This place is amazing! This was our second visit, and it was even better than the first. The host greeted us warmly upon arrival by opening the door for us. There was a short wait, and we were seated after about 10 minutes. Our waitress Kat was great. She was warm and engaging. Her suggestions were wonderful and we enjoyed everything she recommended. The eggs Benedict was poached perfectly and my husband’s French toast was the best I’ve tasted in years. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a great place for Sunday brunch!

Walked in 30 minutes before close, so I get it, everyone is «ready to go». The hostess had an attitude. The French toast was dry, the bacon was old and burnt. Everything was old actually. And like I said I get that I walked in 30 minutes before close. I suggest that if you’re going to serve sub par food and have sub par attitudes I should only have to pay a sub price for the meal. If the store closes at 2pm, but everyone’s mind closes at 1pm, close the restaurant at 1pm!

One star because I can’t give 0 stars. Terrible service and attitudes from the host and hostess in the front of the house. I understand it was Father’s Day, but my family and I will never be eating here again. I called ahead for a party of 7, and was told it would be an hour from when I called. After it had been an hour, I asked about our wait time and was told it would be 15 minutes and that we were first on the wait list. After the 15 minutes I asked again, only to be rudely yelled at by a guy in gold rimmed round glasses. It took them 10 minutes to clear off our table after a large party left. Totally unacceptable. Food was just ok, we did not receive our food until 2 hours after we arrived.

Ordered bacon and over medium eggs. Had to send the eggs back because they were not even over easy. Manager brought my eggs the second time and they were still very much undercooked. Waitress and manager were both very polite and the eggs were taken off of my bill and we were given a $ 25 gift certificate. The bacon was good. However, I feel a breakfast place should be able to cook an egg properly, especially given two shots at it. I’d even eat an over easy egg if I had to. But these eggs were severely undercooked. Yuck.

We had a great FIRSTTIME experience, & it was at the Perkins Rest. We were seated immediately by a courteous & pleasant host, & our waitress, Tanya A., came right up to service us. Tanya made valued recommendations upon our request, & often came back to check on us. We were given a large portion of everything; & it was hot & absolutely delicious. This may have been our first visit, but it definitely won’t be our last.

The staff members were friendly, as soon as the door opened. Our waitress was helpful and informative regarding their menu and gluten intolerance. The gluten-free pancake was very well prepared, and enjoyable. Obviously, Management is on the ball. We would definitely return.

This was our first visit. It’s a great find. Very good food presentation and very good taste. I’m glad we stopped in.

To my surprise this location wasn’t packed like the one in Citi Place. The hostess and waiter were very helpful. I even remembered to ask for the complimentary beignets! I must say the honey dipping sauce you can dip them in made it taste like heaven in my mouth. The food took a little longer than expected seeing as the place was semi dead. Although it was very delicious and filling. I liked that there were also various options of jam to use on your English muffin.

If you are a Paleo or clean eater pass on this place. It was impossible to order anything clean. So I ordered a steak and eggs and the salt was so dance on my sake they had to ask for water to soak the salt off of it. And the potatoes or deep-fried which would only veggies so I could get.

My wife and I love this place! Their coffee is great, and so are the pancakes and the eggs benedict. First time there for a breakfast date the wait was long and the manager apologized and gave us a coupon for free beignets(that were amazing, says the wife).

The omelette’s are the way to go along with a side of their grits. Consistently cooked to perfection. The Popeye is my favorite with spinach, bacon, onions and Monterrey jack cheese so yummy. I’m not a bacon fan and rarely ever eat it, but I even love their bacon. The French toast is just okay at best, just not as sweet as I prefer. They offer a nice selection of fresh fruit as well. The waiters have always been pleasant and very accommodating. I love having this location on this side of town and he patio dining area is a nice option on pretty days.

The staff was nice and the place is clean, but food was very bad. My daughter’s hot cakes were uncooked, my omelette was soaked in grease, I ordered Gouda cheese instead of the regular choice and they just simpy put a slice of cheese on the omelette. This is supposed to be a preferred choice for breakfast and eggs are the specialty but food quality is very bad compared for example to black walnut café.

This review is really about one thing: Bacon. Quite possibly the world’s most perfect food. I know — we’re not supposed to eat it. It’s terrible for you. Blah blah blah. But the truth is: Bacon is awesome. Yes, it will probably kill you but that’s a given — something’s going to get you. It might as well be bacon. That being said — when it comes to bacon in Baton Rouge — ABE is the place. I’ve eaten all kinds of bacon here but the consistent front-runner — for me — is Another Broken Egg. Apparently there are other things on the menu too. Like eggs. I’m sure they are awesome. But they aren’t bacon. Try the bacon. Seriously.

