooking the valley and lake below. All on the shade with mostly a constant breeze from the top of the ridge below. The man meat plate is delicious. Everything else looked amazing as well. The tasting room is clean and has a wonderful view as well. Worth the trip again and again.

I have been visiting and spending money in Finger Lakes wineries for years(we live local.) We stopped going to Bully Hill because it is a zoo and the wine is not that good for the price they want. We went this past weekend after years of not going and I was very disappointed in our tasting experience. It was not that crowded but Justin who has been there for years was not his usual entertaining self and was angry about something. He offered passive-aggressive comments about people tasting, his coworkers, rolling his eyes. All of this for a preselected tasting and a wine glass. We won’t be going back any time soon or will my money. As a side bar, I would like to know why every Keuka Lake winery gives us a glass that is included in the price of the tasting; this is relatively new, it used to be an option. I don’t want any glasses, I would rather taste your wine and spend the extra money you charge on buying your WINE not your glasses. In years past we would buy 2 or 3 bottles of wine per winery, this time we only bought 1 bottle because of that damn glass!

I’m not a fan of their wine. This rating is purely based on their food which is the reason I went today. Went on the Sunday after Thanksgiving and everything was blissfully silent(great news for this introvert!). The view from the parking lot was spectacular. I love the Fingerlakes and this is the quintessential Fingerlakes view. We were the only people in the restaurant when we got there. Our hostess/server was kind and friendly. She made genteel small talk with my mother and smiled a lot. My mother ordered the baked brie. It came with almonds, cranberry compote, and crostini. She cooed and complimented her way through her food. Said that it was melted through but not too much to become rubbery. Dad got the barbecue sampler. Smoked wings were incredible and he was very happy with everything else on the platter as well. It came with a large bowl of maccaroni and cheese which I tried – perfect. A little sharp just like New York mac-and-cheese should be. A smattering of crispy breadcrumbs on top. Yum! Husband got the brisket Ruben. Very good – I tried it.\ I got the veggie grilled cheese. I was expecting a grilled cheese(heavy on the cheese) with a few little chopped up vegetables on it. It actually came with more than an inch of thinly sliced, grilled veggies – peppers, onions, tomatoes, zuchini. I instantly became nervous because when there are that many grilled vegetables on a sandwich things can easily become slimey and a bit tasteless. Couldn’t have been more wrong. Not slimey, not oily, and wonderfully flavorful. I was impressed. It came with a cabbage salad – vinegar based, no mayo. Also delicious. I ate my dad’s too because he didn’t want it and it was so good. Mom and dad were thrilled to have enjoyed such a great meal. They just moved to Bath and were looking for a new place to enjoy Sunday lunch. I’m sure that we will return with them on our next visit.

We were in area for the Tour de Teddi charity bike ride for Camp Good Days. Since their dinner hours are relatively early and short we arrived by 5:30pm and were able to get one of the tables on the edge with a view. The service was very efficient and friendly. The entrees come with good size salads which is unusual these days. The salmon in grape leaves was very moist and tasty. The sauerbraten was good though a bit dry, the red cabbage was good but could have used some bacon. Unfortunately the German potato salad was very bland — they need a better recipe! This place is about the view but the food is good too.

I love love love this winery, and will certainly be back next time I’m in the vicinity. You can taste all of the wines for $ 1/taste, or limit yourself to a certain selection of 5 wines for $ 5, plus a wine glass. To hell with the wine glass — bring on the wine! I like that they scale the wines(dry-sweet), so that you know what you’re picking in advance. The tasting room’s windows overlook Keuka Lake, providing a beautiful view. Needless to say, we tasted a whole heap of wines, enjoyed them, and walked out the door with a case of assorted wines. Most are in the $ 8 – 10 range, so it’s not like you have to worry about paying the mortgage. They also have tours of the winery, an art gallery, a restaurant and a gift shop.

I don’t even know where to begin. Everything about Bully Hill is incredible. The food at the restaurant is outstanding. I always get the smoked sampler. The wine selection is quite extensive. I love sweet whites(Traminette is my fave) while my husband prefers dry reds(especially the St. Croix.) The gift shop has everything you could imagine related to wine. My husband ordered me a few new wine glasses from the gift shop and they arrived quickly with a hand-written thank you note for our order. To put it simply, I love Bully Hill!

Whoa, boy. My lunch here was INCREDIBLE. I got the BBQ sampler. It came with a giant pile of pulled pork, sliced brisket, smoked chicken wings, jalapeño cornbread, a pile of mac and cheese, and some vinegar based cole slaw. Not only was everything delicious(especially the pulled pork!) but our waitress(a short blonde woman named Gail or something that started with a G) was very sweet and attentive. The view here is nothing short of spectacular, and if we had more time I’m sure I would have enjoyed touring the rest of the grounds. Loved it!

Beautiful winery located off the beaten path in the finger lake region(close to Hammondsport). The food was delicious! I had the BBQ portobello mushroom burger and it was delicious. I had brunch along with 10 other family members and we all loved the food and drinks. The wine selection is homegrown and tasty. They brought out canoli birthday cake for my sister and it was heavenly tasting. Honestly, amazing. There was a cute outdoor section however the rain kept us indoors. There is also a separate wine tasting room. You can pay $ 5 more and receive a glass along with your tastings. Great place to go if you ever find yourself in the Finger Lakes region.

Loved the location and view more than the wine itself. This is an awesome location in the Fingerlakes region and has beautiful views as well as lots of grapes grown on site. The restaurant had a pretty good menu and we enjoyed everything we ordered. It was an especially nice meal due to the beautiful weather; I definitely recommend sitting outside(which is still covered). They have a lot of specials and I would definitely suggest trying them. I also liked the tour which is every hour on the hour and pretty informative. They have a pre-selected tasting which I don’t recommend. It’s fairly cheap($ 6 for 6 wine I think) and you get a wine glass to take home but I wasn’t pleased with most of what I tried. You also have to wait until one of the group tastings start(about every 20 minutes) as they explain them to everyone at once. I would suggest doing the custom tasting instead which is still $ 1 a taste but without the glass to take home. The wines that I selected myself were a lot better and they didn’t end up charging me for them since I had already done the other tasting. Still not the best wine I’ve had but much better than the pre-selected tasting(where you have 2 choices for each wine and pick 1 of them).