Very awesome place for breakfast, lots of food on the menu, nice clean setting, for this trip I had the Mardi Gras omelet full of shrimp, onions, sausage spicy hollandaise sauce and crawfish(did not give 5 stars due to gamey tasting crawfish) also came with potatoes and English muffin all in all a very nice experience even got me a nice souvenir coffee mug, for breakfast this a place to go to in Baton Rouge. Customer service was very nice.

A great place for breakfast and brunch! Awesome atmosphere, décor, service and Food! The Stan’s Mardi Gras omelette was awesome! Our biscuit beignets were over cooked though. They are very busy, it did take a little while for the food to come but it was worth it.

The crab cake Benedict was very excellent! The hollandaise sauce was perfect. The potatoes were cooked perfectly for the small crunch. The crawfish omelette was superb as well as the sauce. The coffee was boiling hot just as we like it and the orange juice was just right. The staff was nice from entering the front door all the way thru our meal. This is the perfect place for brunch! A must! To top it off, the coffee mug is a great souvenir hand made and any color you want. It is a must buy. The souvenir mug is a Baton Rouge must for the whole experience.

I came to Another Broken Egg Café on a Sunday morning and the place wasn’t packed. There was one large group a few other customers and us. Our waiter appeared to be scattered and frenzied to cover the large group and keep up with us. Looking around, I noticed that there were 4 or 5 other servers not doing anything… how about when one server is frenzied to cover a large group and another table, you help out or something… just a suggestion. But…the food. The City Grits are delicious… they are everything! Baked bacon, scallions, and cheese in smooth buttered grits! They were good enough to almost make me forget about the lackluster service… almost. I also had the BacQuezo omelet w/potatoes and tried the biscuit beignets. The biscuit beignets were similar to Chinese donuts served in some American style Chinese restaurants, except these were covered in powered sugar and not crystal sugar. They were fine, but nothing special and the marmalade that came with it wasn’t great. The BacQuezo omelet was… so-so. The meat/cheese/egg ratio was off; there was way too much egg. The potatoes were fine… a little salty. If I had to do it over again, I’d just get a larger order of the City Grits and get it to-go.

This place is simply the most relaxing place I’ve been to so far, the music and ambiance is so sublime. The waiter who helped me was training a young(very)beautiful waitress on her first day. I was completely lost on what to decide on and I just do what I normally do and ask for the recommendation, the gentleman told me that his personal favorite is a Lafitte Burrito. When I received my plate, it was warm to the touch freshly cooked to my liking. I took my knife from a prepped utensil cloth and attempted to slice into the burrito, and to my surprise it sliced through like butter with no resistance. It was difficult to pick up properly without having to spill everywhere and I failed each time but I didn’t care, I ate the first piece and I’m so happy. Once again the proportions were perfect, I felt full but not stuffed which is to me «The Perfect» meal. I’d recommend this place especially in the morning before they get crowded.

Love love love this place! Seriously, it was so awesome. I wanted to eat everyone’s food at the table. Thankfully, I was able to control myself and didn’t. Of course as I always do, I ordered the healthiest thing I could find on the menu, the Granola, Fruit and Quinoa complete with toasted coconut covers bananas! And though it was completely delicious, I quickly regretted it the minute everyone else’s food came out seeing that they ordered waffles, omelets and hash browns. I’m such a sucker for an old fashioned breakfast. The décor was cute and quaint and I totally loved their clay pottery coffee mugs! Too bad they were $ 20 per mug!

A couple months back I tried to go here on a Sunday with friends around noon and there was a long wait time. We decided to go to pelican house that day for brunch instead. Today I went with my parents around 9:30 am and it wasn’t busy. We didn’t have a wait time. The menu had a lot of different things I wanted to try it was hard to pick. I decided to try the southern crab stack brunch specialty and it was amazing. I got the city grits as my side instead of potatoes because I got to try them from my parents. The seasoned potatoes were good. The city grits were awesome they had bacon bits and cilantro and I think diced tomatoes if I remember correctly. They had Gouda cheese in them as well ahhhh my favorite cheese. Great friendly hostess and staff. Definitely will be back I have so much more I want to try. But I’ll prob get the city grits with whatever every time. I’m a cheese grits kinda gal. If you like good breakfast and start your day off right. I’d recommend going here.
